We were so excited to be in NYC after such a long time and enjoy dinner at The Loyal. Dinner was beyond fabulous and we were already anticipating our next visit when we saw the restaurant is closing tomorrow, 10/3/21. We are so very sad to see such a wonderful place disappear. Our best to everyone there.

I have been to 2 of John frasers restaurants and they have both been outstanding great food and great service. Last night Monika Moss helped us with our wines and she was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make the evening special. We will be visiting the rest of your restaurants. Keep up the great work

My husband and I had dinner here before heading to the Comedy Cellar. We got there early for our reservation but they were happy to accommodate us. Took a table outside on a lovely early autumn evening. Food was terrific and our server was delightful. Highly recommend and hope to revisit soon.

All the food was excellent. They saw on our profile that it was our anniversary week so they brought us Prosecco. The burrata and the duck tots were a nice starter. We both ordered the filet mignon AI poivre, which was amazing. For dessert we had the Sundae Set: a platter with 3 scoops of ice cream, all the sundae toppings in little ramekins, and several different candies, like Dum-Dum pops, gummy bears, M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces, Boston Baked Beans, and more. We sat outside by the sidewalk and several people walking by asked us what it was- it was that impressive looking! And our server, Tea, was wonderful!

Overall, The Loyal is very good considering the taste of the food and the relative cost. Among the appetizers and small plates, Bay Scallop ceviche, Today’s Tartar and Octopus were very good. The Parker rolls with butter was very good but it costs $10 extra. The Miso-honey chicken entree was very tasty but the Streamed market vegetables that came with it as a side was sort of bland - something like Pomme purée would have worked better. The dessert options could be better. Wine list is decent. Service is good. The inner dining room with white table cloth is reasonably elegant. The general noise level is moderate and it increases at prime dining hours.

The food is excellent, and the staff were the perfect balance of attentive and knowledgeable, and also let you enjoy your food and talk. We never needed anything, and also didn't feel rushed.

The food was still as outstanding as the first time I had it 4 years ago. The burger and duck tots are divine! I can’t wait to go back again!
