There are large booths, banqueting tables, bar seats to watch the kitchen at work, a huge private-hire mezzanine and an outdoor area where you can catch the best of the British summer or wintertime.
We take reservations throughout the day and we always try to save spots for

Great food, cocktails and Great waiter (Emmanuel from Temper soho)
They really know how to cook a steak. Beautiful food, great atmosphere and I loved sitting at the bar and watching the chefs create their magic. It’s not cheap but worth it for a special occasion.
Amazing service from the get go and the food is outstanding.
We sat at the bar facing the open pit fire watching the meat cook. They are a well organised brigade and very engaging which is like being sat at the chefs table without the expense or snobbery!
Everything was on point. The team are a credit to Neil.
Thanks for a great experience
Restaurant looks lovely and food was great. Service was soaking. Started ok and then went very down hill, we had to flag Teo People for cutlery they plonk stuff on your table and then walk off before we can say we got a butter knife for steak. No offer of extra drinks or dessert menu waited 25 min after lates were taken away and got fed up and had to hunt a misrable looking woman for bill . The only thing the dealt with fast and efficiently surprise surprise. I love the concept and food of temper but wil never go to this restaurant again and I Came here to test out for client lunch and will def not take a client here. We went to the Bed for dessert and had amazing service there for dessert.
Service was great. All staff was very friendly and helpful. But We found our main course...t-bone and rump steak very very salty. And unfortunately we sent our desserts back. It was a fun night but I wouldn’t hurry back.
Food was great but service poor. Drinks took an age to arrive. We were charged for an extra bottle of wine and when we noticed they didn’t exactly offer an apology. A shame. Won’t be going back
Food excellent as always - service v slow - wine order arrived after 20 min!
Booking was not in the system even though I was rang earlier that day to confirm. Rather than getting a table we were placed at the bar. The service was chaotic but the food was good.
Great steak and under £30 for 500g. Side dishes nice and service was excellent. Ambience also really nice and quite fun.
Service was non existent after a very personable "I will be looking after your every need intro". But the manager totally came to the rescue. Food was superb, he was superb and the evening was rescued.
The meat was amazing. Service was mostly entertaining. The place has a really nice vibe. Highly recommend for beef lovers!
Have changed from serving Indian sharing plates to ‘Argentinian-Spanish-American’ (as described by our waitress) but with the same name. Meat was very expensive and while the waitress who explained the menu suggested how many dishes we ordered for a party of 4, the waiter who took our order said it wasn’t enough and told us we needed 2 more plates (£60+ more...) -we ordered only one additional and ended up with too much food - he tried to oversell everything- mains, wine desert- I don’t think I’ve ever felt as pressured to order more food, it was quite uncomfortable.
Brought food before wine and waiter nowhere to be found.
They have changed the thali and Indian tandoor menu to the same as the soho branch. Very very disappointed. Not coming here again!
Vibrant restaurant in the heart of City. Tasty and well cooked grass fed meat. Friendly service .
the environment was very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Excellent food, reasonably priced and the service was great. Highly recommend.
Amazing service and just wonderful food and drinks, I have nothing but love for this place, I will be going again next time I am in London
After going to Temper Covent Garden (which was excellent!) - I was really looking forward to this experience. The restaurant kept extending their 50% off food offer and I decided to go. (Even though it’s a little worrying just how many times they had to extend that offer- first warning sign I guess I missed).
The service is all over the place. One second you have every members of their team asking if I am ok. The next I’m waiting for 20 min to get someone to come over to take the drink order or clear my plates.
The food: I was really impressed with the food at Temper Covent Garden. In fact one of my best meals this year. But Temper City is not the same restaurant!
The tostadas: with mackerel were tasteless. Mackerel needed seasoning, guacamole further made the whole thing bland as there was so so much of it and the tostadas itself tasted a little stale.
The Poke: again so much guacamole, I found it difficult finding my tuna. Again same subpar tostadas on the side.
The grilled lamp: one big piece, two pieces that looked like they were offcuts that weee about to be chucked - but were fed to me instead. The fat had a thick skin to it that was unchewable. The meat itself cold. Salad on the side: I’m pretty sure my friends bbq’s do a better job at seasoning - tasteless. I did not finish this dish.
