We only use the best produce available and source our meat from local farms and butcher it all ourselves in house.
We serve this alongside cornish fish and seafood on corn tortillas and flat breads we made in house.
Each week we have ‘Sunday sharing specials’ for the table.
We have 180 seats which you can book but we always reserve room for walk-ins.
Truly a delightful experience. I highly suggest sitting by the grill and chatting with the Chef. Every dish was a flavour explosion without a single disappointment.
Service is far too slow and inattentive
Cool atmosphere and well looked after by the attentive staff
Manager, female with the blonde hair was fantastic - super attentive and made us feel v welcome. Female server not so much, slightly rude and unhelpful; asked for a meat cut recommendation and she replied "I don't know" followed by "they're all good" - not exactly what I was looking for. Other than that great experience.
Food ok but not great for price
Noisy and server could not hear us
Slow service and forgot bits on our order
Overall poor for soho and would not go again.
Warm welcome. Flexibility on seating location without feeling awkward was very much appreciated. Delicious food. Go for the goat and beef. Save room for the cookie.
Food was really great, especially the smoked goat taco and Rib eye. Service was great as well.
Great atmosphere and music in temper Soho. The rump steak and goat dish were 10/10. Also ordered four sides to share and couldn’t fault any of them! The staff were very knowledgable when I asked about different items on the menu. I will definitely be returning as well as trying the other two restaurants.
Lovely staff. Really sweet with my outgoing 5 year old (perhaps because it was a quiet lunchtime, they let her hang out with the staff- wouldn't expect this on a busy evening, but it was lovely all the same) Amazing food and really nice wines available by carafe. Felt like a special lunch (its not cheap) but not at all stuffy.
Such a great evening and I thought the food was impeccable. Beautiful wine with lots of variety. Definitely recommend and our seats were great up by the chef's kitchen.
We had a really good time, the staff were excellent, super friendly and helpfu. Food was excellent too, just what we wanted after for a Friday night catch up. Thanks to the whole team, great job!
Loved every moment in this restaurant and every bite of the food. Fantastic experience I will be recommending to everyone I know!
As always outstanding all round. By far one of the best restaurants in Soho
Couple of us arrived early for a drink. We were takes straight to table and offered drink, however no one came to table to offer second drink until our companion arrived. It was 45 min just with one drink, we would have few more. Restaurant wasn’t busy yet we came at 6.00pm. Food was delicious and service good but only when everyone arrived.
The ambiance was relaxed. The service was ok - a bit confused. Ordered Picanha and Filet aged 60 dayssaid would check. Sirloin was served and I said I ordered Picanha so went off and said there is one will take 20 minutes so said ok. Meantime Filet was served medium rather than the medium rare ordered. Meat was good so tolerable. Picanha came rare was excellent. I’d go back again.
Such lovely staff, we were a little early and they fitted us in on a fab table. It was my husband's birthday and they really looked after us, including a complimentary cocktail to celebrate! The steak was epic, the wine delicious, if only we had room for dessert!
What an amazing experience. On of the best meats I have eaten in the U.K.
the barbecue pit in the middle is amazing. Every single dish we tried was perfectly cooked. I cannot recommend it more. Just go.
For a full dinner of: 2 main, 1 starter, 1 steak, 2 desserts and some beers we paid 110£. Great value for the quality and quantity. Will try and visit again soon. Well done guys.
Excellent birthday celebration. Only marked down on ambience because it was lunchtime and a little quiet. This place jumps in the evening but loved it all the same. Great service and delicious bbq/meats plus hispi cabbage too!
Fantastic food and service. We sat at the counter seats and it was a great experience.
Fantastic service with excellent recommendations on food/Mezcal!
I've been wanting to eat at Temper for quite a while and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was excellent, even the things I was not too interested in on the menu totally blew me away. Already planning the next meal...
Great food for sharing with friendly and efficient service.
