The restaurant really looked after us. The waiting staff were amazing. Music was fabulous. We had a huge feast, we were given a really informative tour of the kitchen and complimentary dishes and the food was incredible. We loved it at temper thank you for having us we will be back.
Avoid! I wouldn't go back here if the food was free. Worst food ever and total rip off.
I found the meal to very expensive for what it was - almost £100 for 3 x main courses and 2 x sides - left feeling hungrier than when I went in.
I’m not normally got a sweet tooth, but the Bananaramadrama was out of this world...! And great house g&t, only £4.50 before 7pm
Not only is the food out of this world but the chefs take the experience to a whole new level. Chef Ali kept us entertained all evening and allowed us to ask as many questions as we wanted. The Chef for the evening (I believe he is usually second in command) was fantastic! Would definitely recommend to everyone I know and make sure they sit at the bar to get the best possible experience.
Would recommend the squid for starter and the chicken and beef rib for main. Outstanding. The surprise of deep fried mars bar at the end of our dinner topped it all off! We left very full and very happy.
Worst service I’ve had in years!
Walked past on many occasions and decided to give it a go but was a little underwhelmed. The starter was nice (squid pakora) but thought the Thali was average and expensive for what it was.
Food was exceptional. Up there in my top meals ever and beats a number of Michelin starred restaurants. We attended on a Tuesday evening in late July so it wasn't very busy, hence my 4/5 for ambience. The music is amazing and really added a lot to the experience. I scored 4/5 for service as they were a little slower than I like on a couple of occasions, particularly with drinks, surprising when it wasn't very busy. I would still score 10/10 over all and will 100% be back to try the rest of the menu.
Think this place is great to go if you are a group of people so you get to try many dishes. Being only 2, the plates were very big so it was enough but we would have prefered to have lots of smaller plates to sample a bit of everything. Great cocktails and wine list!
Great food, lovely venue and not crazy expensive. Will definitely be back.
Great place for a different business lunch, tasty food, good service, reasonable price, excellent location
Great food! This food and flavors are unique and delicious! I highly recommend!
Great food, Amazing Staff.
Really great lunch, the £15 express is amazing value.
Got to sit at the counter, the chefs (particularly the sous chef on duty that evening) were amazing, spoke to us about the various foods they use and gave us a great insight into the ethos of the restaurant.
Total meal cost £125 for two courses with beer and wine (plus some crazy irn-bru based shot at the end of the night) but could have easily spent £20 a head for good food and a couple of beers.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more casual venue with excellent food in the heart of the city!
The food is fantastic, the service is friendly, the restaurant is massive so you never feel like you're on top of the people next you. They did great at making sure people could eat while also watching the World Cup. One of my favourites.
Over all a nice place. But with the competition so high in that style of cooking I feel that there are better places to go. Sorry because I have been wanting to visit for a very long time. I just didn’t leave feeling truly satisfied with the flavours. I’m bench marking against Smokestak & Smoking Goat. For mean and spice for me they are the benchmark.
Great space, fun desserts, meat options were great
Great food for sharing!
Always brilliant. Amongst the best Indian food in the City.
Very relaxed, great food and attentive service.
Thanks for a great night
We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Very spacious, good service, lovely food and really nice wine!! I will definitely be going back.
Interesting food, slightly spoiled by less interested service, and a booth in the corner at around 40degrees...
The service was brilliant, banging 90ties tunes, and a great looking restaurant. Although the menu looked good the chicken, lamb, and fish curry were too similar, no distinction, and flat. Thalis were good and for an Indian restaurant I found it strange that they served no rice only roti.
We visited Temper earlier on today (Saturday afternoon) and had a great time!
Our waitress was incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. She was full of great recommendations!
We went for the Saturday bottomless lunch menu, which was free flowing with prosecco and offered a chance to taste lots of various dishes. All of them were delicious!
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exciting Saturday lunch.
We will definitely be returning soon :)
Great food, music, experience and see ice. One of my favourite places in london
Great brunch, excellent service. Shame there weren't many groups, which would have added to the atmosphere.
We were let down by the service at this restaurant. We asked several times inorder to order our drinks and then our starters arrived before any drinks. Our mains took over 50 mins and were not particularly hot when they arrived. We ordered two portions of fries and only one portion arrived. Overall the quality of the food was quite good, with the exception of my friend that ordered the vegetarian dish that was meant to be a mushroom dish, however it was 90% onions and only had 4 slices of mushroooms. Won't be back again.
Decent but no exciting. Food was good tasting but menu was a bit one way - meat in sauce.
Service was okay but not too attentive.
Was interesting sitting at the bar watching the chefs prepare food... a bit expensive but interesting take on traditional Indian thalis... g&t menu extensive with some hits and misses.
Nice burrata starter but disappointed with mains, very expensive for what it was.
Had a really enjoyable leaving meal for a team member. The food was really great with lots of choice (including quite unusual but excellent dishes such as haggis) - the team really enjoyed it. The service was great.
Great food. I much preferred this menu to the soho one. Very friendly kitchen staff but the service on our side of the bar was all over the place. Had to keep chasing things up. Great cocktails once they arrived. If there’s just 2 of you get a seat at the bar
Temper is incredibly cool - love the slick decor and the menu is brilliantly imaginative - especially the desserts!
Eaten at Temper city several times. The food this time wasn’t up to usual standard. The thali ate was relatively ‘bare’, the steak overly salty and the goat swimming in oil. Service was great as always.
I am a big fan of Temper Soho but was less keen on the food concept at this version. The waiter recommended the naked thali and to get 3 dishes and a side. I thought £5 for the thali was steep and there were a lot of random elements that didn’t add much. 3 dishes was too many and we ended up leaving half a dish. We had assumed portions would be more like the Soho version. Overall I was a bit disappointed.
service was superb as soon as we entered we were greeted with a beaming smile by a lady who asked if we wanted to sit outside but we opted for inside and had an amazing waitress Itinoo? I told the manageress she was outstanding for her help with the menu and not intrusive but always available and informative
Another great visit to Temper in the City. Highly recommended as an alternative to the bars in the area if you're looking for dinner before heading off somewhere. Service is quick and friendly, the food is delicious (I keep ordering the octopus), and the drinks menu is more interesting than the usual offerings.
We're going to try Temper Soho next time we're over that way.
Absolutely loved it! Great food, fantastic atmosphere
Sat at the talking to the chefs who were giving us bits to try which was awesome
Will definitely be back
Took my husband for his birthday, as he's seen the reviews and was really keen to go. Not disappointment, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The meal was very enjoyable we both went for the beef, different options both were very good. Although disappointed with the crab starter. Altogether great evening, would definitely recommend and would go again, maybe get a seat at the counter.
