The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. We've sympathetically restored these two rooms to highlight their original features, whilst adding our own modern vintage twist - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ornate plaster ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose. It really is an incredible setting for delicious dining.

Our award winning chef Glenn Roach who has previously held 3 AA rosettes and now already earned 1 AA rosette with his take on home cooking looks to recrate classic dishes and lets the locally sourced produce speak for it self

It was a pleasant taster menu with only one course not very flavoursome which we fed back. We were disappointed to only get one and half scallops but they tasted good. There was just enough venison for the main meal but there plenty of pudding which was delicious. The hotel and restaurant are lovely and the services is excellent and friendly. The ambiance was a bit lacking as we were the only people left in the end and in the bar (it was only 8.30). the owner was very accommodating as i forgot the itison voucher which he allowed me to send the next day. i will definitely return.

Used an itison voucher that had been given to me for my bday. Mid week meal and the restaurant was relatively busy. Service was great. Food was tasty but not particularly hot and I have had a sicky tummy since. The place is beautiful but was cold and my daughter had to sit with her jacket on during her meal. There was no toilet roll in one toilet and one was out of order leaving only one accessible toilet. We added one soft drink and two desserts to our meal and this cost £22 which seemed expensive.

Went last night and had the 5 course tasting menu. Faultless. Very a giant surroundings, staff friendly and helpful, wine not too expensive, food tasty and well presented. Definitely will make a return visit

Food good, A bit overpriced £9.00 for a choc fondue with a spoonful of ice cream a spoonful not a scoop £6.30 for a small wine. Dining room quiet nice lovely ceiling but not a cosy atmosphere. No soap in ladies toilet a must I would say in Covid times toilet seat broken off and sitting up against the wall, toilet lets the place down. overall good food but not worth the extra I had a voucher for the steak

Dear CaroleL, I find it hard to agree with your statement we are over priced especially when you used a 2 for 1 voucher on the evening. £9 for a chocolate fondant in a restaurant is very resonable considering the time and skill the chef takes to make sure this dish is executed perfectly, they don't just shove it in a microwave! £6.30 for a small glass of wine in a restaurant is reasonable and inline with other restaurants in the area. We don want to apologise for their being no soap in the toilet but again this could easily be rectified by bringing it to the attention of the staff instead of waiting to write a review. Its a shame you wont recommend us on such small details. Kind Regards, General Manager

My husband and I had the Tasting Menu which was 5 glorious courses each one was as good as the next so delicious and like a work of art on the plate! Served in a lovely atmosphere at night with light background music so you can hear each other talk and service was excellent with enough time given in between courses letting yourself rest. This is a definite for returning as the food was so good I would urge others to try. A big applause for all the chefs

Very enjoyable early (12 - 14:00hrs) Sunday lunch. Attentive staff, good food. Look forward to doing it again. Wallpaper was not to my taste but did not spoil my enjoyment!

We had been given a Itison 5course voucher as a Birthday Gift , all 5 courses were excellent and I preferred Hake option to Scallops but my Wife received one scallop when the menu stated in the plural Scallops, that was the only downside to the excellent experience .

We've been to the bar before, and it was ok, which is why we wanted to try the restaurant. We booked a table in the restaurant for 8pm and were the only guests after guests from another table left a few minutes later. Due to an allergy, we asked for a replacement for onions and leek which was served as a side. This was denied. Still had to pay the full prize for the much reduced amount of food that was on the plate. The menu was not clear regarding prizes for each dish, and although this was loosely explained by service the final bill came as a total surprise. After just an hour we also no longer had the feeling that we were welcome. Seemed like they were really looking forward to closing the restaurant for the evening when we were finally gone. I would not recommend the restaurant.

Dear customer, We would always recommend any allergies to be disclosed at the time of booking so we have prior notice to your arrival especially with an ingredients such as onions which is used in a wide range of dishes, You informed us of the allergy on arrival at 8pm on a Sunday evening, it doesn't give us much time to rectify the allergy. You also ordered a dish Highland venison, pumpkin puree, confit haunch fritter, baby leeks, red onion which clearly states the allergens in your dish. Our menu is clearly stated that two course are £35 for dinner It is disappointing to read you don't recommend returning considering your first visit was good, Kind Regards General Manager

Many items were missing from he menu. The portion sizes were small therefore not value for money . Many of the meals were not hot and the steaks were presented wrongly ie. medium. rare etc Poor show We have been twice now - unfortunately same experience ( won't be back)

We go to Taypark at least twice a month. We've never been disappointed with neither the food or the service. I have tried a few items from the menu of which everyone of them were fab. I now always g for my favourite caesar salad. One of the few places that actually serve fresh anchovies. Top class restaurant 👏

Had a great meal, food and service outstanding. Only minus we came across was that the ramp access into the door itself was quite steep and we struggled to get a wheelchair in. Staff were very helpful and assisted us with it.

It all started well. We arrived 10 minutes early but that was no problem and a friendly waiter took us to our table. We ordered the Sunday roast and were asked how we would like our beef cooked. As the meal went on things started to unravel. A young waitress served us the appetiser and apologise that it took sometime. We said don't worry and thank you. We were then served our main course, but we were left puzzled as we thought that part of it was missing but didn't query it as we weren't sure. Later the maitre'd asked us if we needed anything else to drink. After this point there was no interaction. Once we had finished our mains we waited for at least 20 minutes to see if someone would clear our plates and offer us dessert. During this time we noticed that we were right about the main, as we saw other guests being served the missing side. We realised that no one was coming to serve us so decided not to have dessert. We then wondered if we would be asked if we would like the bill. I thought that I made eye contact with the maitre'd or at least he saw that we had been sitting for ages without any service so thought he would head over or send another waiter. This did not happen, so we decided to get up and go and ask for the bill. At this point I mentioned the missing food and the maitre'd just said "sorry about that its been a busy night". I did not query this, but did think it was a bit of an odd statement. As the place wasn't packed, during the time we were waiting for service the younger waiters had time to set up new tables for future guests. Having waited tables myself in the past, this did not seem like the setting of a particularly busy night. I appreciate that things don't always go to plan, especially if staff are new. But at the same time eating out is expensive and a treat. When you go to somewhere like Taypark you hope enough effort will be made by the experienced staff to ensure that you feel catered for throughout the meal.

The worst food we have ever eaten out. Chicken was beyond dry, yorkshire pudding rock solid. Sticky toffee pudding, had better out of a packet. Waiting an hour and 10 mins before we were served our main, would not recommend.
