   Good food but all delayed so didn’t eat the sides with the main meal as they all came at different times. Drink took 30 mins to arrive. Fire alarm went off 3 times and room became quite smoky. Poor waiters running around and apologising. Real shame as food is good.

   Frankly I was disappointed. I have been to temper Soho a number of times and it has always been great. I chose Shoreditch because it was close to work for a Friday night friends gathering. The food and wine was good, no complaints but not up to usual standards in my view. Generally the music was far too loud so that we couldn’t hear any of the servers properly when they were trying to explain the menu or deliver the food to the right person. Apart from when coming to the table to bring food it was difficult to attract the attention of the staff. We ordered a coffee after the meal that never appeared. All of the staff were lovely and very friendly, but overall I felt a bit let down by inviting friends out of town to a restaurant where I felt we’d have a great time. It wasn’t a disaster, but it wasn’t great.

   Delicious flavourful dishes and a buzzy ambience. Need to work on their service - there seemed to be a staffing shortage which is understandable; however, for the prices charged, I would expect better.

   We requested the bill and it went to the wrong table. We were celebrating a birthday which we noted on the booking and we wasn’t offered anything to make our visit special. The table next to us wasn’t cleared for quite a while after the guests left leaving it quite messy with used tissues everywhere. Apart from these small issues the meal was very nice and we will back back, I just think attention to detail and the customer service could be improved to make it perfect!

   Great vibe, excellent roast with all the trimmings. Not the cheapest around but well worth it. The atmosphere is buzzy and fun with good music. It’s subterranean and dark with great details and lighting. We’ll be back!

   Table wasn’t ready when we arrived we had to stand and wait by the door. When we got to our table we had to flag someone down to eventually order…we got our drinks 20mins after we asked for them - and our food came over an hour later after chasing them for that. Just such a shame as it was a real treat to come to temper that was a real let down. Couldn’t cope with the capacity! Probs won’t come back now.

   Lamb tacos were juicy and spicy, just like my relationship. Went there for the roast, and the roast potatoes were the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of roast potatoes. I can’t describe how good there were, but I will try…. They were good 👍 . The service was outstanding, I felt like I was in a dance battle and I got served. Overall would definitely go again.

   A bouncer on the door rather than a host or hostess was unusual and slightly off-putting and it took quite a while to place an order when we were seated but the server was quite helpful and when the food started to come it was tremendous tasting. However, once we’d finished eating it took 30 mins to collect our empty plates of which there was a few because of the style of food. We ended up having to move the plates ourselves even though numerous staff walked past towards the kitchen where the plates ended up empty handed in the interim period. Such a shame, it put a real dampener on the night. Food was lovely and tasty but wouldn’t rush to go back.

    food was soo good, i usually go to soho but this is closer to me. the staff had a table for us at the bar but helped us move away from the cooking, massive portions. the roast is massive have a fast before eating!!!

    Great food, amazing steak! Gorgeous bottle of Malbec and exciting starters. The restaurant needed better extractor fans, the smoke was pretty bad.

    A soulless steak-concept restaurant with about as much atmosphere as an Essex cocktail bar chain. The bouncer and the velvet rope at the door set the tone, and the loud music couldn’t disguise the fact there was zero vibe about the out-datedly designed (yet brand new) space. Food was ok (but not cheap), service friendly, but overall it was obviously just a way to separate tourists from their cash..

    Had a lot great feedback from my team about the venue choice. Only issues were with actually managing the booking, how we the staff were attentive to my needs when I arrived at the restaurant, and it’s always easier to get things done F2F. Was just a shame that not all the cocktails were available on happy hour and the steak cuts were limited to just large weights. However, all in all everyone was super happy and we will definitely use the restaurant again for events in the near future. Thanks again!

    The decor is nice inside and seating at the bar gives a great view of the kitchen. The Sunday Roast was tasty and also very filling. The service was quiet slow however.

