TGI FRIDAYS - Brooklyn (NY)
We had a 2 birthday party and had a nice private room with large circle table. The food was pretty good. The service was good at the beginning and at the end, but in the middle we had a huge gap between appetizers and main course that we started yawning and stuff
Took too long to receive food
It’s just not the FRIDAYS like it used to be, just too unprofessional and rundown.
My wife and I always love TGIF; we visit frequently. Our server Wiz is excellent, so warm, polite and courteous. We love her and love TGIF. We have been coming to TGIF for years and were sad when it closed from the storm. TGIF EXCELLENT☺😄
Nice and clean and very tasty
Admittedly there was a lot of people. Primarily because alot of kids graduated that day including mine so there was a bit over crowding at the door . However the food came our great was extremely delicious & the server was very polite even though I expected him to be flustered by so many tables , he never flinched.
No staff available for a major crowd of graduates and family. They did not schedule in advance for the afternoon rush. Finally staff started arriving and all went well.
We loved the service at the bar and the hostess! However, we waited for 1 hour after we were seated
Unfortunately, my party was forgotten about most of the night. No one cleared our plates from the table. It took a long time to get our food. And when we did get our food, it was cold. Some of the sides were forgotten and my aunt's order was forgotten about completely. Our waitress, though she was sweet, is a cog in a broken machine. No management on staff, short staffed all together. Our reservation was 5:30, we did not leave until 8:45. That is ridiculous. The coffee machine was broken. So much went wrong. I have gone to your restaurant for years and it seems like since you've made changes, they are for the worst. You should focus on timely, better service and forget about the trendy ambiance you are trying to create.
Nearly an hour to get entrees, even though it was not busy. Once entrees came, my order which was simply steak with side of broccoli came out with a fried shrimp in the middle of the dish under the broccoli and on the steak. I let the manager know that I had a food allergy. When I asked the manager how this could happen as the broccoli is steamed and the steak is grilled, how could a fried shrimp just wind up there? His response was that “well a lot of people order shrimp with their steak.” He should have shown more empathy and considering how many food allergies people have should not have tried giving such a poor excuse. I did not get a replacement dish and it was removed from the check, but I feel as though there was no finesse, client care or any sort of appeasement. It really was the bare minimum effort on their end.

The food was disgusting and cold. Our waiter was rude and didn’t even ask if we needed anything. No silverware. No noisy. Never come back to this hell hole again!!
I usually enjoy dining at TGIF. However this visit I made a reservation for 7:30pm making sure to call and confirm before arriving. I arrived at 7:10pm and checked in. I sat until 7:40 before asking the hostess how much longer it would be. I was told “whenever we call your name” not once but twice😳!! Meanwhile people arrived after me and were seated before me😞. A manager was asked for and shortly after we were seated. We saw a manager passing by and our dissatisfaction was voiced. I have to say she was apologetic and offered free appetizers which was appreciated. I understand that the reservation option is fairly new, however the way I was treated by the hostess was unacceptable and she should be retrained on appropriate customer service. Once this issue was resolved, all went well. It was not a good way to start off an evening though!!
Beacon cheeses burger medium rare not prepared properly my wife coleslaw bland no flavor 40min wait for food the highlight of the night was our server Ms.Jessica she was great. in assisting our complaints and needs
Birthday.. the server was nice but overall Friday’s needs more waiters/waitresses.
Dirty dishes. Slow service. We had a movie to see so we couldn’t complain and wait longer than we already waited.
My son ordered from the kids menu. Pasta with marinara. Super simple. They first brought him pasta without sauce so we had it sent back. 15 minutes later when most of us were finishing our meals, they brought pasta alfredo. I explained to the server that he ordered marinara, not alfredo. He brought it back to the kitchen and they poured marinara sauce over the pasta alfredo and served that to my child. I showed the server who told the Manager. The Manager did not apologize at all, just said that he'll take the price of the meal (about $6) off of the check.
The food was good. The service was not that good. Very noisy. And expensive
My family went there to have lunch before we went to the movies. The waitress dropped 2 glasses of water on my grandson. The hostess did not come to the table to see if she could help in any way, she was too busy texting on her cell phone. My husband had to take my grandson into the bathroom to try to dry his clothes. We had to ask to have our table changed, when they finally sent someone to mop up the water. The only reason we stayed and had lunch was because we had already purchased movie tickets. If we left to find another restaurant we would have missed the movie. Terrible experience.
The food was not the best. I ordered a jack daniels burger and they didn't make the burger correctly. The food isn't the greatest at this location but its the only one in our area. The waitress was nice and made the experience manageable.