30£ for 4 tacos and guacamole is definitely too much
Always a safe bet - fantastic food and friendly service
Delicious food, wine and desert. Fantastic service from our waiter. Baffled as to why it was so quiet in there at 8pm on a Saturday night!
Sehr gute Atmosphäre mit speziellen Charme, wenn man an der Bar essen konnte und somit die Schauküche im vollen geniessen konnte.
Einziger kleiner Abstrich: der Geräuschpegel war relativ hoch.
Spent an evening with friends enjoying the amazing food and drink. The highlights were the Smoked Goat Tacos and the aged Sirloin off the specials. Service was great and the setting very nice with amazing smells coming from the grills in the middle of restaurant.
The restaurant is still nice to go out with a group but the menu is not as before I remember it.
Unfortunately our meal at temper fell a bit flat. First off, with a reservation at 8:15 on a Wednesday, by the time we arrived there was no steak available in a size smaller than 500g meaning no individual steak portions. Being in a group of 3 we mixed and matched a large steak and some BBQ but it was a bit odd them having run out of cuts mid-week. Then the most upsetting (upsetting as we were hoping for wonderful things!) was that the 500g porterhouse we had ordered as medium rare arrived substantially overdone - only the very fattest part of the steak had a blush of pink to it. We did flag this to a waiter who brought over the manager who then said he was going to have a word with the kitchen - and he never came back. The quality of the meat was clearly great and it was a tasty steak though obviously not done justice nor anywhere near as juicy as it could have been. For full disclosure, after we’d finished the mains the waiter did offer dessert on the house but we weren’t in the mood and we did then get a discount on the bill. The whole experience was a bit of a shame as it teased the promise of great things but didn’t deliver...and I don’t think it’s too much to ask a restaurant priding itself on its steak to cook them to order.
For the price, the service was very poor. Difficult to get attention. Order was wrong and ended up being charged for a drink we didn’t order. No one asked how the food was. Steak was good, goat was dry. Won’t be back again
Only our second time here, exceeded our last visit. The chef took time to explain a couple of cooking tips to help me with my cooking. Waitresses were attentive without been intrusive and the waiter who took our order advised us very well. All in all a great visit.
Friendly staff who were struggling at times to cope with how busy it was and so the service suffered but only slightly.
Food was very good quality. Drinks were excellent and price was what you expect for a place like that in London. Nice atmosphere and felt relaxed. Stayed longer than the allotted time on the website and it wasn't an issue. Overall I really enjoyed our experience and would return with friends and family.
We were greeted with a congratulatory drink as it was our anniversary, which was a nice way to start. My cocktail was delicious with its shot of mezcal on the side. The food was amazing. The stand out dishes were the smoked goat taco and the smashed cucumber, we had 2 orders of both. We debated desserts as we were quite full but decided to go for it. The cookie baked in the wood oven with fior de latte ice cream was worth the slightly uncomfortable walk home.
The atmosphere was perfect and our waiter was on point and amazing all night.
Would definitely recommend. A bit on the more expensive side as far as evenings go but we drank and ate with care so I think that's more on us then restaurant. Definitely worth the money paid.
Food was good and well executed, but not over the top culinary excellence. Plating leaves much to be desired. Service was exceptionally poor even by low end restaurant standards. This would be the biggest area for improvement
Good service polite staff and a nice welcome on arrival
The food was superb the wine by the glass a bit expensive had 3arge glasses so maybe next time would peruse the wine list.
The restaurant wasnt busy and we look forward to returning during a busier session.Reckon the atmosphere would be great.
Although service started a little slow our experience was good.
Food was amazing. Looking forward to returning sometime soon.
Good food, but confusing menu
Very busy on a Saturday night
I've been to Temper many times and the food is always great. The only negative is that the prices in the last year (at least for the prime cuts) have increased by up to 50% in some cases.
Mostly sharing dishes, with tacos and smoked meats dominating the menu and grilled steaks as specials. We enjoyed the beef fat popcorn, the ambience of the big meats cooking in the middle of the room.
