   Afternoon Tea was not good …. One small pot of tea and no more. One lot of sandwiches which was not even equivalent of 2 slices of bread. No more offered. Random halves or quarters of cakes and one small scone with jam & cream … very disappointing and not worth the £16 paid

   We had a beautiful meal last night at the Terrace. Even better was that 2 courses and a large glass of wine was £39.99 for 2 people. Great staff, lovely decor and warm ambience.

   This is the first time I have eaten in the Terrace Restaurant & I enjoyed it. The staff were lovely & very accommodating. I follow a paleo diet so asked to swap chips for caprese salad. A great swap because the salad was delicious. There was a nice atmosphere. Tables are well spaced out. It’s suit conditioned. There was some background music & I had the best cappuccino I’ve ever had. I usually find them too dry & strong.

   Staff do not look or act very professional, one lady was in jeans the evening before (we stayed in hotel two nights and were able to get a table easily with only one other table occupied). A bottle of wine was not served just dumped on the table with the metal cap still on. One dish has not been available for months but still on the rather limited menu, a dessert was not available both nights. An outside door was constantly being opened all evening after we requested it be closed because it was not warm. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends and it did not feel special at all. Bar service not much better, did not know what a white wine spritzer was and were going to charge cocktail prices. Have had better service in a pub restaurant.

   The service at the hotel was outstanding, we picked the food off a 3 course set menu, we both had different things so we could compare. The food was cook perfectly and high quality ingredients. We have been many times to the crown plaza hotel and we are always happy with the service

    Booked for afternoon tea, very disappointed with selection and not even served on a stand just all put on a large platter on top of each other… very dull and dated area with need of brightening up.

    The service was very good, we were well looked after. We reqlly enjoyed the food, especially we ordered the rib eye steak which was cooked according to our request. It was very tasty and would be very happy to return to the restaurant, even better with the 50% discount!!

    Food was great, restaurant very clean, and service was quick. However, was let down by 2 staff, the old bat at reception who looked very miserable and we had to wait for 25 minutes to pay the bill as they were short staffed.

    My wife and I ate in the Terrace Restaurant whilst staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The menu has plenty of choice. The food was served promptly, efficiently and politely and each of the dishes we had were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The bill for three courses with drinks came to just £70, which was very good value for money.

    Staff need training. Food was lousy. Fish was out of a box and chips were over cooked. Peas were runny and tasted dreadful.

    Great meal at Crowne Plaza Solihull. The server was super friendly and they even gave us a card for our anniversary. Meal was lovely and quick. The location was great as you got some of the ambience spilling through from the bar area but it was still intimate.

    The service was extremely slow and we felt we were a nuisance being in their Resturant. Waited over 25 minutes for a menu despite we were one of only 5 tables occupied.

    This was our first visit to Crowne Plaza in Solihull and were impressed. The afternoon tea was very good and would recommend it to anyone who wanted something a little special or just something good.

    Great atmosphere and location. Picked set menu, which consisted of selected items from the full menu. This made it very good value. However, we found the meals themselves were a bit bland. Service was good to start with, but became very slow towards the end. So much so, that, despite trying to order, we left without desert and coffee. Would still recommend when staying at the wonderful hotel, but with the above caution.

    First impressions were positive and we were greeted by very friendly reception staff. We arrived on a day full of showers and sunshine and were having to dine alfresco due to COVID regulations. The restaurant staff could not have been more helpful in seating us under a parasol, providing blankets etc. There were occasions when they endured pouring rain to serve us, but it was always with a smile. The food was very good and the outlook was pretty and quiet, overlooking a pond area. I would highly recommend here if you want good food, exceptional, friendly service and an escape from the busier central Solihull venues.

    Had a lovely afternoon tea on the terrace. Food was very good quality, very impressed for the price. Service was excellent and we were lucky enough to be able to move to a covered table when the rain set in. I will certainly be back.

    Initial service great, served drinks quickly but then felt a bit forgotten. And couldn’t catch staff members eye. Weren’t offered food menus, had to ask an hour after we arrived. So then ate much later than we would have liked. Food was good and generous portions. Just little tweaks in service (like more regular checks on guests) and would give 5*. Was quiet for a Friday evening but nice atmosphere and friendly polite staff.
