Main course took ages to arrive but we received a 50% discount in recompense.
All great but delay for mains was too long for a business lunch.
Another excellent Jason Atherton restaurant- Great new addition. Great menu - enough choice for me as the lone vegetarian in a very meat based menu. My only grip was that the veggie main (gnocchi) was tiny (particularly in comparison to the meat mains). It was really a starter portion so make sure you order a large portion of you go (it was delicious!). Tables nicely spaced apart. Good buzzy vibe without being too loud. Great, convenient spot for City dining
On arriving at Temple & Sons we were able to be find a table to enjoy pre dinner drinks from the ground floor we were then shown to our table the food choice was ok but i had hoped for something a little more special however the food was good as was the service

menu didn't inspire - sandwiches for the main probably ok for lunch .. for dinner there was very little to choose from. Steak was ok. Small though. Service was welcoming. No suggestions food or drink wise were made. There was no atmosphere. Quiet place to have lunch yes. Wouldn't go back for dinner.
Hidden gem in the city of London for weekend brunch. I would highlight service and food.
French toast with honey covered bacon was to die for! English Breakfast and chorizo was also great.

Food was really excellent. Service was pleasant but pretty slow. Imagine it would be good for business meetings at lunchtime but the bar downstairs meant it was really noisy in the evening so definitely more of a date/dinner with friends kind of place in the evening.
Good set lunch menu. Only negative was the noise - music too loud, reverberating off the hard surfaces of the upstairs dining area.
I was really let down by the experience here, they got it wrong on so many levels it was unreal.
No atmosphere and A/C turned up to "freeze".
Disinterested staff, some with a poor command of English who genuinely struggled to communicate and understand our questions.
Poorly executed food, accompaniments which were unavailable, but were not communicated as such until the main courses arrived.
Confusion over drinks orders.
Desserts missing some key ingredients.
It goes on....Just a really really bad experience and not cheap either.

Brunch on a Saturday. I'm slightly alarmed that a fellow Lincolnshire lad (Atherton) would use such poncy terms as "brunch", but... these London ways, eh? ;-)
We were the only people there for the first 20 minutes, so it felt a bit dead, but the staff were lovely. I have a very low tolerance for piped music anywhere, but they had quite an intriguing 60s-90s pop/rock/soul playlist, on point for the 40-something with diverse tastes. Nice collection of concert posters (Led Zep, Pink Floyd, etc) in the bogs, too.
I've been to Maze and Pollen St Social in the past, and this seems to be part of a trend in Jason's restaurants, moving towards hearty nostalgic comfort food, in more and more casual surroundings. It works well for me. We were impressed by their own draught lager and bottled pale ale, and then had a main and side each from the brunch menu. All excellent... eggs royale were wonderfully creamy, the baked eggs & chorizo were deep and smoky, the wood fired mushrooms were possibly a tad leathery (but tasty) and the campfire beans were better than you could ever imagine baked beans tasting.
Wouldn't normally have a pudding with l(br)unch out, but couldn't resist a chocolate mousse with my coffee. Glad I did... holy crap, it's good. The bergamot parfait is a nice touch, and it's a tiny hint at the more "restauranty" tastes of Pollen St, etc.
Overall, not too expensive for a London restaurant owned by a star chef. I might have objected to the automatic service charge, but the service was very friendly and efficient, so it was deserved. Will be back again soon!

