Steak night was very good
A wonderful place great Sunday lunch. Superb service
Excellent menu, very nice staff and very helpful. We will recommend to others.
A fantastic restaurant great venue for all occasions, would definitely recommend it
Great service and the food and wine was lovely. This was my first meal at Teatro and I will be back.
Fantastic food, fabulous service ....... a must ..... will definitely be going again
Always such lovely food and drinks, service always good.
Always a favourite restaurant of ours but first time for a Sunday roast lunch, which was absolutely delicious, this could become a regular Sunday lunch spot.
The staff here are so wonderful. They have great knowledge of the menu including drinks list. Very friendly and tentative but not checking the table every 5 seconds which is good!
We all had different dishes, Burger, lamb, Duck, Chicken. Everything was delicious. Pudding was yummy, great cocktails too. Really happy with our dining experience. Whenever we have people visiting we will try and bring them to Teatro.
We had an excellent meal for my husband’s birthday. Our dinner was excellent, service was very good and we’d recommend highly.
Simply, super. Fantastic, friendly and efficient staff. Marvellous food, great wine. Perfect pre-theatre, but any time would be wonderful. The best dining experience we have had for some time. We will be back!
Great evening, service and food
The restaurant has great ambiance and the staff were very good . The food came quickly and the wine was delicious. My husband had the burger which he said was good but my sole en palliotte was over cooked and tasteless. For £18 it was a real disappointment. If I went again I would stick to the simple things like a burger or a steak which hopefully would be ok . Not sure I would recommend this restaurant as it’s not cheap enough to overlook a bad dish
Nice ambiance, had two tasty starters as pre theatre supper. Only fault was slow service, had to go to bar for drinks in the end and got to into the theatre by the skin of our teeth.
The food is well cooked and presented. However, the service was very slow and there was a lack of communications between the bar and the restaurant as we had to remind the waiter that we had asked the bar staff to add our bar drinks to our restaurant bill, which hadn't happened.
We go to many restaurants situated close to theatres and they all offer pre-theatre menus which enable people to have 2-3 courses within an hour. We only managed one course in 1 hour 10 minutes even though the waiter knew that we were going to the theatre. Teatro is ideally situated to be able to offer both a pre-theatre menu as well as an a la carte, and should seriously consider doing so.
Great food and service as always. Best restaurant in Cirencester by some distance
We booked for 19.30 and were the only customers at the time. Impressed with décor and layout, and made to feel very welcome.
Our starters were unusual but very good and beautifully presented.
My wife ordered Partridge and I ordered Fish in a parcel for mains. Both were presented
nicely, but unfortunately they served us the wrong vegetable side dish and the vegetables served with my fish were not cooked enough.
In Teatro's defence, we did complain and were not charged for either of those dishes.
Overall, I think we just hit them at the wrong moment and will certainly give them another try.
Super food, portion size just right. Good value as well. Car park opposite. Staff were super friendly and attentive. I will go again.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Food and cocktails all first class. This is a small restaurant but a little gem.
Yet another excellent Pre-theatre supper at Teatro. We all (four of us) chose different main courses and they were all beautifully prepared and presented using top quality ingredients - the best meal yet and this is our 7th visit! Love having this wonderful venue on our doorstep.
Very good service, food was good, enjoyed the fact we could just walk through the building to the theatre.
It was a bit cool in the restaurant.
Excellent service supported by excellent food. Quirky decor complemented the total experience. Will certainly go again. Oh and forgot to mention, the espresso martini was to die for.
Lovely pre-theatre meal. Staff very attentive and alert to our show start time.
Welcoming staff, friendly without being intrusive or over familiar. Great food, good quality meat cooked well. Artistically presented without being ‘poncy’. Good sized portions. Wine list is relatively limited but there is enough choice to find something to pair well with whatever you are eating. I think you will be hard pushed to find a better meal in the Cirencester area.
Overall there is very little not to like about Teatro - the only minor point from my perspective was that I found it a bit noisy, though I’m sure it was down to rather vocal diners sitting nearby - as the dining area consists of several almost self contained nooks or small rooms this should limit the overall noise level. A great place for a pre threatre supper if you are attending the adjacent Barn Theatre, which is in itself a fantastic venue.
Second week running. Just love this restaurant. A lovely menu with beautifully cooked food. I was really impressed how they had taken into account my dietary requirements before arrival with the waitress briefed letting me know what I could eat from the menu and how various courses could be adapted.
We did have a good evening, the staff were polite and friendly, we enjoyed our food and would like to return. With a little more finessing I think it could be an excellent restaurant.
Very good experience for our wedding anniversary. Great atmosphere and good local food. Very enjoyable.
Our first time at Teatro Restaurant and we had a delicous family meal. All of our starters and mains were cooked with great attention, the ambiance was welcoming and received a friendly service. We will definitely return.
Third visit to Teatro and it just gets better each time.
Food is divine. If you’re after something a bit fancy or different - this is the place to go! Although the burgers and steaks look amazing too.
Service fantastic, nothing is too much.
The gin list is amazing. Got to try the new cocktail menu too.
Live music after the meal too.
Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely place and great bar. Service good if a little hurried. A couple of requests for water got forgotten. Three plates of food were disappointing. Poached eggs on fish cakes were hard and cod sauce was very garlicky and swomped all flavour. I had heard lots of great reviews but didn’t experience the fabulous food I was expecting especially for the price. Gins and cheeses excellent. A nice place to be.
Such a gem of a restaurant with excellent options for veggies and vegans and meaties alike! Fab staff and ambience. Food was amazing and live music was great.
Will be recommending and will be back!
Great gin menu, delicious main course with super girolles and beautifully cooked duck.
Room was tad small and characterless.
Puddings and wine list were both disappointing and expensive.
Sad staff had considered popping to buy some milk when none was delivered. Not many people are happy with black tea/ coffee.
Why is this place not busier?! Excellent food, well priced and a great little bar to have a cocktail afterwards with live music (we went on a Friday). Highly recommended!
Top marks on all fronts, great food at a unique venue. Will definitely visit again when next in area.
Our second visit to Teatro and again a superb experience. Beautiful and tasty starters of Lobster Raviolo and Ham Hock terrine then lovely main courses of Chicken Supreme and Wagyu Burger.
Service was professional and friendly and a perfect start to an evening at the adjoining Barn Theatre. Free car parking opposite too. Will be back soon.
Best food i've had in a while. Delicious, fresh, clean food, and a yummie lemon meringue pie. Drink the rhubarb gin with ginger liqueur mmmmmmm
Pre theatre dinner which worked reasonably well. Food was excellent but service was slow which resulted in us being limited to one course or running the risk of running late for the show. Decided against the risk but it’s a shame as the mains were very tasty. Sharper service for pre theatre diners will bring in more people and bigger receipts.
Great pre-Theatre meal. Second time we’ve done this and can’t fault the service or food.
Great decor. Menu was varied but small - a sign of good fresh ingredients chosen due to seasonal availability. Nicely presented and delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was quiet, but it was a Wednesday night in Cirencester with no shows on at the theatre. Outside space looks great for daytime or evening on a nice day.