The worst service I ever received. Short staff and service was horrible we finish our food before we received our drinks.

The customer service is not good. I told the hostess that I made a reservation online. She said ok I will remember you. Your next. That day other parties first. I went back to her and she was like what’s your name. I was like you told me you didn’t want it because you would remember. They lack waiters so you have to wait a long time to order and get your food. We ordered drinks. We was almost done with our meal by the time we got them. We ordered them before we ordered our food. They need to retrain their employees.
They sat us right away but we had to wait a while for someone to take our order. We received our drinks right away (that were delicious) but our apps were never received. We only ordered apps because we weren’t that hungry but they had to put the order in again because our order was given to another table. After waiting and noticing others received their meal. We asked the waitress. She was aware of the mixup and put in the order again. She also said she’ll speak to the manager. But when the bill came there wasn’t any kind of adjustment on there.
The apps came out one by one. We ordered the chicken quesadillas and the whiskey sliders. The quesadillas were delicious but the sliders weren’t. We received plain sliders with cheese instead of the whiskey sliders that should have come with onions, chipotle mayo etc...
There was no time to complain because we had to rush to make our 9:10 movie. Our reservations were for 7:30 so we were there with plenty of time to not rush if everything went smoothly.
This location is always like this. It was disappointing regarding the whiskey sliders being plain sliders.. But we rarely come here and I’m this reminded me of why. This location is always crowded because of the theater.
The worst dinner ever.
Cocktails were served in dirty glasses, we refused do drink them so waitress took them back. Well at least lets pray so foods gonna be fine, right? No. It was bad in so many different levels that I am having trouble writing this review. If Terrible service, wired and cold ambiance, dirty, not cleaned tables surrounding us were screaming leave now, we decided to stay. So we got what we have deserved raw, frozen steak and microwaved and overcooked simply "grilled" salmon garnished with again microwaved broccoli with the side of again microwaved mashed potatoes. We went to the grocery store next to the movie theatre and had sandwiches and coffee instead. AVOID at all cost. Starv yourself but do yourself a favor do not go there.
Service is always terrible. Never enough staff. Food is always good that’s why I keep going back.
Wasn’t pleased. First, the open table reservation was not recognized. So the reservation didn’t go through. The drink order was not to the liking. The food order was messed up. Twice we had to send back the order to be re-done.
Waited extremely long for appetizers and when it finally came out our main course came out right after our table was so full that the waiter put a meal at the end and it flipped over on the floor which happened to be my five year old daughters dinner then her tiny hamburgers came out a half hour later and she was already full from my husband’s French fries. Also I ordered a guacamole and the waitress brought it to me and it was brown and old not sure why she even gave it to me, would she had ate it? Then why would I? Also no one cleans off tables. There was a table next to us dirty after the guest left. The table sat there for an hour probably more because we left. Also we had appetizers plates and old glasses left making the table cluttered. If we order a drink the old glasses should be picked up. Where’s any buss boys. The waitresses barely checked on us. Then gives us a receipt so then where do I place my credit card if there’s no receipt book to put it in so now I got to watch her walk around the room with my credit card which made me feel uncomfortable. The place is re done and looks nice so where’s the guest? Place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Now I know why. Oh and the host wasn’t so friendly. Isn’t that why a host is a host, to greet people? I went to go follow her and she said no wait I got to find you a table. I’m confused the place was empty. Probably won’t be visiting ever again.

The waitress was really nice . But after that food was bad , super oily, fries were hard and cold . I had to return my beer and my salad due to the chicken being slimy. About the place itself was dirty and had a specific smell that I don’t know where it was coming from. I ended up not eating and only staying because my brother wanted to stay .
It was my daughter's 10th birthday and it was such a pleasant experience which culminating into her being sung to by the staff with an ice cream sundae. On our bill it said Happy Birthday and God Bless You which was very sweet!
