We only use the best produce available and source our meat from local farms and butcher it all ourselves in house.
We serve this alongside cornish fish and seafood on corn tortillas and flat breads we made in house.
Each week we have ‘Sunday sharing specials’ for the table.
We have 180 seats which you can book but we always reserve room for walk-ins.
We went here on Sunday for a family meal. To be honest we were a bit caught out that it was the Sunday lunch menu as our booking was at 5.30. The menu was based on different roasts being shared family style. We went with the sirloin and the goat, the veggies and Yorkshire pudding. The meat was very tasty and the portion size worked out well. The service was polite if not particularly engaging and it would have been good to have some explanation as to how the family sharing worked. Desserts were excellent!
The layout and design of the restaurant is really nice.
All in all we had a nice time and that's what family meals are all about!
The Sunday lunch menu has changed to be more of a sharing style, with meats ordered mainly by 100g weight. The meal was not as good as the Sunday lunch menu was before they made this change, which is disappointing. We also had the Cauliflower Mole which was quite raw and bitter and not to our taste (though this is likely to just be down to our preference). Disappointing this time around as Sunday lunches at Temper used to be worth shouting about and now I wouldn't be so confident.
The starters and desserts were great but the main course was a bit disappointing in both portion size and quality. Overall still a good experience but it was good, not great.
fantastic fun place good food and service, had the Sunday dinner with the family. The food size was ok but need more veg and Yorkshires for a Sunday.
Great food; loved the counter top experience watching the kitchen. Service could’ve been better but atmosphere was very fun and lovely.
Great vibe in the restaurant especially seeing the huge fire pit.
Was hoping to see large cuts of meat at the table (as per the your tube blog) but the portions were smaller than expected vs. the cost of the bill.
Would go again as the quality was top notch!
The food was lovely but the service ruined what would have otherwise been a great evening. We waited for close to an hour for our food and the drinks were slow too.
Management recognised that our food was slow but did nothing to speed up the process apart from reassuring us “the food is coming”.
Absolutely loved it! Deffo coming back for more asap!
A great option if you love meat! The beef kebabs and beef nachos were delicious, Thai larb was good too but a little too meat heavy. We got a free main and drink as part of the SpottedatTemper promo which was fab value but otherwise it is on the more exy side. Dessert delicious, cocktails were average though. Overall still a good experience and would be great for a date!
I’ve paid a lot more money for excellent food but frankly our meal was a rip off!
The “cheeseburger “ starter at £9 is 1.5 mouthfuls of indifferent taste which I suggest is rebranded as something exotic to justify the price because it certainly is not recognisable as a cheeseburger
I guess it may be viewed a a mistake to choose fish in a meat lovers establishment but if it’s on the menu & you specifically agree that it can be filleted, then you don’t expect a cupful of bones on your plate!
That wine was ok and by comparison to the food, reasonably priced. Our waiter did his best & acknowledged that the fish was not good by offering us two free sweets.
Food was excellent, some of the best meat I've ever had. Specifically the aged meat, and goat, and cookie dessert. Standout dishes. The steak was better than at most of the famous steakhouses out there.
Service was great, friendly and knew exactly the right things to recommend.
Literally the only slight I'd give this place is the music volume. A bit too loud for me, made it a bit difficult to converse.
But otherwise, with the view at the counter and the great vibe, excellent restaurant to hit up.
Great meal sitting at the central counter with great view of the prep and cooking. Lively atmosphere and attentive service. Wonderful Rioja, amazing goats cheese tacos and best steak in a long time. Recommend highly!
This was such a birthday treat but we felt hugely let down. Very expensive for low quality food. The servers were helpful but obviously on the upsell. Very very disappointed and will be telling others not to go
Some of the food was great (starters, goat, filet) some not great. 2 dishes of Porterhouse where stone-cold, one ribeye got forgotten. The waiter was unfortunately over worked with what appeared to be too many tables - though I’m no restauranteur so maybe not qualified to comment but for sure he could not support us sufficiently. Shame as it really has the potential to be a great restaurant, sorry guys but at premium prices you expect good service.
Excellent ambience, tasty food, and lovely setting. The meat dishes were great - the vegetables, less so. Still recommend though!
Overall we had a great meal at Temper. The steak was delicious but the side dishes weren’t as tasty and the guacamole was disappointing.
The food was incredible - so delicious and well cooked. The goat tacos recommended by the staff were a highlight, the beef skewers were perfectly cooked and pink in the middle, and the Thai pork larb had so much flavour. The staff were amazing, so attentive and really friendly. We had such a great evening and couldn't recommend temper soho more highly!
Simply outstanding!! Definitely be back soon!!
