The Alehouse Columbia
Lightly battered and fried, tossed in spicy Thai chili sauce
A half-pound of thinly shaved prime rib topped with melted Swiss cheese served on a hoagie roll with tiger sauce; au jus on the side
Food was horrible. Too salty for me. Took a while for the server to even ask about drinks. Everyone else around me was being served.
Food was mediocre. Soup was very salty and cold. The plate the wings was served on looked dirty and unappetizing. Gnats and other insects were flying around while we are. Server (MIA) was inattentive and seemed annoyed. We will never visit this restaurant again.
Service was prompt and server was friendly and responsive. Food was great, beer was outstanding!
We enjoy dining at the Ale House. Family loves the Crab dip for starters.
Great to have a local patio open. Felt clean, safe and friendly. And the beer and food is great as always.
This place is awesome! The food was delicious and the drink menu was great. Such a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Our first time eating out in months. Social distancing and cleanliness were clearly a part of their re-opening. Manager came and spoke with us. The server was attentive and knowledgeable of craft beers. Will definitely go again.
Father’s Day brunch
Fun place to go to for brunch. The shrimp and grits, BABEC and fried Oreos are really good.
Excellent job by the Ale House to accommodate guests in the phase 3 environment with extra outdoor seating.
We had a great dinner outside. Felt very safe there.
Outside tables were pretty full, so sat inside. Tables were spaced well apart. Waiter was knowledgeable about beers. Ordered the fish and chips and Korean fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries which were waffle fries and crisper than expected. Enjoyed the pineapple cider and coffee stout. Pleasant dining out experience, our first in four months due to the shutdown.
It didn't seem that the restaurant had sufficient staff to keep service timely, attentive, and careful. There were long delays and my food (crab & bacon mac & cheese) was not prepared accurately. Once it was corrected, the food was delicious, as were the dishes ordered by the other guests in my party.
Food was delicious. Staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Never had any issues!
Arrived for 1pm reservation, and we were told that there would be a wait. Checked in again at 1:25 and were told that there were 4 groups ahead of us. I mentioned the reservation and was told by the hostess and the assistant manager it was because “open table is making reservations for tables that aren’t available”. I explained that I’ve been using OpenTable for years and that has never happened, but they were adamant that “this is open tables fault”.
Food is good, but service was exceptionally slow. They said that the kitchen was backed up (at least they didn’t blame that on OpenTable).
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but the management has changed a couple of times and each time it’s gotten worse. Very sad to see a great restaurant go downhill so quickly.
Had a wonderful brunch outside on the patio. Our server was amazing and the food was good.
Wonderful food and service. This was my first time going and I want to go back and try some more of the great food!
Teddy was cool and attentive also was Sammy his trainee
Perfect for outside dining during this time! Great service, great food and the environment was terrific.
Excellent preparation for social distancing and maintaining clean environment!
Dinner was delicious and the view outside was great. Definitely going again.
First venture to eat and we sat outside. Food was stellar and we enjoyed our meal. Sweet Potato fries were perfect!
It was great to finally be able to go out for dinner. Full menu was available.
It was nice for a quick bite on a warm COVID night. The service was on point and their outside tent setup was spacious. Would definitely visit again.
Birthday lunch and we had excellent customer service.
They had just opened up to outside dining after the shut down. Everyone was very friendly and the hostess made sure everything was VERY clean. She was wiping down everything (menus, tables, chairs, etc) I was afraid it would be strange with everyone in masks but it wasn't. Warm people and great food.
Fantastic experience overall!
Outdoor dining was nice. Staff respectful given the situation.
Everything was great. We have no complaints. Thank you
Great to get outside again. Great Cuban sandwich and excellent Brussels sprouts.
Great food and Great Service! Looking forward to going back again!!!
Alehouse was very busy on Saturday night so we had a little wait for our reservation. Service was great though - friendly, relaxed and timely. The food was great - a mushroom flatbread and chopped salad. Very enjoyable evening.
Fine, bathrooms not clean and table felt sticky and dirty - menus were sticky with food on them
I love the ale house. Their beer selection is typically outstanding as is the food. I have it 4 stars for the last trip as I wasn’t thrilled with my meal but it is the only one I have had over dozens of trips that I didn’t like. It was a mango shrimp Cobb with an overly sweet dressing that I couldn’t use. Hence it was boring. My companion had the buffalo flat bread which was terrific. Their tacos are good and the special meal they had during restaurant week was outstanding. Overall, I generally have to chose between a place with either good food or good beer. Ale house has both.
Marissa was very nice and attentive . Thank you for your service .
We had put in the reservation for 7:30 and had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes. Service was erratic and slow. Food was good. Sat in the bar area (by choice), so it was louder then it would be in the dining area.
Great place for casual dining - fun atomosphere and great food/drink options! Friendly staff and terrific bar area.
Always get the Brussels Sprouts! Great service, and good drinks. Table was super sticky. But I didn't complain so it wasn't like I gave them the opportunity to fix it. But
This restaurant seemed to be very unfamiliar with reservations being made through Open Table. After checking in for a Sat 2/22 7:15pm Reservation, we waited an additional 25 min while watching other folks (arriving after us) being seated. I brought this to the attention of mgmt who then seated us right away, but we started off on the wrong foot. No compensation for our trouble was offered.
This restaurant should not be part of the Open Table network if they cannot manage their reservations properly, even on a busy weekend night.
Good food and service with reasonable prices......
