Excellent food, lovely ambience and good service. We shared small plates and they were all very good - inventive, tasty and well presented. Very reasonable prices, too. The restaurant is well laid out, spacious and attractive. The service was very good. We will definitely return

The Allotment Vegan Eatery provides a fantastic and unique dining experience. More importantly, it provides a full menu so that we vegetarians and vegans don't have to feel awkward asking for adjustments to food, or desperately searching for the token salad in the menu.
I shared the miso mushrooms and cauliflower wings as a starter, followed by the tofu ramen and finished off with a hazelnut slice for dessert. The mushrooms were delightful, had that classic "umami" taste to them, and now I want to steal the recipe. The wings had a slight kick and the cauliflower was cooked through perfectly. Honestly if I could have had a bucket of the cauliflower wings, I would be more than content. The ramen was excellent as a main course, with smoky tofu being the highlight of the dish. Dessert instilled a feeling of euphoria and was very rich.
To drink, The Allotment Vegan Eatery offer a lovely range of wines and spirits along with a good range of soft drink options as well. I recommend the Primitivo Red and the Manchester Wild Gin.
For our evening we were served by Chloe and Liam who were friendly and attentive. With just these two running front of house for the night it was impressive to see them going to and fro for us and the other diners with a big smile and great work ethic. They really made us feel even more welcome as it was our first night in the city!
Overall then, I heartily recommend The Allotment Vegan Eatery. Great food, great service and exciting flavours that will pique the curiosity of anyone, even if you're not vegan.

Really delicious food, fantastic service from Liam. Surprised by a candle in the dessert for my partner's birthday ☺️ great atmosphere, and price for standard of food. Only criticism is the lack of bun on the burger!! Otherwise perfect.

Beautiful food, great service and lovely, calm surroundings. I’m
Coeliac so it’s such a bonus to have a full menu to pick from, not just a couple of token gluten free options like a lot of restaurants. Service is always great too, informal (which I prefer), attentive and friendly. Thoroughly recommend.

I really enjoyed the food, the menu was clear and has lots of flavour. The food came out and I wasn’t disappointed. Thought it was value for money and if the chef ever wanted to give out the recipe for the cauliflower wings I’ll be very grateful.

A lovely experience with BRILLIANT service. We were mainly served by a Scottish waitress (we didn’t catch her name) and she was the best!

Very good value lunch- for £10 had two small plates & a hot drink.Ample for a hot summers day lunch. If had more time probably shared a dessert.

Aubergine rolls seemed firey at first bite but then interesting nutty flavour came through.Chicory& broccoli so many flavours & textures! Server suggested wrapping broccoli in chicory, which was covered in tapenade etc,- good advice!

Will be going again.

Great food, we had the miso mushrooms and the cauliflower wings followed by tacos and the Buddha bowl. Foe pudding we had hazelnut slice and affogato. All really tasty and good value. The service was friendly with the right mix of attention and leaving us to enjoy our meal and conversation. The restaurant was quiet, however the weather was really hot, so maybe decided to stay at home and have a barbecue!

Amazing food, good variety, we ordered a selection of savoury dishes to share because we couldn't decide and wanted to try it all! (went with a non-vegan who was very impressed). The chocolate torte is my fave! Super friendly staff, nice ambience. Look forward to going back.

The Allotment Sharing Board is a recommended introduction to the Allotment menu. With a side of Chunky Chips it does a great meal for 2.

We absolutely loved The Allotment, staff were so friendly, food was delicious!!! We had the large platters for a late lunch and my partner wanted a dessert. I was so full! Nicest food we've eaten out in a while. We would recommend wholeheartedly. Thanks you!

I went to the allotment for lunch with a friend, both us or eat meat/fish/dairy, but a vegan friend recommended it and we were curious to try some vegan delights. We were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious! We got a sharing board and a couple of the aubergine rolls, all the dairy substitutes were so good, especially the feta substitute I thought was nicer than real feta! I will 100% be going back with my husband for our wedding anniversary as he is also very keen to try the allotment. It has also made me think about trying more diary alternatives at home other than my oat milk. Vegan or not, you will not be disappointed if you enjoy fresh, tasty food. Also our server was great but unfortunately I cannot remember his name. He couldn’t do enough for us and wrote down what the faux feta was called which unfortunately I also lost the name of that! I will recommend the allotment to everyone who enjoys good food.

I'm never going to be disappointed by an all vegan restaurant, but sadly the experience was heavily marred by a shockingly poor level of service.

Will visit again in the future in the hope that we just caught them on a bad night.

Really good choice however disappointed not to try the banana blossom as they had just sold the last one! We had travelled from Gloucester for it too...
Wouldn't think they'd sell out so early in the evening as we got there at 5.30. Substitute was fantastic however (jackfruit tacos 😋)

Absolutely first class experience. The staff were welcoming, informative and friendly and the food was out of this world .
I was a little concerned as my friend had never eaten vegan before but she loved it. Our evening was relaxed , fun and full of wonderful food. Thankyou especially to our lovely waitress.