Another great trip to Temper. We love the atmosphere at this place as well as the food and wine! Our steak was delicious and perfectly accompanied by the potatoes and a salad. That said, the highlight for me this time was the baked cookie dough chocolate pudding - I cant remember exactly what its called but it was delicious. :-)
The only slight detraction in terms of service was our waiter topping up a water glass with our wine and then just removing the glass without offering to compensate us in any way for his error (eg. replacing the glass of wine he wasted!)
Lovely place, friendly staff but expensive for the quality of food and drink which was solid yet unspectacular.
Food was good and staff polite. Our mains arrived before our plates had been cleared from our starters so we were holding our plates in the air on a small table for two and then when our table was cleared after our mains the waitress used one of our used napkins to wipe the table down.
The food and service were amazing as always!
We last visited a year ago and loved it but the menu and quality has changed since then. First the good. The service was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails were great, they will make anything for you. Food - the guacamole and tacos were excellent particularly the cheeseburger tacos. The rest of our order was over priced, strange flavoured and poor quality - we ordered the beef skewers which were raw in the middle, had a strange taste and burger meat consistency. The beef fat potatoes were undercooked and covered in a film of slime and over powered everything. The goat was chewy. Finally the cookie skillet which I had looked forward to as it was a highlight last year was terrible, it was like cake consistency not a cookie and was tasteless. Finally a small point but the music was too loud, we are in our mid thirties so far from old when I say this but we don't want to shout at each other over dinner (albeit a great playlist) We left still a little hungry and feeling ripped off due to the pricey bill. We don't mind paying high prices if the food is superb but this was far from it. Sadly this will be our last visit.
Food was tasty, delicious and good value. Only down side was that we felt we were slightly rushed out, the server claimed she needed the table back. We were sat at two stools up at the bar and there were around 25 free stools around the bar so it just felt a bit lousy. Only a small thing, rest of the staff and in particular the hosts were top notch. It’s a cool casual place and I will be back 100%
Really disappointing, I have been wanting to come here for a long time especially to eat the amazing steak. We were told the Fish of the Day was trout, then Mackerel arrived. Sauces that we ordered were wrong for the Porterhouse and service was quite patchy. Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office, as everyone I have spoken to didn't seem to have such a bad experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday meal at Temper Soho, staff were excellent, food was beautiful! When it got a little later in the evening we even got chatting to one of the chefs BBQing the meat (didn’t get his name) we told him that we have an indoor BBQ & he gave us a couple of tips & even took my partner out the back for a quick tour! Thank you for an amazing evening & will definitely be back!
Service was very poor, food order was messed up and attitude of staff was disgraceful, never again!
The staff here are friendly and very helpful. The food was okay but doesn't live up to the hype. The tacos are nice but the meat was a bit bland and lacked flavour.
Incredible service and food, a great evening.
Temper rightly has a reputation for good quality food that consists of a simple method. Quality ingredients and quality cooking get you fantastic results!
This particular location of Temper specialises in grilled steak and meats with a mexican twist in offering tacos, carnitas and nachos all with decadent flourishes.
The desserts are no after thought either with a lot of diners coming for their cookie dough or butterscotch sweet treats.
Your wallet may not thank you but your tummy definitely will!
Always a great food experience. A bit disappointed by the wine list. That was better in winter. But the food is still here to make us happy. The service was really great. I’ve been there with two colleagues. And rather than to spend hours to select ours dishes I asked the waiter to do the selection for us. A better choice :) I do like surprises. That were good ones. And as we found a correct that was even better. Of course we didn’t miss the famous cookie at the end. This one makes you becoming younger. It’s simple but so good. Reminds me things I ate when I was a teenager. Ok, a while ago then :)
Cracking food. Great service. Always delivers. Temper Soho well worth a visit.
Food was very tasty but more expensive than expected when the bill arrived. Great atmosphere and really well designed restaurant. Excellent place for a meal with friends or intimate date at the bar
Recently ate here with my family and the overall experience was excellent. The service was great as they were kind enough to hold our table while we were running late.
Starters were good but our drinks order didn’t go though the system but was quickly resolved. The food was fantastic! The desserts and drinks were great as well.
Overall my family enjoyed the restaurant and I’d definitely come back to the restaurant.
It was my fiance’s graduation and I asked to write congratulations in the dessert. The girl who called me one day before the booking she told me they will make it possible but at the end nothing happened.
Also, the lady who served us, it seems that she was always in a rush. No great service!
However, the food was great!
We had a lovely time. Service was slow but the food made up for it
Restaurant is a lovely little gem in Soho. Was disappointed that they didn't do the pre-theatre menu but was told I had to book into Covent Garden branch to get this.. Unsure why different branches have different terms but hey ho. Food was tasty and suitable for meat eaters. Atmosphere was lovely
