We look forward to serving you soon!
Gorgeous meal! Really lovely food and able to adapt the menu for dairy free
Great service as always.
Cheese soufflé and salmon were delicious. My partners soup was delicious. steak a little grisly , chips too salty.
Extremely disappointing sadly. What a great place to be situated enabling ore theatre food but let down on all fronts for our first visit. The bar smelled of boiled cabbage as you entered- maybe damp from being low down? Burgers were dry , rolls burnt and waiter did not check if our food was okay even at the end of our meal. He could clearly see the burnt rolls had been left and even that did not prompt him. Salmon was good but at a cost of 17.75 for a small piece with tbT amount of potato inside and four sprigs of asparagus it was vastly over priced. At the end we felt we had to say something and a tiny 10% was taken off the bill.
We felt it was not value for money, service left a lot to be desired and we won’t be returning - very sad as we are local.
Yet another wonderful evening spent at Teatro with friends celebrating their anniversary. The new menu was delicious and everything we ordered was presented beautifully and the service was excellent! Finished off with a cocktail in the bar seduced by the wonderful piano playing and singer.
Very friendly atmosphere
One starter course was not as we expected and it was taken off the bill. Couldn't ask for fairer service
Another lovely visit to this super restaurant. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Thank you.
Excellant restaurant, we were there for a pre show dinner. Perfect. Only little complaint we were left with our plates not being cleared for a while and then ran out of time as we were going to the theatre next door, to order coffee or dessert even if we had wanted one! Other than that great and our waiter was actually lovely. Think they were short staffed!
We were looked after by a lovely waitress. Unfortunately 2 of the 5 steaks weren't quite right. Mine was delicious but one of the rib eyes was chewy and one of the fillets was overcooked. When they brought it back, they brought the wrong sauce (which we didn't mention then - just too much!) and unfortunately, as medium rare, it was still cooked more or less right through. This was probably partly due to being uneven in thickness. When they brought the bill, they had taken the steak off which we appreciated and they thanked us for letting them know the second one still hadn't been right. Our starters were good, especially the octopus and the duck salad. The Raviolo with consomme didn't have much in the way of consomme so was a little dry. It tasted good though. We had a delicious and well priced bottle of wine.
We had a lovely pre-theatre meal at Teatro last Saturday. The food was excellent and we liked that the portion sizes were sensible. There was background music at a level where it filled the silence but didn't intrude on conversation. We particularly liked that the tables are not rammed in, there is space between them so that you feel you are eating with your chosen companions, not the rest of the clientele. The staff were attentive and thoughful, checking whether we were attending the theatre and advising us when the time to go was close. They kindly supplied our son-in-law with coffee in a cup he could take into the theatre, having discovered that the bar didn't have hot drinks available. It's not the cheapest, so we might not eat there every time we go to a performance, but the quality of the food was worth the cost.
Nice meal before the show, only had time for 2 courses as the waiters were busy and not fully engaged in getting pre show diners served promptly - we sat down at 5.45 for 7.30 show.
I find this a really difficult place to comment upon.
Food can be really good - or very disappointing. Service is always friendly, but when it's busy it can be painfully slow.
We've visited a couple of times in the past month. The first time we only wanted mains, dessert and cheese. We had to request drinks and for our food order to be taken. It was then almost an hour before we saw anything to eat and sadly it was returned because the fish was overcooked.
Last meal was much slicker and much better, but the cauliflower steak was..... well nothing exciting and mainly salad leaves. Dessert - pear was rock hard. Starters however were great and my partner's main very good.
We love the live music on a Friday and Saturday night and that's a major draw for us. I just wish they'd get the food sorted out.
We enjoyed a lovely meal . The staff were very attentive and approachable. Great ambience as there was live music in the bar area.
Steak was very over cooked on one side and very fatty and the cod was part cold and the vegetables the beer was over price 5 pound for a san miguel
A super place to eat, very friendly staff with an atmospheric location. Ideal if seeing a show at the Barn Theatre next door
Gorgeous food, service went above and beyond to celebrate my friends birthday, and the piano player was brilliant
We really enjoyed our evening at Teatro with friends last Saturday. The wine was very good, food was very tasty and of a very good standard. The staff were friendly and efficient...
We will return
Vegan options are not as advertised. Service is slow. Music way too loud so have to shout during dinner. Food made me very unwell.
Stunning decor, entrance, ambiance.
Food was exquisite and happily amended the meal to my dairy free needs.
Trifle was to die for!
A very enjoyable experience, the food was very flavorful, I started with Duck salad, beautiful flavours, hubby had veal also good, I had the lamb chops they were amazing, hubby had cod which he loved.
Desserts were delicious hubby had the pavlova and I had the lemon meringue pie. We are definitely going back
Excellent meal & Service, quickly prepared so we could go the show.
We had a lovely evening, the food was very good and the atmosphere pleasing.
Good food, friendly service but the piano player was excellent. A lovely evening all round.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere with wonderful food and amazing musicians
Once again, amazing food. Could not fault it. Lovely staff, will be heading back again soon.
Superb, in all ways, the piano playing and singing too loud.
Beautiful layout, food was amazing! Staff very polite overall fantastic evening
Great food, lovely staff and the live music was a nice touch.
Lovely food the burger was fantastic and the service was great
great welcome great food great service great drinks great wine great prices
Great restaurant, food was unbelievably good :D
Had an amazing time.
A lovely evening was had!
The service for drinks at the start was a little slow as we’d chose to be seated straight away, so the drinks order was taken with starters which meant we didn’t have as much time to enjoy our drinks first & settle into the evening.
The quality of food was very good!
It was very loud (table nearest kitchen). Also, we felt the vegetable portions were too small compared to expectations - literally about 3 spinach leaves under a fish fillet.
Delicious food in beautiful surroundings - the best place to eat in Cirencester by far!
Great atmosphere as it is connected to the theatre next door. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The pork Sunday roast didn’t disappoint either Great to hear a piano playing in the background. We’ll be back!
Our first visit for Sunday lunch and didn’t leave disappointed. A very pleasant atmosphere with live music and excellent food, looking forward to visiting for an evening meal.
Amazing service, really friendly and polite. Food was amazing and the decor is really nice. I had no complaints and will 100% be returning, I love this place.
Splened eveing with my wife on our first valentines, great food , friendly staff
A must in my book

Really lovely food and service, just not enough vegetables with the roast
We enjoyed our meal with friends, staff were attentive and the food was fabulous.
Loved the food, drink, decor, ambience and the excellent service. Perfect place for special occasions and excellent experience.
