Was recommended a couple of dishes that sadly were not available when we dined! Some of the dishes we ordered were nice, particularly the Pecking Duck Bun which was amazing, everything else food-wise was just okay although the presentation of everything was lovely. Ambience and staff were excellent, cocktails were fab too. I would go again just for drinks as food a bit overpriced for what I thought of it.
The restaurant is a total experience - cool design and decor, great tasting food and drinks, and great service. Trendy and somewhat pricey, but worth it. We especially enjoyed the Peking duck buns, Kung Pao chicken and crispy duck rolls.
Food was out of this world. I did request when booking the table to have a table underneath the blossom tree as we were coming for my birthday and we were just placed on a standard table in the corner. Felt like me requesting that when it asks for any messages on booking, it didn’t actually get listened to.
Would eat here again though just for the pure quality of food.
First visit for wife’s birthday with friends. Fantastic food and ambience. We shall be back.
Fantastic place, really enjoyed ourselves 😌
Waited over an hour for the food because there was a staff meeting find this inappropriate considering we were customers.
The food and our waiter were fantastic unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for our pre booked table. We were however offered a bottle of Prosecco and nibbles by way of compensation.
The only good thing on the menu is their drinks. The food is poorly seasoned and waiting staff were rather rude. We spent an awful lot of time waiting around.
I booked this as a last minute lunch trip on our visit to Manchester for my birthday . I had been previously to the Tattu in Leeds so my expectations were already quite hight but this visit out did itself! The customer service was amazing, and the waiter was really attentive; make us feel so welcome. We were a party of 6; We never have to ask for refills, he was always on it and the food was perfect. The waiter asked about the occasion because I'd not specified that it was my birthday and, to top it off he brought a dessert and sparkler to the table which was a suprise to us all, and that really made it for me! I felt so special so thank you guys!
The restaurant was beautifully set out, the cocktails were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Easily the best place I have ever visited.
Food just wasn’t as amazing as previous experiences
Food and drink was very expensive and the normal menu was a bit limited as there were options for set course options which had different dishes available. However some of the food kind of met the pricing of it and was good quality and tasted nice. Music was loud but pleasant and the service was okay. One thing that annoyed me was that a service charge was added onto the bill of about 15%. I feel like a tip should be voluntary and it was very cheeky of them. Make sure you ask for tap water as they give you water from a bottle and charge you. I would recommend for people who have a lot of money to spend.
The service and food let us down . I did not enjoy the time spend . I felt not valued as a customer . The food was about average . The experience was awful. I can’t get my head around why the restaurant have such a great reviews .
Yeas decor is amazing , shame that the rest does not follow .
Long wait between the courses , at one point we were given food , but we did not have cutlery to eat it . Food does not taste right . I did not finished my meal .
I did experienced before a Asian fusion fine dining , but this experience was below such .
I simply regret that. I make a reservation in there to celebrate my birthday .
Good food in a cool environment, something a little different.
Best restaurant in Manchester. Will definitely be going back!
Fanastic ambience, matched only by the food and service!
Great vibe, fabulous food and service. Only negative might be value for money. Overall I would still recommend this restaurant.
Tattu, was an incredible experience and it worth visiting. However the prices are so expensive they could give more food with the value that is paid.
Our food was excellent as was the atmosphere and service. Our only issue was that, although done politely, after 50 mins we were told we had one hour left, then told 20 mins left, then told 10 mins left, then the bill arrived with 5 mins keft.... I understand all the reasons, but as they had served all the food on time and we were not dragging our feet so were on time to leave anyway, the countdown was a little unnecessary.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent, friendly but efficient.
Amazing lunch. Enjoyed every single mouthful. Very attentive staff. Will return ASAP.
Outstanding evening on Sunday! Thank you! Food and service was second to none
First time at Tattu, and celebrating a birthday. There was a problem with our table, booked for 9.30pm, but didnt sit down until after 10pm. To be fair, staff did keep us informed and brought us nibbles, but unfortunately we were really past it by the time we were settled at our table. Then the first 3 items we chose from the menu were not available. The food that arrived fell into 2 categories, really good or luke warm, the noodles we assume were microwaved because half the bowl was red hot and half stone cold, they did replace them, but overall a disappointing experience.
Great service, lovely food and nice cocktails. Bar staff were pleasant and service was speedy
Got a bar table which was due to a last minute booking so can’t complain. Service was good and we was talked through the halal options. Bit pricey especially for lambo chops for £24 and barely any meat but apart from that it was a pleasant visit
Amazing food; but unfortunately we had to wait ~40 mins in the bar before being seated - despite having booked weeks in advance for 18:00.
Absolutely beautiful food, great service, great wine. Loved it and can't wait to go back. A little on the expensive side but worth it for a special occasion meal.
Love, love, love Tattu.
Perfect service, knowledgeable team. Superb food. Big on flavour, quality and presentation.
Would recommend if the food was up to standard for the money. Service and atmosphere excellent
Our waitress was unbelievable, didn’t catch her name but she was brilliant.
Will definitely be going back.
We have been to Tattu on many occasions and have raved about the amazing quality of food and service. However on this occasion we were really disappointed. Two guests and glazed honey chicken, which was bland, cold and quite poor quality. Two guests had ribs, the sauce was far too rich and therefore made the portions unmanageable. The rice that we usually get to share as a side order came in a very small sized portion. We all just felt that somehow this current menu with the changes to some of the classic dishes has lost the superior quality that we had previously been used to at Tattu. We won’t be going back for food anytime soon. Oh and we had to wait for 10-15mins for one persons meal to arrive after everyone else’s 🙄
Excellent experience.the starters were better than the mains. Overall we will go again for a good meal and very good service
A great dining experience, sophisticated surroundings, great food and most importantly very good staff who were friendly, informative, efficient and professional.
A great night out
The waiter josh was so professional and helpful...definitely will return again
Have wanted to try this place for some time but after going there for evening lunch on the set menue I found the food to be very standard and nothing you would not get from any normal Chinese. The ambience and atmosphere was very nice but certainly not worth the £110 bill that we got at the end for just 2 of us! Great place if you like to pay over the top for avaerge food but be able get a picture under a tree for Facebook or Instagram. Is this really worth the price tag? I would say no
Super food and great drinks menu. We loved the tasting menu as every dish had fabulous flavours. Not cheap but worth it for a special occasion
Amazing all round, not a bad word to say about this place at all.
Really disappointed with the vegan menu . I love mushrooms 🍄 but lots of vegan 🌱 don’t like mushrooms. The dessert was so bad! Raspberries sorbet was the only vegan option!! Really disappointed
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Dying to go back!
This was my 4th visit to Tatu, it's easily the best restaurant in Manchester. Highly recommend.
