A must visit when weather is nice. Great outdoor space overlooking the river.

Food was great. Service and bill left something to be desired. Service - was slow and notes were not taken/asked for while taking order. Menu item that requires clarity on choice of meats and spreads was not clarified and order did not come out with full variety of foods listed. Bill - 20% gratuity was automatically billed (for a party of two?!) and bill initially included a separate charge for something that was part of the entree ordered and was to be included in entree pricing.

Will visit again, but hopeful better service is experienced next time (and we’re made aware of automatic gratuity for a party of two).

We had planned for a very special evening and of all of the restaurants to choose from in the city we chose Terrace 16. We were disappointed by the Seafood platter as the lobster was very small almost non existent and for the price ($120) it should have been more food. Also our waitress was not very attentive and seemed a little clueless. We had to ask other wait staff to help at times as our sever was not around. Will probably not be back.

I understand the struggles of operating a business during CoVid.
We made our reservation a week in advance. The table was not ready.
No problem. We'll order a drink at the bar. Not allowed. The 4 seats were occupied.
No problem. I'll take the drinks outside on the patio. Not allowed.
Is this a state law. No, it's our policy.
We waited outside, sans the drink. Table was ready 20 minutes later.
There were only 5 entrées on the menu. 2 steaks, a fish, chicken and pasta. All pretty generic. Nothing like the photos on the website.
We ordered 2 steak. Can we add lobster? Sure $80. Ok we'll splurge. Out came a 1 lb lobster tail and 2 claws. For $80 ouch.
All and all. We were underwhelmed.

Terrace 16 is in an amazing location with breathtaking views. The food is amazing and prepared beautifully. The service was okay. We had a reservation for 6:30pm and when we arrived we were told there wasn’t a table available and they weren’t sure how long we would be waiting. Nonetheless, we were seated about 30 minutes later and enjoyed a great dinner with great drinks and a beautiful view.

The service is excellent. View is amazing! The brunch burger is the best in the city!

Not good. Our server was very nice and took care of us but We waited 35 minutes for our salad. Not sure what was going on In the kitchen. But don’t think the server was at fault. It wasn’t crowded at all. Great view and food.

Excellent service!!

Great location. We asked to go out on the terrace but it was closed. The otherwise very friendly manager volunteered to arrange for us to visit another terrace nearby belonging to another hotel. Nice touch. The mint julep was great. The cheese platter not what you get in a Paris restaurant though. Still generally a good value and taste proposition for dining out in America. We will return in April for that terrace! Au revoir!

Wonderful dinner with a beautiful view! We would definitely recommend.

Server wasn’t very attentive and I ordered a cold brew coffee once he brought it I asked for creamer and sugar never brought it didn’t even drink the coffee and was still charged on my bill. Had us tucked back in the corner. The girl who we tried to find our reservations with she was very rude because we were unsure what name we made it under as our group changed a few times. Service was just lacking I’ve been to the terrace 16 last summer and it was amazing now I am just highly disappointed spent $150 on a meal I would’ve rather ate somewhere else.

Came here for St. Patrick's Day with my sister. Perfect views of the city and the green river. Have been here a few times - never disappoints. Great service every time!

Our first time in Chicago, we de used to come here since the reviews are good and it was great, good food, good service, and great views.

The services was very slow. I booked at 4.30 by 5 i still have to wait for my table. Food also came out very slow too. I don’t think I will go back there again.

Great experience, unfortunately the outdoor terrace was closed due to COVID, but otherwise everything was delicious.

If you plan on a dinner- it will be a waste of time and money. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad- it was the worst I’ve ever eaten. Salmon entree looked like a radish soup, though we didn’t get a spoon for it. The place wasn’t clean, having drink marks on table at the entrance. The bathroom looked as it hasn’t been cleaned as well, trash bins full of garbage. Overall- we had great expectations and got highly disappointed. Food overpriced for the quality and service provided. Will go there only for rooftop drinks maybe.

We were there for a brunch on Sunday. The service was great, the food fantastic and the view is amazing. I do recommend it.

Food was okay. Waiter took our order and disappeared. Not very good service for the amount you pay. We went for breakfast.

It was my wife and I anniversary and wanted to make it a special dinner for my wife. The server didn’t know how to explain the description of the food correctly. I ordered the streak ribeye well done. When the server brought the food the whole plate was filled with blood and the steak was medium rare. I asked for salt & pepper shakers. The salt shaker was empty. I asked for 1 sprite and 1 coke it took more then 5 minutes.

Had to wait for a table for 20 minutes. We were seated at some corner room there, that wasn’t even a part of the main restaurant. It felt like we were seating at some closet. Horrible service. The waiter didn’t even stop by to refresh our glasses, we had to do it ourselves. We knew it will be overpriced and we went there just to enjoy the view, which didn’t happen. Very disappointed.

Service was good. Food and drinks underwhelming. I'd go back in smer for the view. But certainly wouldn't rush back for the food.

We went to celebrate my sons birthday. Food and drinks were perfect!

Very slow service.

It was a really good experience, all courses but the desert stood out. The desert although tasted well and had a lot of components, missed out on the presentation. It looks like a regular slice of chocolate cake.

Only one menu option due to Valentine’s Day weekend which was not advertised so therefore could only order drinks. In an hour window the sever only attended to is three times, first order and greeting, reorder and check. Would’ve liked to get more drinks is but staff was no where to be found

Absolute worst service. Went for Saturday Brunch arrived at 10am Was no busy . Was sat promptly , however server took minimum 20 mins to even say hello. Hostess had to bring me water. After ordering food took extremely long , finally the manager delivered my breakfast. He told me my toast would be right behind my meal. Well that never came, I had to ask than it came in it just two big slices on a plate with no butter and no jelly . To top it off it my meal was cold. So just terrible poor slow service . My server was an older Asian gentlemen and had no sense of urgency nor did he seem to particularly care about me. Possibly as I was a party of 1 either way no excuse ...
