Great food, great service! Even though is was raining and we were inside we had a nice view of the lake.
While the food and venue was great, we were disappointed in Templeton Landing. Before we went, we checked out the menus online as we always do. Upon arriving though, we were told - albeit by our very nice server - that there were only 3 out of the 6 listed beers on tap, there were no specials, and that there were no frozen drinks (also on the menu) as they had started to shut that down for the season.
All of that said, the venue itself is really nice. Even though it was raining the waterfront view was great.
Our soups and entrees tasted great, and the service was solid.
After dinner, we were told that they only had 2 of the 6 desserts that were shown on the online menu, which was disappointing. At this point, it felt like they were doing us a favor by being open for us to dine there, with the less-than-stated beers, desserts, frozen drinks, and no specials. It wasn't a great feeling. I wonder if they're struggling.
Overall we are glad we went but won't be in a hurry to go back.
My boyfriends birthday
Waited too long to get a drink order taken(20+minutes). Just as long to get a poor drink. Bartender didn’t know how to make a good martini.
3 of 4 served dinner, took 10 minutes to learn 4th dinner they were out of.
Four of us had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. We started off on the patio. The chairs all had cobwebs under them and needed a good cleaning. It started to rain so we luckily ended up inside at a high top table near the bar. We each ordered a different cocktail. They were all good. I ordered the fish tacos and liked them. I requested a swap for the accompanying nachos to french fries. Although the waitress didn’t seem like it would be allowed, the French fries arrived with my tacos. The fries were really good. One of my friends ordered the nachos but didn’t eat many. The cheese on them was extremely salty and they were not very appetizing, although the platter was huge. We ordered one dessert, the key lime pie. It was excellent and we later learned that it was made at the Village Bake Shop in Lewiston. Overall, the food was good, but I’m not sure this is a place I’d go out of my way for a repeat visit. They have a wonderful patio with a lot of potential if only it was better cared for.
We had a nice time, sat outside by the water and enjoyed the entertainment by the fire. We would return.
Excellent broiled fish. Beautiful sunset view. Phenomenal music on the patio by Chris Borgatti and friends playing some oldies and my favorite DMB. Thank you for a memorable night.
Templeton Landing has a great view of the waterfront and is good in every respect except for the noise level, which is discouraging for folks with hearing problems.
9/10/19 - Dinner for 4. Beautiful evening on the terrace. Doesn’t get any better. What a night!
Enjoyed Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. I had oysters on the half shell. Very good. My wife had French Onion soup. Unfortunately it was cool, not piping hot as it should be served.
Drinks were good. Wine pours generous. We stuck with happy hour specials. All good.
Blacken Salmon fillet was excellent. Served with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. All excellent. Good portion.
Others had Cobb salad, beef on wick and a fish dish. All very good.
Dessert was carrot cake split 4 ways. Very good.
We will return.

Brought parents before a concert. Server was great
There were four of us dining there tonight and we were less than impressed. My husband and I were there 3 other times this summer and raved about it! This time, all 4 of our meals were over cooked and dry. I was a bit embarrassed since we raved about it to the other couple we were with. The service was also very slow on a pretty slow night. Overall, I wasn’t super happy to spend my birthday dinner here tonight. 😢
Templeton Landing is my favorite place to take out of towners!
Fun location on Lake Erie. Lots of outdoor seating with big open bar and live band. Very happening. Drinks weren’t cheap but not surprising I guess. Food was mediocre. My husband ordered the lobster tails and one was completely inedible - all mush. He was told they would get him another but it never came. Waitress totally overwhelmed. A manager finally took our credit card so we could pay and leave.
Average food with above-average service and ambiance.
Very nice, looking forward to going back.
Beautiful spot to eat outside on a nice evening! The water, boats and sunset were spectacular! Would recommend the flatbread and orange roughy.
Will definitely return!
Onion soup was lukewarm as was my wife’s steak and potatoes very pricey and 7.00 16 oz draft
We had lunch there today, and so far the best outdoor dining experience we have had in this area. The food and service was very good. It was quiet, pleasant and relaxing.
