We only use the best produce available and source our meat from local farms and butcher it all ourselves in house.
We serve this alongside cornish fish and seafood on corn tortillas and flat breads we made in house.
Each week we have ‘Sunday sharing specials’ for the table, alongside our individual roasts. Have a look at our menus here or keep up to date with our social media for details each week.
We have 180 seats which you can book but we always reserve room for walk-ins.
The wagyu sirloin was not up to mark, it wasn’t cooked or seasoned well. It didn’t taste like wagyu and wasn’t worth the money.
Service was generally slow
Excellent service and top quality food!! Would recommend to everyone
Food was good, stick to the meat, fish was awful but the noise level in the restaurant was unbelievable. Not sure why maybe it’s the low ceiling, we were shouting at each other trying to make ourselves heard, never known anything like it, woke up the next day feeling like I’d been at a gig singing all night with a gravelly voice. Terrible
Great to be sat close to the action but very hot sat on the counter - maybe a note on the reservation to expect that?
There are really good flavours in some of the food. The goat was quite fatty and the veg not great (wilted greens). I found that for the amount of food you get for the cost isnt great value.
Steak was good but disappointing side dishes
who runs a steak place without offering fries? mash potato just doesn't cut it, sorry
jerk greens? why?
the cucumber dish is plain weird
but the steak is great
Delicious as always! There's a reason I keep going back!
Great food. Original. Varied. All our choices were really nice. Great location. Nice setting. Good service. Great choice for a night out with friends.
The food was outstanding. We had the beef and pork carnitas and had to order a second round because it was soooo good. The atmosphere is very unique but cool. Its impressive how there is no smoke at all in the restaurant even though they cool right next to you on a open charcoal grill. Will definitely be back, next time we’re in London.
A first visit. Other reviewers have suggested that the portions are small. I would recommend one and a half nachos per head. They are exceptionally good -arguably better than the main course (which was nonetheless really good). The atmosphere was buzzy without being intrusive. Service was excellent. Not cheap but if I compare the overall experience with, say Smith & Wollensky, it was streets ahead.
Second visit was disappointing. 30 mins late in getting our booked table - food then took over 1 hour to come which meant we ended up eating very late. They did try and compensate by removing the wine from the bill but did mean a subpar experience for my fathers birthday.
Amazing food. I’m vegetarian and despite being a meat restaurant there was enough for me to choose from and everything was delicious and inventive. It was a busy Friday night and the service was brilliant and staff very warm and friendly. I will 100% be back. Great place for dinner with friends, date night, it has a very fun, cool vibe.
Amazing food, a great vibe and fun to see your food being cooked on the grill. Service was a little on the slow side down to the restaurant being incredibly busy. I’ll definitely be back!
Loved it! The food was incredible - the steak was perfectly cooked, the beef carnitas was smoky and delicious, and the sides (smashed cucumber and jerk greens) had wonderful complex flavours too. The service was friendly and we didn't wait long for anything. Great cocktails.
It was a tad noisy but to be expected on a busy Friday. If I could change anything it would be something to make the menu easier to read as where we were sitting it was a little dark! But generally brilliant, we'll definitely be back.
Such excellent food! We weren’t told the time limit for our table which was disappointing but other than that a thoroughly enjoyable dinner with great food and great service
Temper is a good restaurant and the ambience is very good with the open kitchen however the price of some of the food seemed expensive for what it was. Good quality food but expected bigger portions on some of the tacos that were £16 for 2 tiny tacos.
Their twist on classic BBQ is interesting and tasty!
Always a fantastic experience. Food, and service are top notch.
terrific Mexican flavours in nicely balanced portions. Fantastic open kitchen and overall friendly service. A separate bar area would be nice to avoid the waiting room upstairs where the staff appear a bit flustered. Will definitely go back to try the big cuts of meat
Great food and atmosphere. Cracking playlist too!
Great venue based around the BBQ fire pit. Extremely helpful staff in terms of menu knowledge and general service. I felt the menu was limited and the food underwhelming. I wouldn’t choose to eat there in the future.
great food and atmosphere - good value for money as well
the wine list was disappointing - everything we ordered was down to the last bottle or out of stock.....
it also used to have a better Australian list - now its very limited.