This was my 2nd visit to T&S, although still fantastic it did not live up to the heights of the first visit. The service was outstanding again, apart from a complete mess up with the bill (that was eventually corrected fairly) and food incredibly tasty. However, we, as a table of 3, had our orders go through as the 2 courses and a drink for £22 and having had the pancakes previously noticed that (2 of us ordered them) when they came out the portion size was significantly smaller. I didn't register this at the time as I wasn't at the table when it was brought over, so nothing was said as my friends had already eaten most of theirs, but the portion size was smaller and there was only 1 side of cream between 2 dishes, instead of 1 each. Seems a small thing to bring up, but I won't be partaking in the 2 for £22 deal again, especially as I didn't ask to this time anyway...
Everything else was superb, just wish it was a bit more popular as it would benefit from more of a buzz!
Good brunch menu. Portions a bit heavy but overall decent food and a good atmosphere.
A friendly place, hidden near the busy Liverpool street station. Original architecture, creative food and helpful staff. A very fast service. For young people especially.
very limited menu with only 2 options for each course and no vegetarian main option. I think Mussels for a main it not ideal especially as no bread or side served with them. the Burrata starter was gorgeous, and the Eton mess with Basil Icecream tasted of summer, I would return. great venue and friendly warm service
Belated birthday celebration for my best friend!
Arrived at 7pm, ordered a bottle of wine and some bread along with main courses. The wine arrived, followed by the bread some 40 minutes later. The waiter apologised, stating the delay was due to the restaurant being busy. It was half full....
The birthday boy ordered mussels, the resto had however run out, we were notified shortly before the bread arrived.
At 8.30 we chased up our main courses, they arrived shortly after. The chicken sandwich was lovely, however the brisket sandwich was fatty and rather unpleasant. We conveyed this to the waitress who smiled and said "oh good"
Three large bowls of chips arrived, far too much and at £6 a pop we would have shared had we known what to expect.
We must have been served by every member of staff working this shift. This led to lots of confusion and repetition of requests.
When asked if we wanted dessert we asked how long it would take, the restaurant was still not at full capacity, but the waiter shrugged his shoulders looked around and suggested 20 mins. We declined desserts and requested the bill.
The bill arrived and we suggested that the 12.5% service charge be removed given that the brisket sandwich was inedible and service patchy.
They happily deducted the charge, no apology nor interest in our reasons for this. We paid the bill and left.
Underwhelming, def not somewhere to celebrate a special occasion. We would have been better off in Burger & Lobster!
Cocktails were great - had two for one deal during happy hour. The food was very nice - the quality you would expect. Enjoyable evening!

Went for brunch at 12pm Saturday, a little quiet at that time, but we got a warm welcome and outstanding service throughout. The food was superb, possibly the best full English I've ever eaten, unbelievable attention to detail and even the playlist was faultless. Can't wait to go back.
The food and cocktails were great. Their staff were kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for decent food in central London
I've been twice and both times the service was impeccable and the food and drinks are great.
The restaurant was fairly quiet on the mid-week evening I went but service, although friendly, was not really on the ball. Our aperitif cocktails arrived after our starters; the vegetarian main course on the menu actually had a meat crumb (thankfully we checked but the information wasn't offered up on the menu or by the staff); the wine was left in a water and ice-filled cooler on the table with no cloth to wipe it on so it dripped every time you poured a glass; and our coffee arrived without any sugar and we had to ask twice before we got any - by which time our coffees were lukewarm.
In and of themselves, none of these things were a big deal but in combination, and in a competitive market - and at these not inconsiderable prices (even though this is the City and there are many more expensive places), it all added up to a rather underwhelming experience.
It's a shame because the desserts were really exceptional: definitely the best part of the whole experience. If you do decide to go, make sure you leave room!
We had a reservation for 4 people at 13:15 a couple of days ago. We arrived a few minutes early and sat down waiting for our 2 guest. We ordered a drink whilst we were waiting. Guest arrived just gone quarter past. We were asked again if we wanted a drink and repeated our order. Drinks arrived after 15 minutes. We proceeded to "try" to order. I say try as every time we flagged down a waiter the answer was "just give me a minute", once he said yes and walked off. We managed to order at 13:45. Bread to keep us tied over, some starters and a couple of large pieces of meat to share; and reordered some water for our guests which still hadn't arrived and some wine. 14:10 we are beginning to lose our patience as neither bread nor starters nor wine has arrived. 14:20, I pull the waiter over to let him know this isn't acceptable. He puts a rush order on the starters which arrive at 14:30; 1:15h after arriving at the restaurant. TBH the food was delicious. Main courses arrive at 15:00 (!). When asked if the food was good (we all agreed it was) the waiter says "worth the wait then"; unbelievable.
In the end the waiter volunteered to take the service off, which is the least to be honest but unfortunately I will not be coming back. I have been to most of Jason Atherton's Eateries in London and one does expect a certain standard...

Not as good as it used to be. We first visited when it opened and I raved about this place! The decor, the team, the food. It was really good!
Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant dinner last night.
They seem to have massive issues between front and back of house! We witnessed some unacceptable behaviours between the team. That destroyed the atmosphere. An open kitchen is great, but don't forget your guests are here!
The robusta grill is a fantastic grill but get your extraction sorted guys! All our clothes are ruined with a strong smoke smell.
The food was ok, but not as good as when we first came in November. The chips arrived 5 minutes after our steaks, and my mother had asked her steak to be served medium but served rare (well, it happens!). My lemon sole was really good.
I wanted to order cheese, but they only have 2 in their selection?!?! Without eating blue cheese, I was left with one; well....I skipped the cheese.
On a positive, the front of house team is absolutely lovely, I really felt for them! They are really trying to do their best facing a very chaotic and disrespectful kitchen.
Overall, will i rush to go back? No. Would I recommend? Neither.
