Teatro Restaurant @ Ingleside House
We look forward to serving you soon!
Very nice meal would have got 5 stars, just a couple of very small things that could have made the food even better, great crispy skin on the duck but then put a small amount of gravy over it that made it go soft, put the gravy round the side of the plate, black pudding and potato terrine, love black pudding but it is fatty when cooked and the potato had soaked up all the fat, just present it differently. Highly recommend.
The room we were in was a little cold, the bread with my mushroom pate was to soft to support spreading the pate. The food was very tasty and presented very well. It was a nice to find out that our wine was free of charge, a January promotion that we were unaware of..
First visit as we were going to watch a production at The Barn. Service really friendly and efficient. Food beautifully presented and excellent quality- my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed 2 courses each. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back ourselves.
Went flavored theatre Sunday lunch - at best average though good value
Previous evening pre theatre have been very good
We had a great evening for my father's birthday celebrations - although there was a large group in the restaurant having a great if rather noisy time we were given seating in an alcove which made our meal for six intimate and also meant that were not drowned out by the party in the other room. The waitress was fantastic - very warm, friendly and personable. We were visiting between Christmas and New Year so some menu choices were unavailable but our waitress managed to embrace this situation, made us all laugh and we were extreme happy with the food we ate. Would definitely recommend - great decor, friendly staff and good food.
Had an amazing Sunday lunch with the family, the live piano/singer was an added bonus. Outstanding.
Thank y.ou for another very good meal before the production in the Barn Theatre
Love the decor. The food was superb, but the servers made the night so friendly and attentive. There was a pianist playing the night we were there which was lovely. Cocktails are great and they have a huge range of gin. Definitely recommend and will be going back.
Loved the food and the service was very good. The only thing that let it down was at 10.30pm we were told we couldn't have coffee because the coffee machine was out of order and the kitchen said they had cleaned the surfaces already so wouldn't make us any either.
Service was slow. Staff were polite. We had three courses. All were well presented. All were served at the correct temperature. Every course was bland, there was no flavour except for the sea bream which was tasty, but the accompanying risotto was excessively salty. The portion sizes were small. The price was excessive considering the lack of flavour in particular as well as the portion size. Very disappointing. The response to our feedback was I’m sorry we will let the chef know. No reduction in price or offer of an alternative. There were three tables in our part of the restaurant, none of the diners were happy with their meals. Won’t be going there again.
Understaffed with attitude, it was extremely busy. A large group was extremely loud because of the poor acoustics. Our food turned cold as we waited for our side to arrive. The meat was not prepared as ordered and attitude when you did have the audacity to ask about something.
Hit or miss, depending on the evening.
Quirky venue with lovely atmosphere but food didn't live up to expectations unfortunately. Was presented nicely but in reality the food was not particularly special. In fact a little bland on taste and flavour. Portions also on the small side for what I'd consider a quite expensive bill (circa £100 for 3 courses for two people plus bottle of wine). Great place for a drink with friends but won't be hurrying back for the food
Fab food and service, live music was great except pumped through speakers in to dining areas made it too loud and poor quality. Would be better not connected to speakers to fully enjoy as background music and still enjoy conversation with dining company.
So we tried the supper menu on a Tuesday evening and we were not disappointed at all. Nibbles, starter and a main were just up our street plus a good Sauvignon Blanc. When I saw the custard tart for dessert go by I nearly caved in.
Toilets were spotless and this is a massive plus as many fine dining areas I would not return to fail on this necessary requirement in my book.
We have been to the theatre and restaurant a fair few times since it opened. I would prefer more comfy chairs in the bar area as the stools are not good on the old back after a while but hey no doubt the youngsters are fine plus the taller stools don't work for my short stature! The service is always excellent as they smile and nothing is too much trouble. We will be going again of course. Plus a massive plus is the free and easy plenty of room parking opposite the restaurant and theatre.
I bet this is a great Christmas venue re the splendid huge marquee with its own kitchen!
I have eaten dinner here and have enjoyed the food and service a lot. They have recently started Sunday roasts and I can’t recommend enough. It was quiet and may just be because of pre Xmas. Please support Teatro Sunday lunch.
