temper is a unique barbecue, steak and open fire pit restaurant where we cook everything in front of your eyes using only wood and charcoal in huge 4.5m long fire pit in the middle of the room.
We only use the best produce available and source our meat from local farms and butcher it all ourselves in house.
We serve our meats alongside tacos, parathas, made in house and mezcal cocktails.
Each week we have our Sunday Roast that is perfect for a table of 2 or 10 with it's sharing style platter.

Food definitely wasn’t what I was looking for, can clearly tell there isn’t a lot or prep going into the dishes and had very little taste.
Brought food that wasn’t ours, didn’t serve us wine until we’d almost finish our main course, then it was the wrong wine. Forgot about our pudding. Service overall was very poor and tainted the experience for us.

As always, it was amazing - great food, drink and vibe. All socially distant. Service was a little slow but it was the first night they reopened since lockdown, so totally understandable

The food was outstanding! And the service too was very friendly! Music was awesome.
Great welcome when we arrived. Great table, very comfortable. Food was delicious but apart from the fish, which was hot , the food was tepid in temperature. The beef in the carnitas was amazingly flavourful ! House salad was disappointing as it was a small handful of leaves and for some bizarre reason had coconut in it which I can’t stand. £5 for the salad was expensive. We tried a number of sides including hispi cabbage and the burata with lime. Both delicious. Overall we had a great meal and would come back again. Prices were a little on the high side but not too much to dissuade us from returning.
Sit at the bar and have the cheeseburger tacos.
The atmosphere is great, music is cool, food is excellent and staff is nice. Good for evening with friends or even business dinner.
Roast was really nice, we had the ribs, lamb and goat. All really delicious. We felt it was a bit light on the vegtables, this could have been solved easily as i imagine is the cheaper part of the meal.
Really enjoyed our first visit. Great location and great ambience. Was on the expensive side for what you got especially 2 small tacos for £12, but would give it a try.
The cocktails were watered down and the main courses food were cold when they arrived, but the icing on the cake was that we were asked to leave within “a few minutes” because they needed the table. We were not offered dessert, coffee or anything because there wasn’t time! Not going back...
Disappointing. Very friendly waiter boded well but then drinks and all 5 dishes were brought immediately and all at once. Chicken wings were cold and flabby. When asked they were microwaved but not much improved. Other dishes were quite tasty but had all been cooked a while and standing around. Smokestak and Black Axe Mangal do it much better.

Firstly, we had a person who was gluten free and received mixed messages from our waiter and the lady who brought our food about what did and didn't have gluten in it which was confusing and I think unacceptable and dangerous for people with an intolerance.
Our waiter was extremely rude from the beginning and got progressively worse as the night went on. Not all the food we ordered arrived - which we highlighted to the lady who brought it but she obviously did nothing about it as it still didn't arrive. Then after we had eaten what did arrive we decided we were still hungry, so we told our waiter that instead we would like to order some steak. He did not tell us at the time that this could take up to 30 mins (which is ridiculous anyway for 1 medium cooked steak!) and given that he knew we had already eaten I feel this was especially relevant. After 30 mins we complained about how long it was taking and he assured us it would be with us in a couple of minutes. After another 15 mins the steak had still not arrived and we'd had no communication from him, so after failing to attract his attention I went up and waited for him to finish with another table so I could talk to him. He saw me and tried to ignore me again but couldn't, at this point he gave me some attitude like I was wasting his time and it was a chore to talk to me. When I told him to forget the steak and we'd have the bill instead he just said he'd have to talk to his manager, then proceeded to bring the bill over, with 12.5% service charge added to it! When he came back for payment I said we wouldn't be paying the service charge. He then brought a revised bill without even questioning it or saying anything. At no point did we receive any sort of concern, apology or care that we were still hungry after waiting 45 minutes and dissatisfied enough to leave without paying the service charge. Not a single word!
We paid £36.50 per head for a small amount of food and a lot of aggro, which is unacceptable!
Sadly the food was cold, for a wood fired place this was ironic.

Delicious food, would include more sauces with some of the tacos e.g. the mushroom ones because otherwise its just seasoned mushrooms on a taco. Otherwise, food delicious, great atmosphere, music and service, and the food costs how much it is worth. This is still my favourite restaurant in London - but bring back the chili bone marrow taco!!!

Great space, brilliant ambience and loved the music. Goats cheese taco to start was delicious, but the carnitas to follow weren’t great. I think the food here is good but would just choose differently next time and go for the steak. Bottle of Pinot noir was stunning and good value, but for what we ate it felt overpriced. Will definitely return to try the steaks and I can’t fault the staff on their helpfulness with my strict gluten free requirements.

Terrible service backed up by fairly average food. The waiter couldn’t have cared less if he tried. The starters were average at best (avoid the haggis taco), but the mains were certainly better, nothing amazing though. Wouldn’t recommend or go again.

Food was great the staff at front of house were very helpful when we asked to get seats at the bar and our waiter was excellent. Food was top notch got the porter house steak up there with one of the nicest steaks I’ve had. Only problem was the place was a bit dark but I would 100% come back again.

The concept of the restaurant is great. Small dishes and large steaks sliced to share. Cocktails are nice as well. The energy of the venue reflects this, groups chatting and couples not really there for a quiet evening for two. Unfortunately our service didn't match, they weren't welcoming, uninterested and felt like they'd rather be somewhere else.

We visited two 30th birthdays, despite noting in advance of the special occasion the restaurant did not acknowledge this at all.
Somehow, they also managed to completely forget the fact that we ordered a 900g Chateaubriand, which was expected to be the heart of our dining experience. They also omitted a few of our side orders, it was as if they reviewed our order and crossed off the things they didn’t want to cook. To add insult to injury, we were even given steak knives like some kind of sick joke...
Señor manager did his best to resolve the situation, albeit after a rather heated discussion in which it was assumed that we received said steak. He was happy to provide us with alternative (inferior) cuts, and was generous in ensuring we were taken care of thereafter, yet it didn’t make up for the disregard we were treated with before kicking up a fuss. We were in the corner booth and this just added to the lack of service, as it very much felt as if we were an afterthought, frequently left with empty glasses.
Overall: we all left feeling more smacked than temper’s smacked cucumber.
If you fancy for good beef, go somewhere else! But desserts were good. We were a party of 8 but had to squeeze in a table for 6! They just simply to lazy to set up a proper table for us. The restaurant was only 1/3 occupied. As a party of 8, I had to pay service charge, but they indeed did not deserve!
Really good food with entertainment thrown in watching the amazing team of chefs prep your meal. Great music, buzzy atmosphere, reasonable prices

Food was amazing, service excellent and the house wine almost perfectly matched the steak. However if you are of a rotund stature try not to be seated around the chefs in the middle of the restaurant as my husband was extremely uncomfortable throughout our visit as the seats are bolted to the floor and are very close to the bar.
