The Covid 19 pandemic of 2020 has changed everything in the restaurant industry and we all need to change along with it.
Patrons are craving restaurant quality food products prepared by professionals for many different reasons. Some like it as a treat or as a date night, while others like to try foods prepared outside their comfort zone or simply have someone else cook for them. We are all different, no matter what your reason for dining out, we want to be your provider of choice.
With that in mind, we've created the first Grocerant in Charlottetown. No we didn't make the word up. Grocerants have been around for some time now and slowing making their way to the East coast as trends change.

This place should be lined out the door with customers waiting to get a table. It has to be one of the best places in Atlantic Canada to get a meal.

It was our first date night out in a year (wonderful little girl at home, but she means fewer dates), and it was exactly what we were looking for!
Great service, excellent meals, beautiful presentation and the perfect grown up atmosphere we've been missing.
Wonderful flatbread Margherita. The bone narrow was great.
The deser ( torte) was scrumptious.

We ate at Terra Rossa for our wedding anniversary. We started with sharing the charcuterie; it was all delicious, but we wish there had been more spreads/jellies on the board in addition to the tasty mustard. My husband had the Arctic char and Brussels Sprouts; the only complaint was that the fish skin was not crispy at all. Everything else on the plate was delicious. I had the mushroom ragout and practically licked my plate clean! He had a beer and I had red wine by the glass. We were diehard Terre Rouge fans before the restaurant changed hands/concepts and very much miss their creative cocktails. Please consider bringing them back!

Good variety of food selections, and really well prepared and very tasty. Prices reasonable and service was great, especially considering extra constraints at this time.
Terra Rossa is our favorite Charlottetown restaurant. Food and service always top notch. I wife has a couple of eating issues (GF & allergies) and they are always responsive to her needs and careful.
Hi there, appreciate that you asked for a review as we noticed before we went, that the reviews were not very favourable. I had the Arctic Char with vegetables and loved the vegetables along with the sauce reduction but found the fish very small, overcooked and definitely from frozen. My wife found her meal good as far as burgers go but noticed that the wine was expensive, definitely measured and there was no house wine at 5:30 on a Friday with a Liquor Store next door. I loved the focaccia bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar and appreciated the gift of warm olives as it was an Anniversary Celebration. Our waiter was not familiar with all of the dishes and missed a part of the meal and gave us the wrong bill at the end. I wished we would have had the female waiter as she was very upbeat and helpful ate the end. Hope this helps.
We were disappointed by the new menu and atmosphere since the transition from Terre Rouge to Terra Rossa. Terre Rouge was always busy and lively, Terra Rossa was almost completely empty on a Saturday night - unheard of for Terre Rouge. My friend could not get a cocktail, and was disappointed by the mushroom toast. My pasta dish was tasty, and I enjoyed my meal, but we both preferred Terre Rouge.
W went early because there were no reservations till after eight after that. Restaurant was nit full when we left shortly after seven. Waiter did no seem very knowledgeable about the menu. First we ordered the focaccia with oil and vinegar, then we decided on the cheese plate but asked if we could get a bit of oil and vinegar. Sure they said. Well, both items came so we sent the order of focaccia back as there was focaccia on the cheese plate, which we knew. Oh my god they charged us $2.50 for three tablespoons of oil and vinegar.
My entire, risotto and scallops while delicious was appetizer sized, come on about 2/3 cup rice and three scallops for $22. There’s maximum $4 product in that plate. Hubby’s pasta was good but nothing notable. All in all a very over priced meal at over $100

Went to Terra Rossa for lunch with a friend. We shared the Italian Melt and a scallop risotto - both were simply divine!!! The service was fast and friendly and the menu priced very reasonably, especially given the high quality of the food and ingredients. We will definitely be back!!!
Best restaurant in Atlantic Canada. I wish I lived closer.
