The 3 Brewers- Yonge St
Perfect location - lots of food selection - casual ambiance
Had to wait an extended period of time for cutlery when food had already arrived. So busy that our server did not serve us drinks/water for almost 20min after being seated
Liked the 45 min guarantee - as getting back to the office on time was important for some of us. Also liked the set menu options- great value
Food quality is definitely an area to improve. Other than that, it was great experience
Wanted a place to celebrate my birthday, have a few beers and bring my toddler. Great choice.
Overall everything was just okay. There was some confusion at the host stand when we arrived, they initially seated us at a table for another group. Then it took probably close to ten minutes to be greeted by our server, so a little slow to start. But after that he was great, attentive but not intrusive.
The food was mediocre at best. I think the best thing was probably the burger based on my father-in-law’s feedback. The mussels weren’t great quality seafood (tasted like previously frozen) but the sauce was tasty. The Moroccan salad was tasteless and soggy though, and the “carrot salad” ended up being essentially a few bits of shredded carrot tossed in with basic salad greens. There were only four small shrimp for the protein. One universal hit was the soft pretzel, which was served hot and fresh.
The bar music got turned all the way up shortly after we arrived, making it too loud for comfortable conversation at only 5:30pm. I completely understand trying to set a certain ambience, but it was a bit much even for those of us in our thirties.
Cheap wine was a plus! Not that you would go for the wine. But the drink prices overall were good.
I wouldn’t go back based on the food being a disappointment, but again, nothing wrong with the service.
Great place, nice food and beers
While I said yes, the true answer is maybe. Depending on who I was to advise. The food was great.
Our server, while new to the restaurant (3 days) was great, attentive, and she did her best to know the menu. The noise, however, was horrendous. I like how you said "Energetic" instead of "so loud you can't hear your table-mate". I guess if you know that going in then your opinion of it would be different. For a Tuesday early dinner we found it noisy. I can't even imagine what it would be like if the second floor were full of people too.
The food was great so that saved the experience for us.
Far too much noise. Some was from inside - customers and radio; the worst was from the street as there was no closed window/ wall to the exterior of the room.
I requested tap water immediately on arrival and finally, after 30 minutes, a bottle of Evian water was provided; I accepted ( and paid for) it because I did not want to wait for another 30 minutes to finally get some.
The service was awful! First, we had to ask the waiter three times for a glass of water. Then when they brought out our main courses they only had 4 out of 5 entrees. They told us the last one would be out in a few minutes but it did not arrive. We had to track down another waiter because ours never came back and by the time they finally brought the last entree it had been almost half an hour and everyone else at the table had finished their meal. They apologized and said we would get the entree free of charge. Then it took us another 15-20 minutes to find the waiter to order dessert, and we had to wave him down again for the cheque - and to top it off he forgot to remove the late entree when he gave us the bill. The food was delicious - but you need lots of patience and free time if you want to eat here.
Fab Service. Everyone enjoyed their beer and meals.
Loved it will definitely be back, beer was tasty, food delicious and reasonably priced... Enjoyed it.
Obviously there is a privileged way of booking a table, through direct calling. This other way will enable you to make specific requests like preferred seating next to the window.
When we arrived, we asked for an available table if 4 and were said it was reserved for another customer. This option was not proposed through opentable.
We were then seated almost alone upstairs. By the way, the other customer never came and we were not proposed to move.
Poor management and mainly inexperienced employees.
Excellent service. Nice ambiance upstairs for a team dinner, allowing conversation without alot of noise. Excellent pretzel and beer cheese, and the beer batter cod was so fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back.
The service was not good and the food was not fresh.
Server very attentive and got us to show on time. No concerns
Reception was good and our waiter was pleasant. The staff serving food that had been ordered seemed to be confused about what tables the food was meant for. Not sure if we were there on a night a number of new hires were working? Our pizza arrived and as my friend and I each had a piece in our hand the waiter came over and told us the wrong pizza had been delivered to our table. A table just over from us had our pizza and the waiter took the pizza we were given over to their table (just as one of the guests had taken a piece). The waiter switched the pizzas. In fairness, he did offer to order us another pizza but time was short for us so we accepted the pizza that had been at the other table. Our meal was ok but not nothing was great enough to return.
stopped in for dinner before the theatre with my 92yr. old Mum, my sister, neice and myself. We were very impressed with the service and food. Great craft beer. A little noisy, but could hear each other without yelling. The menu offered a nice variety and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back.
Our restaurant of choice pre theatre. The food and service is consistently good and the craft beer always cold and enjoyable. The music is not too loud so you can have a good conversation without raising your voice.
I enjoyed my experience at 3 Brewers on Yonge St. I liked the rustic atmosphere. Staff was friendly and prompt. They even gave samples of the beer they brew there so that I was able to order the one I liked most. Price was good and so was the food. My only complaint about the food was that the small piece of corn on the cob was cold. I mean it was cold to the core so maybe it was meant to be served that way? It tasted good and I was hungry, so I ate it, but I would have preferred it be warm.
Always love the food
We were looking for a place to eat after a matinee at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, mainly to let the traffic ease for the drive back to Mississauga. The 3 Brewers was close, had good reviews, and prices were reasonable. We were not disappointed! The service was prompt, fun, and friendly. We 5 seniors shared 3 different flammekeuches, some blonde beer, and great conversation.
Highly recommended restaurant!
Server, attentive. Music is too loud. Good price for drinks and food was hot. Will be back.
Delayed by traffic we rushed in heading to a matinee less than 1 hour later! Our reserved seats had been held for us = THANK YOU! Our orders arrived in record. We finished with time to get to the show. You folks are a class act!
The meal started off disappointing because they don't serve their Beyond Burger outside of lunch, so we ordered different burgers. The fries were extremely cold and had to be sent back. It took almost 15 minutes for the fries to be brought back to us, so we couldn't enjoy them with our burger (or else our burgers would have been cold by then!) ... The service was also quite slow. Overall, pretty poor dining experience and I won't be returning.
We usually choose this restaurant when seeing a show next door! Always good food and a good value!
We had a few issues that were remedied by the manager (taken off bill) who was very apologetic. Seats were a little difficult to get in to and it was a very long walk to the bathroom (would likely be an issue for mobility). Limited variety for food and especially for dietary issues. A little too loud but overall not a horrible experience
Although with a reservation, was given a small table for 5 people. Other than that, service and food was good.
The food was quite good and nicely presented.
The location is perfect for a meal before or after attending the theatre.
Loved the food and the service here. Beware of the washrooms, though! It is a long trek up a few flights of stairs to find them. We enjoyed the flatbread pizza and the balsamic grilled steak. The in-house beer is awesome.
Food was tasty with ample sized servings. Service was truly excellent. Very very noisy. Washrooms on the 2nd floor so definitely not accessible.
Lovely night for our daughter’s birthday dinner. Food was great as well as the ambiance! Thanks for a great night!
The female server who was serving food was not at all polite.
All was good, it was just very loud, tough to have conversations with friends
mediocre but expensive food . waitress got drinks mixed up and gave my 14-year-old an alcoholic cocktail.
The server was very good. My wife thought his accent was hot. The food was good and there was good value. The only issue was that we did not get a high top table we had booked.
The menu seemed to be limited in comparison to our last visit and Portions were small .
So fun, great food, service and ambiance. Super close to the theatre!
