Went here for the first time to celebrate a birthday with a large group.
The service and ambience was excellent, will definitely be returning again!
The Allis is a buzzy place for young people. The service was very good and everything was done to make sure we had what we wanted. When my daughter joined us they moved us to an appropriate table quickly and were very accommodating .
We thought the portion of hummus with crudités was a bit mean for the price but the burgers and salad were good. The price for one starter and three mains ..one being a salad, plus a bottle of wine was £95!
The most amazing burger I have eaten in a long time. The service was exceptional and ambiance really relaxed.
Great for a brief business meeting.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. Food is good and hearty. The children had a good choice of menu items and they were welcomed by professional staff. I would go back.
Very friendly service, super helpful. Delicious food - great value for brunch with kids. Very helpful maitre'd who swapped a juice the kids didn't like.
Lovely ambience, fantastic service. Very noisy, happy they put us in the corner.
The burger was out of this would . Quality food.
Service was first class
Very comfortable evening. The service was exceptionally good and we felt extremely well looked after.
Good location though pricey for just burgers
Quite noisy too
Love their lunch time buffet, healthy options for lunch and very good value
Quite Unfriendly staff and slow service. We were with toddlers and we waited 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. The vast restaurant was not full. We decided to try it because children eat for free lunch time on weekends which is fantastic but sadly the ambiance was a bit like a very luxurious airport lounge and would benefit more from a more welcoming staff. The food came out fast and was decent but not so amazing it’s worth writing about.
Great reasonably priced food. Perfect for a quick lunch catch up with a friend. Good atmosphere.
Could have quite easily settled in there for the afternoon if I didn’t have to go back to work
Food was fine but service was very poor. For some reason we weren't allowed a jug of tap water on our table!
Service was very professional and friendly. The food was good but as on this occasion, New Year’s Eve, we thought they might have put a different menu on. Overall we had a very good evening.
Great service - staff very friendly and helpful.
Food excellence and ambiance is perfect, although it can be just a little bit too loud if you want to have a conversation with more than one person.
It was New Year’s Eve and we have a lovely time, food was really very nice
We sat on the right as you come in the restaurant at a table for 2 against the wall. We really like the buffet & are regular visitors. The service was not at all good & I believe that there was a substantial service charge. We were served by at least 4 different staff members when we could get any attention at all. Twice we had to leave the table to find someone to chase our drinks. Nobody looked in our direction, although they were gathered at the staff station in the middle of the room. When we ordered the 3rd drink, my friend asked not to have the mixer as she still had some left. However it was brought with the drink & when she asked for it to be taken away as she hadnt ordered it the waiter did not seem to understand. We were subsequently charged for it.
We spent nearly £50 each at lunchtime for a frustrating experience.
We worked in that building many years ago, & it is a treat to have such a lovely buffet, but the layout of the room requires much better management of the space & relevant staff training.
Amazing food and wine, great service and good ambiance!
We had a large table for 14 to celebrate a birthday and really enjoyed our evening. The ambience was great, service was good and the food lovely. A slight hitch with the order but overall a really enjoyable evening and we would definitely go back.
My friend and I had a nice lunch at The Allis recently; the food was nice and quite good value, but it wasn't an overly exciting menu. The service here is poor, however...The bar and restaurant area was busy but not packed, yet we needed to ask for menus, for drinks and for our plates to be taken away, making the whole lunch experience quite disappointing. It's a decent addition to the Shepherd's Bush / Westfield area, but there are better places for food, service and ambience.
Service very slow and waiting on staff were miserable. However the food was very tasty so I would still recommend this restaurant. Just don’t go if you are a bit tight on time.
Great service and food.
A bit draughty near the main doors but not really a problem.
Very relaxing and comfortable
This is the 2nd time i have been to the Allis, and it's worse than the 1st time.
1st time - had 4 different people serving/ taking orders, so a few requests were missed or had to be repeated. However all the staff were lovely. The food however was not of a good standard.
*2nd time - the service was the main reason of this rather bad review. This time we were sat on the opposite side (near the kitchen) which feels more like a holding area rather than a restaurant.
*To start with there were 2 children playing and running around. I am a mother, and even if my children were behaving like that (which they wouldn't) I expect the staff to not accept such behavior. It's a restaurant, not a playground. It ruined those 30 mins.
*It took approximately 20 mins before our waiter came to even knowledge us. We ordered drinks, while waiting for the 3rd diner.
*3rd diner arrived and again, waited a while (i was trying to get his attention for over 15 mins) until we could get the waiter. When we did, i found him rather confused at the fact we were ordering our mains (and insisted we had to order dessert as it was a set menu, minimum 2 courses) we were going to order dessert, however he didn't understand. Once he did, he as before insisted we had to make our decision then.
*Mains arrived, food eaten. However we were not asked if and when we wanted dessert, it was merely just brought to us within 5 mins of finishing our mains.
*Overall food was much better than last time. We had Sunday Roast chicken and beef, and all had sticky toffee pudding ;-)
I preempted a very delayed waiter, so we asked for the bill (i must add that it still took me a while to get his attention again). He brought the bill, but didn't give us enough time to actually look at it. So i asked him to give us 5 mins, which turned into longer.
I realised that at 4pm, they must have a shift change. So what seemed to be taking him away from us was end of shift admin.
Nice man, but preoccupied service.
Overall good, the only gripe was we were in a middle table by the stairs - not very comfortable- kind of stuck in the middle of the room. Maybe better just for drinks (bar looked nice). Food was delicious though - thank you. So just comfort really.
Lovely open food bar. Could probably be a quid or so cheaper but the options are vast
Terrible meal at The Allis, service dreadful, team totally inept. Food average at best. Felt like having lunch in a hotel lobby with staff that didn’t realise they had a restaurant to run.
Our whole experience was amazing! The food was delicious! The steak I had was cooked perfectly, so soft and tender. Service was great. Well looked after. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend!
Really nice ambience, and definitely somewhere I will go to again when meeting people in that part of London.
I had The Allis breakfast with a bagel and it wasn't great. The bagel was dry with no butter given on the side, and it appeared to be a shop bought New York bagel which was just a bit bland really. The rest of the plate was also quite basic with not much to be excited about. I've had the smashed avo with eggs on toast from The Allis before which was better. The service was very slow, especially with the drinks, and half the table had to ask fro napkins and cutlery when the food appeared because the table was only half set up on arrival (despite booking the table in advance).
I would choose to go somewhere else for breakfast next time, sorry!
Drab food, inexpertly produced. Run a mile from the chicken milanese. Toddler sized bowl of tinned Heinz level spaghetti, alongside a burnt and dried out slab of chicken. OK for a drinking spot, but you'd fare better eating in a fast food joint first
Excellent service and lovely relaxed ambiance- will definitely be back!
Visited for the Sunday Roast, and again everything was perfect. Good portions, with perfect quality food. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended.
Wonderful service, better food and even better drinks!
Excellent service, we had a wonderful time!
Excellent service and drinks
The staff were friendly and attentive. We sampled the Sunday Roast dinner menu and was impressed with generous portion sizes and great tasting food. Would highly recommend!!
Cute place, food was good and good portion sizes. Little like you're eating in a hotel lobby, which you kind of are, but not as though there were tons of guests coming through.
Our party of 10 went there for drinks and nibbles - business occasion. All happy, we'll come back.