Mutton poutin: soggy chips, unseasoned jelly like meat. You think I’m making this stuff up or being cruel? Well consider this, when you are paying £15 for a main course normally and £5/6 for a side. You’d think the side would have the cheese properly melted over the chips and not have bits of sliced cheddar cheese all over the plate. This is not a chain pub or even a market stall (I’m being unfair to those!) - this is a quiet expensive restaurant in the City. Melt your damn cheese properly.
The cocktail: gin, blackberry and pepper cocktail that sounds like it should be full of flavour - it is not! Watery.
Did they loose their tongue receptors?
Amazing new menu which has a great range of steaks cooked to perfection.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Quality and value
I can't really judge the value as we had 50% off soft relaunch but the meat is outstanding so I reckon I'd pay anything for it! The staff are great too.
Ambience: music was too loud, lights were too dimmed. Felt like I was in a hectic club and my eyes hurt from squinting at the menu.
Food: not the best rib eye, a bit too tough and chewy. Prawn crumble was disappointing and not good value for money. If we didn’t have the 50% off food for soft launch I would have been very disappointed.
Service: very friendly waiters, apologised profusely and proactively about the food taking more than thirty mins to arrive.
Great meat, great service. Not so keen on the booths but there doesn’t seem to be a way of selecting a table. Not too good at returning calls but the food and service are excellent
Wanted to try Temper forever, and when the 50% offer came up i came and really experienced the menu. Everything was on point. my favourite being the smoked goat tacos. My only issue was that it was a little hard to get the waiters attention, but when you did they were great.
Lively, fun and friendly staff. Great food with decent portions and good value
The 50% off deal meant the food, which was 5*, was an absolute steal. The £5 cocktails were the icing!
The food and ambience were good, but way too pricey for what it was, I expected much much more for a £40 steak!
Sitting at the bar added to the experience and it was amazing to see how much charcoal they get through to cook steaks on. Steak was great and charred cabbage was divine. Perfect chips and sauces were v good too. Service was a bit stretched and clunky but nice when it was available!
Food was very poor compared to Soho restaurant. Service was unfortunately frantic and disjointed. A bit disappointed.
Good location, ambience and great service. Would go back again for team meals on company budget!
Temper City is BRILLIANT. Great vibes, wonderful staff, amazing food. Totally worth the pre-dessert meat sweats. The house wine is also, notably, delicious.
Only downside was watching the guy next to us dip his perfectly cooked ribeye into a pot of ketchup, but you can’t win them all.
In the words of The Terminator, I’ll be back.
Excellent food - went back a week later it was so good!
Great food, fantastic value @ 50% off. Service wasn't great - our drinks didn't arrive until after the starters...
I love the Temper chain and was not disappointed with the City restaurant. I have been to the Soho restaurant a few times and felt the menu for City was actually more appealing! The occasion for my visit was my friends birthday, the team came out with a birthday dessert which was really sweet. The only downside to my visit was the waiting time to be able to order food. It did feel the team were under staffed. Also love the bar actually but on a Summer-ish day it was far too warm to sit near the grill and we had to move. Love this place and will definitely be back :)
We really enjoyed our meal and the new menu at Temper. My only reservation was the amount of salt in some of the dishes. I love a bit of salt and do a lot of bbq cooking myself, but I found the amounts used at Temper on the night, a bit too much.
The gem lettuce & corn, fries and bbq pork rib especially were over salted. The pork rib itself was beautiful, juicy and tasty, just that sauce was the first thing that hit the taste buds. We also had the goat tacos, which were lovely, although not particularly smoky and the taco itself was pretty limp. The beef short ribs were a disappointment if I'm honest, just cubes of beef which really didn't taste of that much. Although the bread which comes with it was bloody awesome! I was expecting an actually rib on the plate which would have been much better.
We'd still definitely go back, overall the food is great, just go easy on the salt guys!
A lovely lunch - always interesting food, beautifully cooked. Nice service - a bit noisy
Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. Must try the smoke goat tacos and burrata
Petty good quaility of food. A bit pricey but delicious. Service was good and ambient was good although music was a bit high and tables were a bit close to each other.
Rump steak and BBQ pork rib were very, very good!