Reserved a table outside and when we got there the host informed us it would be a long wait, we took an indoor table. Then the food was nothing special. Heard good things but honestly wouldn’t ever go back ever.
Excellent food, had to wait for our reservation for a little while, had 5:15 reservations and didn't get seated until 5:35, then we waited another 15 to 20 minutes at our table before we finally had a waitress acknowledge that we were there, after that initial experience our visit was exceptional. I would definitely dine there again hoping that it was just an off night and not the norm.
Best waterfront venue in Buffalo. Food and service is above average but location, location, location.
A beautiful day to dine outdoors with good friends.
I was disappointed. The food was not that good. I ordered stuffed Eggplant, my Eggplant was not cooked, and the sauce was way too salty. My Sister and Niece both ordered Pasta, and both complained that it was not good. Noodles were hard, the sauce my niece said tasted like "Prego". My Sister (the birthday girl) said the only thing good was the shrimp. My daughter ordered a simple Burger, medium rare. It came back burnt.
Over all just disappointing. I guess you're paying for the location and the ambiance. The Waitress was very nice and friendly, however, the only thing that got high marks was the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Crab cakes, and Shrimp. If I go back, it will only be for drinks and maybe the Spinach appetizer. I won't waste my money again.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with lunch at Templeton Landing. The view from our window-side table was perfect; his salmon was the best we've ever eaten and the chocolate cake was a deliciously sweet finale. It remains his favorite restaurant.
Amazing night out for dinner
The views food service all made for a relaxing TGIF 🍹
Service was slow. Seemed to take awhile to get a bar drink. Cook burned the salmon and had to redo which delayed dinner. Waitress brought bread to the table to eat while waiting but no bread with the salad. Original table we sat at the mesh was broken and we feared if we leaned on the table we would go thru the table. We did ask to move to a different table.
Our entire experience was great. Our waiter Jake was on the ball and attended to our every need. Food cooked perfectly. The hostess Tenesha was very personable and friendly. Tony was on the ball and chatted nd answered any questions we had. Love it there and coming back soon. Chef Paul is outstanding!!!

Had a nice dinner with family from out of town. Was surprised to see an impossible burger, good food and nice to have vegetarian options!
Took mom for her 77th birthday- she enjoyed it immensely- the view, the food and the special fuss over her birthday- great night!
My first margarita was excellent. My second margarita took a very long time and had no salt and I tasted only syrup. It was very quickly made and very poorly. I couldn’t finish it.
Patio seating for lunch by the water proved to be the perfect setting to relax after an early flight to Buffalo. Crab cake appetizer and fish taco entree, although a pleasant meal by the busy marina, couldn’t compare competitively with delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie, recommended by a fine young server, Paris, that was humongous and beautiful. See the attached picture.
Lovely afternoon and lunch spent with my friend visiting from Florida. We sat on the patio, although piped in music was too loud, we had a great meal and great service.
The sites are BEAUTIFUL at the Landing. We were on the deck on the water- Hot Sun... slight breeze- gorgeous. The Food was excellent. Clams, Crab Cake, Lobster and Grilled Chicken. Price and Value we re both right on. Our server LESLIE B was phenomenal. She was timely, courteous, respectful, and truly represented the Landing exceptionally. WELL DONE all around! We will be back!
The food was very good. Our waiter, Paris, was lovely.
Food was fresh, our server was busy but pleasant and we had a very nice lunch.
Don’t be in a hurry to eat and leave. It takes time since it’s busy but we sat outside and enjoyed the view
Templeton Landing is a favorite summer restaurant.
Took over an hour to get our meal. The explanation was the computers went down and our order didn’t get placed. Server was pleasant and did a fine job. Overall experience was excellent. Good thing my wife and I were in no rush for our meal.
The view was fabulous. That was about it. We had drinks outside before our dinner. Once seated and our order taken we were basically ignored!
Views at Templeton Landing are wonderful! Right on Lake Erie, so picturesque! My hubby and I enjoyed a date night while in Buffalo for an Eastern Zone swim meet with one of our sons. We will return when in Buffalo again!
