The food here is really good, but the service was extremely slow and inattentive. We spent over 2.5 hours at the restaurant and we only had starters and mains. We had to enquire on numerous occasions when the food was arriving to the table, the same for when an additional bottle of wine was ordered. The desert menus came, but the waiter never came back to ask if we wanted a desert - just took the menus back. When we did decline to pay the service, the manager came over and was quite angry that we wouldn’t pay the service because we didn’t receive the wine we ordered, and wasn’t listening to the fact that we were there so long and had to chase the entire evening. It’s quite a shame as we really enjoyed the food and always look to support local restaurants.
Service is excellent here, atmosphere is fab! Would recommend to everyone.
An excellent Italian Trattoria with lovely food far above the norm. The wine surprisingly good for the price and I will definitely go back and recommend. So why not a 5* rating?
The pasta whilst good is not outstanding and does not compare to Padella in London Bridge.
I had the Cacio e Pepe which could have been better. It is a simple dish but difficult to get right. I know I have tried and not succeeded as yet. Each strand of the pasta must be coated with the sauce, here it was too thin to do its magic. The Cacio E Pepe at its namesake in Pimlico does the best one I have tried
It was a bit unfortunate we had to wait an hour or so for our main course...... seemed they had t heir eye off the ball, we weren't the only ones struggling to get service.... but will possibly try again.
My wife dined here soon after the restaurant opened, and had a wonderful time. Great food, buzzy atmosphere—she was excited to bring me. Sadly, not so great now. We came at the end of a bank holiday weekend, perhaps not the most popular time and were disappointed. They had run out of several of the more popular menu choices, the batter on my calamari was dry and thick, as though it had been sitting in a bowl of lour for quite a long time, and whatever the vegetable was that came with the lamb chops was impossible to chew. They had even run out of mashed potatoes!
Perhaps this restaurant is now content to serve pizzas to passersby, too bad, because when it opened it was a cracker.
Really lovely evening. The food was delicious and we had friendly service. It took a little time for the food to come out but it was worth the wait. My only suggestion would be that they change the music or get rid of it completely, as it didn’t really add anything to the ambience of the restaurant.
Very disappointing experience. We reserved a table, arrived on time but left to wait for 25 mins standing by the front door. No apology. People who were sat down were waiting ages for orders to be taken. In short, they take too many bookings and have too many tables for the capacities of their kitchen and waiters. After 25 mins there were no diners leaving so we were probably in for another 30 min wait. No choice but to walk out. Fortunately Pizza Metro nearby is much better run.
Food was lovely but small portions.
Disappointed to find they allowed dogs in and 3 arrived after we’d started dining. One which barked, a lot. Had they been there before we arrived I wouldn’t have stayed.
Great, authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Good wine also. Slightly confused service at times but I'm putting that down to the restaurant being new. Well worth checking out.
Lovely authentic Italian - great food and service. Can't go wrong!
Fabulous addition to the Battersea and Wandsworth food circuit
Good food, good wines, friendly and welcoming service
Good atmosphere. The food quality is very good. Tonight was a bit heavy on the salt and use of chili pepper, but overall good. The house wine is great and other customers seemed to like the wine selection beyond that. My second time here and I will return. The staff works to meet the customer’s needs and requests.
