Even in the rain of mandatory outdoor eating the food and service was amazing- definitely will be back!
Love the food here
The cookie dessert is the best
Good experience. Will surely go again.
Steak was nice.
Ordered the porterhouse - not sure why the outside was not crisp and the steak was slightly cool - very tender though so kudos to that. Parts of the fat in the tenderloin felt like they weren't exposed to any heat at all so that wasn't very pleasant. There was some tendons in the strip so that wasn't a very nice experience.
Great aged beef nacho chips though but I couldn't taste the "age"
Service was great, food was tasty. The outdoor seating was set up nicely as well with heat lamps and large tents, so weather changes were not a concern
Booked for 8.45, but we’re not seated until 8.55- we were then told we had 5 mins to order as the kitchen was closing. They also asked us to pre-order dessert. It was not made clear when we booked that the kitchen would close so soon after we arrived. My tip would be don’t book the later dinner sitting fo avoid being rushed through your meal.
We ordered a bottle of wine at around 9.45- we were then told we needed to leave by 10pm. We could not finish the wine which was a huge waste.
The food was tasty, and the staff friendly- but overall as a dining experience, it was poor.
The service was good, food however was a little bland and generally underwhelming. Cocktails were nice
Nice and friendly staff. A great place for drinks and food to share.
Staff and restaurant has adapted well to the current situation. The food is only ok. Everything lacked something and unfortunately we won't be rushing back.
We booked to have drinks for a hen do! Drinks were lovely, very nice outdoor space even though it rained it was covered. Only thing is they did rush us to leave a bit
I’ve been to Temper City before so I knew the food was going to be good. The Covent Garden restaurant has a great outdoor terrace set up with heaters. A varied menu, with a lot of choice & everything was delicious loved the pork rib & paratha and the prawn tacos. Service by all staff was fantastic but special mention to Francesco for his attentiveness and great recommendations for food & drinks. It is on the pricey side but is worth it. Would definitely return
Very small portions & cheeseburger was raw inside & & basically 2 small meatballs
Disappointing food- ordered some small plates and nibbles- indistinguishable flavours despite the promise on the menus. Aged beef nachos had minced beef- why would you mince aged beef? And despite being over seasoned, did not taste particularly flavoursome. Pork and the lamb small plates looked and tasted more or less the same. Everything came sprinkled with chopped red onions, red and green chilli peppers. I suspect quality has been lost as it has expanded as a chain.
Food arrived late, and after ordering a substantial amount, we only had 90 mins in total from sitting down to leave. 25 minutes to eat and leave.
A fantastic venue for delicious bbq food. It is definitely one for the meat lovers but their fish and vegetable dishes are equally delightful. Friendly and attentive service coupled with a relaxed and convivial atmosphere make this a venue I am sure to revisit.
Try the beef nachos as a starter and split a porterhouse with grilled cabbage and truffle chips on the side. You will not be disappointed.
This is a great choice for outdoor dining. Despite rain we were under an awning and with a very effective outdoor heater.
The food was delicious too. The only issue I did have was that when we were asked if we wanted another drink after we’d finished eating, it was delivered at the same time as the bill with a five minute warning that we needed to vacate our seats for the next diners. I don’t think a new glass of champagne should be offered, if you’re expected to ‘down it’ in five minutes!! It seemed like they wanted to maximise our spend, despite little time left to enjoy the drink and our booking.
It’s a must try and great place to visitor friendly staff very accommodating and helpful.
Food is great you have to try and I’m sure you will enjoy and want to go back.
Really good experience! Food was delicious, fresh and came out quickly. Cocktails were delicious and waiters were attentive. Would definitely return :)
Great food.......definitely have the tacos! Service was great and althogh not the cheapest for a quick bite, you get what you pay for and 100% worth the money. Would definitely head there again. We were outside due to covid but plenty of heaters and still great!
The food was simply amazing!! The meat was so tender I checked twice to see if it was actually meat. And so delicious! All the tacos were incredible and every option was made gluten free 🤗
It had to be outdoors hence slightly lower rating there, but they ran out of the smaller and cheaper rump steaks we wanted at 1830. The ribeyes were fatty and not a great cut. It is pricey for what it was but that said I would go again after 17th May when it is fully open again as pre lockdown this was a great place
The food and service was amazing! I dream about the brisket paratha ❤
Very tasty food. Worked out very expensive I thought. Limited menu too. Lovely food nonetheless
Delicious food and excellent service.
Great outdoor dining experience. Delicious food. Fantastic service. Will definitely be back :)
Unusual, delicious barbecue. The goats cheese tacos were the surprise winner of the meal.
Service was great, fast and polite. The food was great but have to say that it probably isn’t the best for value. Our meal came up to £100 for a starter, main, side and dessert to share + a drink each. Which you would normally pay for full course without having to share! We didn’t leave full. Can’t knock the atmosphere and the outdoor heaters.
Good food and vibes. Cramped tables, friendly staff
I was disappointed because I booked for bottomless brunch based on the write up about temper filling up drinks quickly as well as the fact they had cocktails... it was also supposed to be £39 per person. The cocktails were absolutely tiny and a couple of times arrived half full with loads of ice, if I could I’d attach a picture of how small I mean, practically a large shot glass worth of drink (mostly ice). They took a long time to come. I booked the brunch for 3:45 and it was supposed to end at 17:15 but they told us our time was up at 17:00. The wings were cold as well which was disappointing, overall it was a nice restaurant however I was charged £96 rather than £80 which it should have been and it was terrible value for money given the size of the drinks. I could see they did normal size cocktails but obviously for outside of the bottomless brunch.
Lovely place, delicious food and good service. Heaters were on too, which was lovely to keep the damp air at bay.
The food was excellent but we booked a table at 845pm and was immediately rushed to order by a pushy waiter. Throughout the meal we were always rushed and couldn’t finish our bottle of wine. If you have to close at 10pm, I would advice not allowing people to book a table at 845pm as the dining experience was affected by the rushed nature.
Inventive and interesting; and delicious. Good service too
The food was good, nice ambience as well, although we were continuously reminded of the time we have left.
Enjoyable meal despite being outside being rained on
Amazing service from the team here at Temper CG. Divine food as always and such a fun atmosphere
Great to be able to dine even though outside. The food was good. Would go again
Great food and lovely service! Definitely recommend the nachos and prawn tacos
Great to be out and about again but my gosh this place is overpriced. £13 for two prawn tacos? Even the ‘cheap’ £9 Cheeseburger one is basically just about 1/2 of a regular sized burger spread across two tacos. The pork tacos were best IMHO. Yes, they were tasty, but I felt 1) robbed and 2) still hungry. Looking forward to more restaurants being open!
Outdoor seating arrangement was great
The service was top notch, a massive thanks to Benedict! He is absolutely amazing and really looked after us, he even managed to move us to a table next to a heater as it was quite chilly. The food was good especially the lamb kimchi and the pork bites. Thank you Benedict I will definitely be back because of you!!
