Great first visit with a group of work colleagues. Everyone of us rated it as a place to definitely go back to.

My wife and I had a great meal here of steaks with prawns, chilli chips and corn on the side. All beautifully cooked and well presented. The ‘hot rock’ table cooker certainly added to the great atmosphere as well as the cowboy hats and bar saddles.
Our table waiter ‘The Sheriff’, was an energetic chap who certainly knew how to give good customer service and was very entertaining.
We couldn’t fault the meal and will definitely book again

Really pleasant experience. Food was fantastic and great value. I particularly enjoyed the French martini I had with my meal - delicious but deadly! Would definitely return.

Can’t fault the place, staff are friendly and the food is great. Maybe on the pricey side but the pros out way the price. Overall it’s a really nice place to eat that’s a bit different from the norm

Had a fabulous brunch from the Sunday Breakfast menu - my friends and o had huge baked omelettes , my husband had steak and eggs and other friend a waffles with bacon .
Huge portions we all struggled to finish served with charm and good humour . Pedro Sheriff and his team are great .

I had heard a lot about Texas rocks in Yeovil over the last year, albeit most felt overpriced. Anyway for our wedding anniversary we felt we would dine there. I booked on line requesting standard seating.
We arrived on time only to be shown to 'high seating' We felt very uncomfortable on stools and that being 6ft 4 I would have been uncomfortable bending over to eat my food. I said I booked a 'normal table' I was told 'there aren't any and the girl walked away. When she walked back, I said we're leaving, I was then told to 'hang on' she will look. 10 mins later we were shown to a very small table that was at the corner of the stairs leading to the toilets downstairs with this and staff going up and downstairs, people passing our table, brushing into us we both felt unhappy it was like being on a 'motorway'. We asked for drinks, which arrived 12 mins later, but OK their busy. I could see my Guinness sat on the bar for a while with people talking over it. I noted it to be around 3/4 full. I was told, after I asked where are drinks were that it was something poured, that was right. Explained that's not how a Guinness is served but hey, I needed a drink by now. Food arrived a while later, lot smaller than we expected for the price we paid, I though American type bars gave Big portions!!. I ate it anyway as by now was hungry-steak was was quite tough.
At one point staff opened the front door to let smoke out from people cooking their own meal at the table, fine if it were a bigger place. My wife got quite cold having to ask they close the door. Getting a nothing drink too sometime. I'm sure on other days, when its quieter we may have had a better experience. Based on our experience it would be difficult for us to recommend TR, sorry.

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and great American food. A real taste of America right in the middle of Yeovil. I would go as far as to say best restaurant in town!

Put on a table that looked like a bar stool and told no tables available all evening...2 booths stayed empty our whole visit.

Our server acted like her job was torture.

Medium rare steak came out cremated and tasteless, by the time they had replaced the meal which only happened once I walked across the restaurant to deal with miserable staff, my meal was half gone so had to be kept warm under heat tray which dried it out.

The new chips and onions were so greasy they actually gave both of us an upset stomach for nearly 2 days after.

The only thing nice there was the manager, he seemed like he felt bad for the state of the food but by then our evening was ruined
