We only use the best produce available and source our meat from local farms and butcher it all ourselves in house.
We serve this alongside cornish fish and seafood on corn tortillas and flat breads we made in house.
Each week we have ‘Sunday sharing specials’ for the table, alongside our individual roasts. Have a look at our menus here or keep up to date with our social media for details each week.
We have 180 seats which you can book but we always reserve room for walk-ins.

We’ve had friendly service and delicious food each time we’ve visited and won’t hesistate to go back. Music is great too!
I thought the prime cuts of beef were outstanding (we had rump as everything else had finished). However I felt the rest of the menu was a bit too fussy. Nearly every dish was covered in cheese or cream, whereas if the meat quality is that good, simple is often better. The cookie dessert was also outstanding. For what you pay, I wanted the food to be better. The service started off brilliantly but as we booked a late table (8:30pm) it began to wain as it was getting near closing, we left at 10:30 and they shut at 11pm. The ambience was fab and great to be t the counter watching the food being prepared. The gin was great too.
Counter was great to watch the action but be ready to head to the dry cleaners after. All in all good stuff!
Amazing food, the 'cheese burgers' were so good we had to order another round after we 'finished' our meal. Service at the start was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable but then, as the evening went on it tailed off and we had to work quite hard to get more drinks and food which was a shame as there seemed to be plenty of staff
Fabulous food with great staff and a fantastic atmosphere. Think main courses need to be a little more defined and represent better value as price per 100g makes the meat v expensive for what you get
dined at Temper on Monday evening - amazing food, service was top notched and ambience was great. will definitely visit again
Possibly the worst service I’ve ever had, it started to become funny how bad and rude the staff were. They kept taking our plates before we had finished the food, would walk off halfway through answering a question and were just generally miserable. The food was fine.
Delicious food, the freshest produce, knowledgeable staff and great service. The cocktails were also delicious. Outstanding value for money for central London. We enjoyed being able to watch the chefs at work and the talent to cook meat to perfection using the fire pits
Great food, great service. Loved the decor. Only the music was sometimes a tad bit too loud.
Great food & service but seating at the counter was so tight with very little space making it uncomfortable
Seen Temper on celeb masterchef and had to try it out, and we were not disappointed. Food was great, especially the cheeseburger tacos and the cookie skillet-you NEED to save room for the cookie skillet. The only thing to bear in mind is that if you get counter seating, you will be near the action and it is HOT! So don't wear a wooly jumper.
Food, service and atmosphere was awesome . I liked it much more than the city branch
Very good meat quality and meat preparation. Only little minus is that it is quite loud and therefore it can be hard to have in depth conversations.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, clued-up staff. Go there.
Busy for a Monday, glad I booked
Food was really good, sharing style menu so lots of plates on the table
Probably ordered one too many dishes, it all sounded great on the menu
Couple of misses (purely down to our preferences) but overall the food was well prepared, tasty and very well priced
£115 for 3 starters, 5 main plates and a bottle of wine
Special mention to the Beef Fat Tacos and the Beef Chilli with Bone Marrow..... yum
Food was lovely, restaurant is very modern and well designed. Highlight of watching the chefs prepare the food at the counter bar. Was a bit quiet when we went, however this didn’t take away from the food or occasion. Great meal and worth the money.
This is one of my favourite places to go in Soho! The smoked meats are divine, great beers, and there’s nothing on the menu that hasn’t been spectacular. Sitting on the counter is great fun to watch the chefs at their best, and the cozy ambience is further improved by the smell of BBQ and smoked meats in the basement. Being served by David is always a delight, and all of the staff are friendly and helpful with the menu too. Just heavenly for meat-lovers. The smacked cucumber and bone marrow beef chilli is just awesome.
Great service, wonderful food, reasonably priced. Must try the warm cookie dessert and the Nduja Tostada.
Disappointed by the food but service was good. Value was typical of London prices - would not go back. Do not understand why this is on time outs top 100 list !
Excellent meat dishes at very good overall price (£45 a head including couple of drinks each and service). Appreciate it's a BBQ place but could really have done with a couple of green options on the sides menu. Good buzz but music way too loud - we could barely hold a four-way conversation across our small table and even had to yell to speak to the person next to you. Good, but personally think there are better meat / BBQ options nearby.
Very tasty and the steak by weight excellent. I know music adds atmosphere but I don’t want to have to shout when eating my meal.