    I came here for a birthday meal with my friend. The staff were lovely but unfortunately the service was really slow but a member of staff had explained that there was meant to be more waiters and also apologised for the slow service which was understandable. Overall it was a decent dining experience which needs some slight improvements definitely order the chicken dukkah carnitas if you get the chance!

    The food was good and tasty. The steaks were undercooked, which was disappointing. The cocktails were v good. Service was good, but not enough staff, but they were very accommodating. Could not fault them at all. The ambience was loud, so hard to hear yourselves. What was strange that you had to pay your bill at the bar upstairs and not transfer it downstairs which was very peculiar.

    I love Temper. The food isn't just delicious - it also comes from high quality produce and their meat is rare breed, slow raised, pasture grazed and butchered in-house. The new Shoreditch branch is outstanding. Every plate was a flavour bomb, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the service was friendly, easy-going and professional. Well done to the highly accomplished team behind our meal - my friend and I had a fab evening!

    Lovely roast although beef was a bit tough. Also staff member didn’t have a clue about wine and just wanted me to buy the more expensive bottle although the Pinot Noir we chose was lovely and reasonably priced. However overall a very nice experience.

    Sunday roast at Temper was delicious! The pork belly and beef were both great, yorkshire pudding was one of the better one's I've had, and potatoes and veg were also delicious. The ambience and setting was nice and modern.

    I have visited the soho venue.. I would highly recommend eating at this branch instead. In Shoredtich, the service wasn't very good at all.. the you guy who served us just didn't have a clue what he was doing really... Food was very underwhelming and I received two of the worst bloody mary's ever (the second was a remake of the first). Also was seating in the corner which at times felt like we were forgotten about.. some of the staff where nice and accommodating but just that one guy needs some training.

    We went with high hopes and were left disappointed on numerous levels. After ordering a number of sharing plates from the a la carte and two very large steaks from the meat card we were looking forward to a nice meal. However after an hour and a half and no food arriving we asked where the food was. They said the steaks were coming so we asked about the sharing plates and were told that we hadn't ordered any. The waitress never returned to ask us and it was left to a manager who said there was an error. Another manager said that it would "arrive when it was ready" and was incredibly patronising. He annoyed the entire group. They took our order again and rushed the sharing plates out, they were ok. Then the steaks arrived and by now they were overcooked. Grey means medium to well done and not medium rare. We were told that the steaks were delivered at the expected time which made it worse at it means they simply overcooked two 60 day aged 1.2kg steaks....what a waste. When it came to the bill they removed service and one bottle of wine from a £650 bill. I told them this was not acceptable as the service charge was optional and we would not have paid that anyway after the service. Eventually they took another £50 off the bill which was still too much but by now I had given up. Clearly its a new restaurant and so has inexperienced staff and is getting going. That said, there were lots of opportunities to wow us and change the experience, all of these were missed. Its a shame but we won't be returning.

    The best roast in London hands down. So great to have this new spot right on my doorstep. Not your London-pub-style roast, but the quality is far superior. Definitely go with a group of people. On the expensive side, but worth it.

    The food was delicious. We didn’t get served for ages. The staff almost ignored us. Our waiter tried to push steak and expensive wine even though we said we wanted cocktails and sharing dishes. He also seemed to have no interest in telling us what dishes he’d recommend or engaging with us. When the food arrived very little explanation about what was on the plates. So it was delicious but they need to work on the customer experience. We’ve been to other Temper restaurants before and none of these issues were a problem. I’d go back to Soho over Shoreditch!

    Went for the Sunday roast, would go back. The "garnish" is all the trimmings (except cauliflower cheese). We were worried we had to buy them as sides, but fear not, just odd wording on the menu. Not one for veggies as slabs of meat and a pig's head used as decor.

    This was my first time going to Temper for the roast, having been a fan of the weekday menu for a long time and I will definitely be going back often on a sunday now too! We shared the family style roast and although this was not cheap, it did not disappoint and was one of the best roast dinners I have had in a London restaurant. Portion size was very generous making it fair value for money after all. Serice and atmosphere were great as usual.
