Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant
Tutto ottimo, dall'accoglienza ai primi e alla pizza. Consigliato.
Loved the octopus starter and the gnocchi main
Appena arrivato siamo stati accolti benissimo dallo staff. Ambiente molto curato.
Terra Rossa was something of a revelation, with wonderful home-cooked Puglian recipes, unusual combinations, and welcoming efficient service. We would definitely go back again, and would recommend highly to others. Incidentally, it has excellent choices for those needing to avoid gluten, including gluten-free beer!
Great little place and the staff is very attentive, but I agree the food is average. I had the carpaccio with tasted like pastrami and the pasta with meatballs was ‘ok’ , certainly I’d expected more.
We really enjoyed the food!
Genuine flavours, very approachable place, staff and ambiance.
Very recommended ❤️
We came to Terra Rossa after two and something hours of gruelling and spectacular theatre performance of Hunt at the Almeida. We needed a refreshing and more positive slant on the world and on people than the one around which the play takes place. Terra Rossa wa a perfect antidote to the tough judgement the play passes on people: it was jolly, airy with the loveliest waitress and a happy inn-keeper. The food was very good, we cleaned our plates down to the last drop of tasty sauce. Were it not for the late hours and the obvious yawns of the staff who were dying for their beds, we might still be there and talking.
Nice restaurant, but despite ordering all the food people have been raving about we found the quality of food very average. The parmigiana was tasteless and the meatballs was unimpressive, pizza was okay, but nothing special.
Perfect Italian, great service, great food, not fancy just honest Italian. Would defiantly come again.
Terra Rosa was the perfect Friday evening meal. An interesting menu and great set menu option also. Would love to visit again and try some other choices
Second time dining at Terra Rossa. Food was great both times and the staff were attentive and friendly. We were with an Italian who said both pizza and pasta were well made.
This is a little gem - pre-theatre meal so nice speedy service, although some people looked like they were in for a long, lazy supper. Excellent service, fantastic wine recommendation and the best meatballs ever - bravo!
Excellent service, friendly and accommodating staff, very good food indeed, would definitely come back!
Lovely and authentic Puglian food with excellent service. Waiter was happy to advise on the menu and accommodate our needs.
Lovely and authentic Italian restaurant. Excellent service, quality food.
Very good south Italian cuisine, true and original. Orecchiette home made, good products, nice and effective service. Recommended!
We ordered four pasta and they came with different temperature, two of them are piping hot, two of them are lukewarm. Presentation is very rustic and taste is just like home cooked and nothing special.
Service was a bit rushed and there was no music and it was really really light inside, makes you feel a bit exposed.
We had a large family meal and received excellent service, advice and outstanding food throughout our lunch. Everything was beautifully presented and the care and attention was exquisite. The decoration and atmosphere created a very Italian feel to the whole experience.
We will definitely be going back and have recommended Terra Rossa to friends and family.
What a jewel in Islington.
Rather limited and ideosyncratic menu... pizza was fine, other pasta dish looked unappealing and was a bit skimpy as a main course ( my companion ate half my Pizza)...
Staff very helpful and pleasant.
They turned some rather piecing music down when requested...
Physical environment pleasant.
Lovely meal with impeccable service. The burratta was sublime as was the mille feuille for dessert
Food was tasty with reasonable price!!
Friendly and attentive service. Lovey atmosphere!!
Great food, traditional ingredients and recipes, strongly recommended, appetizers in particular
This is the second time we have visited and we were incredibly impressed with the quality of the food
Food is just ok. Ravioli quite oily and so was the seafood risotto, which contained rather rubbery squid.
Good food and very helpful staff.
This is one of our new favourites on Upper Street.
We spent Valentine’s evening at Terra Rossa and couldn’t have chosen a better place for it.
The food was genuinely outstanding and a true representation of Puglian cuisine. The wild chicory was incredible and such a treat to have on the menu as it’s not easy to find in the U.K.
The service here is really excellent and all of the staff do so much to create a really great atmosphere. The focus is definitely on ensuring customers are happy and comfortable.
Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Terra Rossa and will certainly be booking another visit in again soon.
Lovely, friendly place, like Italians used to be. Prices very competitive.
Very good food, authentic and not too pretentious! Just very nice products! I also suggest to enjoy few glasses of Italian wine!!!
Nice menu but need a better chef. Pasta over cooked and sauce tasted preserved. The place is very pleasant and I wish them well but the food really does need to be better.
Excellent service, great food- large portions so we over ordered- ambience was quiet although this was a lunchtime so it wasn’t full. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant
We went to Terra Rossa Italian Restaurant just around the corner from the Almeida Theatre, so very convenient if you are going there. The food was genuinely good Italian--very fresh and quite delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Try the aubergine parmigiana for a starter--gorgeous!
Lovely Southern Italian food and wine. Nice atmosphere and staff. Convenient for Almeida Theatre.
We had to wait approximately 45 minutes for our starters to arrive, after enquiring several times.
Really jolly atmosphere! Make sure to order a starter as the main are quite small!
Nothing special. Service very slow and the restaurant was half empty with plenty of waiters.
THE only problem was regarding amex acceptance. On open table says is accepeted but they dont accept.
Great new Italian on Upper Street. Will definitely return!
A lovely find food was outstanding and service was just right