Lovely place, mains were of good standard, deserts were a disappointment, unless you like nuts, needed one staple option, chocolate mouse, cheesecake, sticky toffee or crumble and the cheese board was expensive for what it was, slithers of cheese for £10!
Surprised none of the staff asked if everything was okay with our meals.
Where we were sat, directly under a speaker, when the piano started, we had a job to hear each other, in the end, we asked for the speaker to be turned off!
Overall, I would come again but could have been better for £200!
Food excellant cooked to perfection how i ordered it.
Service was great well looked after very pleasant staff and service throughout.
Music from piano waa lovely but just found the singer abit over powering and loud.
Look forward to spending an evening again soon
Flamingo room depressing ,cold and bit close to other tables so we asked to move. Moved to middle room much nicer lighting and decor.Food was ok, though was small so really would have liked a dessert , but very limited choice basically icecream or icecream.... staff were very nice even though took a little while to get drinks to the table.Very pleasant girl serving the bar , Tuesday i believe, very friendly and welcoming.
Great food. Spoiled only by the lack of chilled wine when we ordered a second bottle. As we were going to the theatre we had to cancel and rush our pudding. However, the restaurant was extremely helpful and let us pay in the interval plus they knocked off the pudding due to us being rushed which was a nice gesture. We’ve eaten here on several occasions and the food and ambiance is always great so I would thoroughly recommend.
A friends birthday
Steak night was very good
A wonderful place great Sunday lunch. Superb service
Excellent menu, very nice staff and very helpful. We will recommend to others.
A fantastic restaurant great venue for all occasions, would definitely recommend it
Great service and the food and wine was lovely. This was my first meal at Teatro and I will be back.
Fantastic food, fabulous service ....... a must ..... will definitely be going again
Always such lovely food and drinks, service always good.
Always a favourite restaurant of ours but first time for a Sunday roast lunch, which was absolutely delicious, this could become a regular Sunday lunch spot.
The staff here are so wonderful. They have great knowledge of the menu including drinks list. Very friendly and tentative but not checking the table every 5 seconds which is good!
We all had different dishes, Burger, lamb, Duck, Chicken. Everything was delicious. Pudding was yummy, great cocktails too. Really happy with our dining experience. Whenever we have people visiting we will try and bring them to Teatro.
We had an excellent meal for my husband’s birthday. Our dinner was excellent, service was very good and we’d recommend highly.
Simply, super. Fantastic, friendly and efficient staff. Marvellous food, great wine. Perfect pre-theatre, but any time would be wonderful. The best dining experience we have had for some time. We will be back!
Great evening, service and food
The restaurant has great ambiance and the staff were very good . The food came quickly and the wine was delicious. My husband had the burger which he said was good but my sole en palliotte was over cooked and tasteless. For £18 it was a real disappointment. If I went again I would stick to the simple things like a burger or a steak which hopefully would be ok . Not sure I would recommend this restaurant as it’s not cheap enough to overlook a bad dish
Nice ambiance, had two tasty starters as pre theatre supper. Only fault was slow service, had to go to bar for drinks in the end and got to into the theatre by the skin of our teeth.
The food is well cooked and presented. However, the service was very slow and there was a lack of communications between the bar and the restaurant as we had to remind the waiter that we had asked the bar staff to add our bar drinks to our restaurant bill, which hadn't happened.
We go to many restaurants situated close to theatres and they all offer pre-theatre menus which enable people to have 2-3 courses within an hour. We only managed one course in 1 hour 10 minutes even though the waiter knew that we were going to the theatre. Teatro is ideally situated to be able to offer both a pre-theatre menu as well as an a la carte, and should seriously consider doing so.
Great food and service as always. Best restaurant in Cirencester by some distance
We booked for 19.30 and were the only customers at the time. Impressed with décor and layout, and made to feel very welcome.
Our starters were unusual but very good and beautifully presented.
My wife ordered Partridge and I ordered Fish in a parcel for mains. Both were presented
nicely, but unfortunately they served us the wrong vegetable side dish and the vegetables served with my fish were not cooked enough.
In Teatro's defence, we did complain and were not charged for either of those dishes.
Overall, I think we just hit them at the wrong moment and will certainly give them another try.
Super food, portion size just right. Good value as well. Car park opposite. Staff were super friendly and attentive. I will go again.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Food and cocktails all first class. This is a small restaurant but a little gem.
