Welcomed on arrival. Once seated we were on a conveyor belt at speed. No water offered for table. Table was not laid - it was do it yourself. Waitress was keen to move us on to the next stage in her script. Not relaxing in any way. Food arrived incredibly quickly. Waiting staff were all young and I would suggest quite inexperienced. Our table was plagued by flies throughout our meal. Little atmosphere and no attempt at a relationship between staff and customer. Service is so much more than just putting plates of food on the table. We didn’t stay for dessert and coffee.

Staff were all very attentive for the whole meal. My fathers 93rd birthday and we asked for a down stairs table of 12 which was accommodated perfectly in a private room overlooking the river. I had to change the time and also ask a question re the grandchildren and these were all sorted via phone and email. In summary we all had a great experience with good food and service overlooking the river.

Arranged lunch for four after a long walk. Easy parking. Outdoor bar was open as the weather was good. A good selection on the menu, with a specials and fixed price menu options. Very quick service. Friendly attentive staff. Clean plates revealed our enjoyment of the food we chose. I’d happily recommend the venue.

Disappointing experience when you book a roast dinner and the restaurant runs out of yorkshire puddings. Seems a bit pointless booking if the kitchen aren't able to prepare enough food for their booked guests.

The set menu was very good value for money, and really tasty and original choices. The bar was quite noisy and busy, but service was very quick, and friendly. It's a lovely place in a beautiful setting.
