TGI FRIDAYS - Burlington
TGI Fridays is always a great place to get a solid meal for a square price. Some experiences are better than others but all in all, it is worth it.
Sorry to say Friday’s has really gone downhill. We used to frequent this restaurant but our experiences over the past year have been horrible. Bad service, poor quality food and lacking cleanliness. Something needs to be done to bring this chain back to the quality it once had.
There was no hostess present, so our party of 5 stood in the entranceway for 15 minutes waiting for service. They did not prepare for our reservation and did not check me in from opentable. Our server was putting forth the effort but it was her third day and they sat her a 12 top plus our 5 top. Food was very good but there were several mistakes, on top of being slow to arrive. Corrections were also slow. The birthday note made with our reservation was not recognized. Overall, the event was a failure, it took much longer than anticipated and we opted to not have drinks due to the long delays.
Our waitress was not attentive, the facility seemed not the cleanest, trash on the floor, the drinks took long.
I choose this Fridays location off of your OpenTable website, but when I got there they informed me
that they no longer are associated with OpenTable and have not been for a long time due to Corporate.
When the subject first came up about OpenTable the associate was a little snappy about it. They did try
to accommodate me with assistance from an assistant manager. Please take this location off your website.
We arrived and was turned away. We were told that the restaurant was without staff, there were no cooks
or wait staff only the manager. Very disappointed it was my daughter’s birthday and she was looking forward of having dinner there..😞
I think they should be dropped from open table. I actually expected to receive a no show email. No hostess without a wait and when she finally appeared, she knew nothing about Open Table reservations and the restaurant had no computer at which to mark that an open table guest showed up. The quality of service and standard of food is below most open table restaurants.
TGIF has several vegan options. Hopefully the salad options will include no meat or nuts one day.
It took a while for our waitress to come to our table initially. She seemed a little overwhelmed but got the job done. The food was good and fresh. I will try again but won’t refer anyone unless I see improvement.
Waited a while to be sorted when we had a reservation. Then waited a while for a server to acknowledge us. Ordered an appetizer and our food. Pretzels cake out cold and to top it off our main entrees cake out seconds behind it. We ordered loaded fries didn’t get those either. Asked to speak to a manager. Waited 15 minutes for him to come to our table. Explained that I was not happy and just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave. He then took another 10 minutes to bring me my bill for the two drinks we ordered. It was a terrible experience and we will not be back. As a manger myself I would have atleast offered some solutions where he did absolutely nothing. I strongly recommend avoiding this Friday’s.
They dont take reservations. Would not honor the open table . And was told "Just gonna hafta wait"
Food was ok at best.
Service was very slow. Restaurant was not crowded as it was around 2PM. We waited almost 15 minutes before any one even took beverage order. Then someone took beverage, appetizer, and entree order all at once. Several times we were asked if we needed anything and always waited a long time for them. This is not the first time this has happened at this particular location. We will not be returning.
There were ants all over our table and menus! BYE!!! Manager offered to move us but who wants to eat where you know has ants.....much less see the ants.
It's not a reservation. I booked a reservation for a group of 19, and was pleased to do it online. When our number changed, I tried to alter the reservation online, but I couldn't. I called the day before our get-together, but the restaurant was closed all day, (Bad weather) no answering machine. When I arrived, the hostess said that they do not accept reservations, so we had to wait for our tables to be set up. Setting up was fast, but if it had been even half an hour later, it would have been impossible to seat our group together.
The rest of the experience lived up to my expectations. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and did an adequate job, and the food was tasty and served at appropriate temperatures.
The service was bad. When we arrived with a reservation, the hostess told us there would be a 15-20 min wait. The restaurant was only 20% filled. I asked why and she said, they didn’t have enough servers. The same thing happened last time.
Once we got seated, Our server was nice and polite, and did a decent job.
It was boring, no atmosphere. The RSVP process was very laissez faire and the server complained that we were there so long, though we were still buying drinks and food. And wasn't even packed.
I don't normally write negative reviews as I feel is just spreads negativity. But I had to on this one. We had reservations at 6:45. We sat down right on time. No one came to greet us or give us silverware. At 7:05 we went to the hostess to let her know what was going on and she said she would send someone over right away. I could see that other tables around us had not been greeted either. I assume some staff had called out of work. But regardless, we waited another 10 minutes, until 7:15. At that point, we had been seated for 30 minutes and no one came to even give us water or silverware. We got up and walked out. And this is the first time we have ever left a restaurant before. We went to Applebee's a block down the street and had a delicious dinner with great service.
Awful!!! Were seated promptly, waited 5-10 minutes before waiter came. Waiter took only drink order. Non alcoholic bevs came fast beers took 15 minutes. Waiter finally took order. Apps never came and food took 45 minutes. One order was wrong (plain burger) and it took another 30-35 minutes for replacement. During all this waiting, never once asked if refills were needed. Good thing is once the last burger came out we asked for check right away. That was the only thing we got fast. Aweful aweful aweful!
Good place to satisfy all ages food preferences. Very accommodating; 4 year old granddaughter wanted avocado & staff got it for her. Kids meals are not very healthy at most restaurants. Great to find a chain that tries to meet customer requests
Waited over an hour to receive food and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were a party of twelve celebrating Father's Day. Everyone who ordered steak said it was tough but had a good flavor.
My self and 6 other people had to stand at hostess stand for 8 mins until someone showed up to seat us. Service was poor. They made people wait for a table about 25 mins, even though there were 6-8 empty tables.