Great food and restaurant, the manager was just amazing and so passionate about the food they serve and provided us with a lovely dessert at the end to say thank you to us for enjoying the meal and experience 👏👏👏
Great lunch with colleagues around several dishes of meat. All very tasty, even if sometimes some chilly were overpowering. Very quiet that day at lunch time, but I am not sure it has to do with the summer heat or the usual footfall for a midday during the week. Glad it was quiet though as the underground venue may be buzzing when full.
Visiting London to see family and celebrate a birthday. Temper was great fun, apparently effortlessly simple yet tasty food. A bit quirky to have raclette cheese and potatoes with meat this time of year and some spicy street food at the same time! Ordinary desserts. Delicious wine though -Nieto Malbec. Just left hungry and it was expensive. Not sure I would go again but worth a visit for the experience. We had a booth. Bar stools may have been even more fun.
food was very good and presented in a unique way. i did feel that it was expensive however. its a meat lovers delight but you do feel you need a good salad after.
Very disappointing. No atmosphere, greasy fatty meat, very over-priced drinks. Been once before and liked it but now it feels like a has-been.
The restaurant was terrible.
Over spicy, all the meat was very fatty but bland.
Not what I was expecting at all.
The food was awful, limited menu.
Staff were not very helpful.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
This place is absolutely awesome. The food is out of this world, particularly the cheeseburger tacos. Wine choice is good and service is really on it. I wish we had sat at the bar and not in the main seating area as there is more atmosphere at the bar. The only thing to be aware of is a lot of the ingredients they use aren’t on the menu so we ended up with lots of spicy food and I couldn’t eat it.
I loved the ambiance and the groove. Food and drink was really delicious as was the service. I scored price 4star because I think west end prices are pushing the ceiling overall.
The food was really fun, interestingly presented and exceptionally delicious. Service also very good. However the restaurant suffers from being too noisy and there’s an unpleasant smell of smoking fat.
Great place to share and try lots of the food on offer. Service was very helpful in guiding how much to order. Some dishes were on the spicy side which we struggled with alongside the heat of the kitchen.
Food was great
Cocktails were good
Interior is nice
service was pretty weak
value for money not sure
Food was hit and miss. Service spotty.
Not for us. Waiter was very helpful and pleasant however we found the food to be very unsubtly flavoured. Ceviche way too heavy on the fish sauce for example. Should it even be in Ceviche?? Also they had run out of steak by 20.45 on a Saturday which disappointed. Beef chilli with bone marrow was quite sickly. Too much lard in everything it seems. Excellent gin and tonic though! It is obviously popular but we didnt like it that much.
We had a really nice evening at Temper. We sat at the bar and watched all the food being cooked, which was fun (if a little smokey at times!)
Service was very good and everything arrived quickly.
Only a couple of negatives. We were not eating late (around 7pm) and most of the steaks were already off menu. I ended up ordering the rump (had to order a large one as there were no small ones left - not sure why it could not have been cut) and it was a bit too fatty - now I like a bit of fat in my steak and have had plenty of rump steaks but this had not rendered down properly and detracted from the eating experience.
Apart from that we enjoyed everything else we had ordered and felt everything was good value for money.
Would recommend to friends and return if we fancied some well BBQ'd meat!
Nice experience and very good meat (soft, tender and with taste). Really nice service and strongly recommend to eat at the counter!!
We were visiting London from Channel Islands and were so impressed. we love BBQ and slow cooked food and this was just a great way to experience it. The counter is a must if you are a couple or very small group as you get to see all the action and feel the heat of the coals. Our waiter did forget to put our order in at first but we were there for the experience and not in a rush, he also made it up to us with a free side and the service regardless of that was fantastic.
Food is outstanding, exactly what we were expecting and more. The aged cheeseburger taco is delicious and the lamb flatbread was just melt in the mouth.
If you can fit in a dessert then the cookie is incredible.
We got to chat to one of the chefs, very insightful and enhanced the experience even more!
Brilliant food - fantastic menu. Would highly recommend the chuck steak !
Once again the food was to die for and everyone was absolutely lovely. I cannot wait to come back again
My only gripe was being brought the bill because there was another table booking after ours after having been there for an hour and a half. Completely understand it’s a busy restaurant but I do hate feeling rushed. Aside from this the South African waiter we had was AMAZING. On the whole unbelievable staff and incredible food
Amazing flavours. Top quality meat. The service was second to none.