Amazing food, chef made personal recommendations and let’s us try different things,
Incredible atmosphere and very tasty food, would highly recommend. Great date spot!
Food was SUPERB. Our party of four had a wonderful time, and enjoyed every dish. Table service wasn’t brilliant, we went through that cycle of being visited every few minutes to ordering and then having to wave someone down every time we needed something. Music was a bit too loud for easy conversation, but at least was a total jam. Love this place.
I have eaten here several times now, always great service and fabulous food.
Really enjoyed the food and the service was great - staff very patient explaining menu and making good recommendations. Good music too.
Waitress recommended amount of meat to order per person - we ordered 50% more than she suggested but as the rib eye was mainly gristle and very chewy we couldn’t eat it. Fish she assured us was filleted with no bones - actually came as solid chunk from middle of fish including bones and was over cooked so very dry. Smoked goat taco excellent as were beef curry skewers. Mash and sauces never arrived. We waited 50 mins between ordering and food reaching table - we were dining late and restaurant not busy. Our waitress left after taking our order handing us to another waiter who we hardly saw. Spoke to manager who actually said “I’ve removed the items you didn’t receive from your bill” he left the rib eye on although he had taken it from table to the chef and between them decided it was ok (maybe he should’ve taken the chunks of gristle left on our plates) fish was removed from bill and discount offered but the experience was shambolic from start to finish (as this wasn’t our first visit to Temper we knew what to expect but on this occasion failed at every level)
Fabulous the roast vegetables could be nicer but the meat was divine
Had wanted to come here after reading positive reviews so chose to go on a Sunday lunchtime. Definately pleased we did, the room had a great Buzy atmosphere and all is centered around the large open kitchen fire pit with some very impressive cuts of meat being handled by the chefs!
The service was informative and attentive, the food did not disapoint at all and we will be going back to try out more cuts next time, also the desert of Buterscotch sauce Icecream and a pastry was stunning, had me in a sugar rush, in a nice way!
Would gladly recomend Temper
Beautiful restaurant with an open plan kitchen and a special Sunday menu. Great atmosphere and the Sunday roasts are really good, however, the service is a little slow and scatty and it takes too long to get drinks and service.
The food was excellent, and the ambience was great for the most part. Though it's not a place i'd take my parents, as it's pretty loud! (That's not really a bad thing!)
The service from 1 of the 2 waitresses was excellent. Daniella was fantastic. The other lady was rude and looked miserable. and as if she wished she could be anywhere else.
Overall though, fantastic restaurant. Aged Cheeseburger Tacos were amazing. :)
Great food - good service. This is the second time we visit Temper. The first time it was only two of us and we sat at the bar. This enhanced the experience significantly. This time we booked a table as we were four people and we didn't get to sit where we saw the action in the bar/kitchen. Still great food....
Food very tasty, some good flavours there but you will come away hungry. Mushroom Tacos, Goats Cheese Tacos, cheeseburger tacos all excellent but poor value at around 9 for two items.
Same for the mains at 15/16 Beef/Pork Carnitas,
Desserts were more generous.
Service friendly but disorganised, wrong dishes delivered. Bill had £150 added from another random table....I guess you just can’t get the staff.
Nice ambience and seating, music too loud.
Would recommend but the noise (music) level was too high imo.
Lights were too cold, music was incredibly loud, service was quite slow. Took about 45 minutes to get waited on and our drinks served, before waiting another 20 for the food to come. But overall the food was great, drinks were great, but should have come faster. Positive experience!!
Amazing atmosphere as soon as we arrived and super friendly staff who helped us work our way round the menu. Everything we ate was faultless!
Delicious food, great ambiance, friendly service. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and music, would recommend sitting at the bar.
My booking and the confirmation of it the night before did not show up on their system. Clearly Opentable is partly responsible for the problem but given that the table we were provided after going through emails, messages etc was in the corner of the restaurant (not by the counter as I requested) and broken, really let down the experience.
Been to Temper a couple of times thought the food was better last time and they had run out of my favourite chilli with bone marrow so that was a bit disappointing other than that nice and buzzy after a couple of mezcals..
