Arranged lunch for four after a long walk. Easy parking. Outdoor bar was open as the weather was good. A good selection on the menu, with a specials and fixed price menu options. Very quick service. Friendly attentive staff. Clean plates revealed our enjoyment of the food we chose. I’d happily recommend the venue.

Disappointing experience when you book a roast dinner and the restaurant runs out of yorkshire puddings. Seems a bit pointless booking if the kitchen aren't able to prepare enough food for their booked guests.

The set menu was very good value for money, and really tasty and original choices. The bar was quite noisy and busy, but service was very quick, and friendly. It's a lovely place in a beautiful setting.

We eat here not infrequently as live 2 mins away but tonight it was just ok 🙁 lack of flavour & some set menu items (halloumi & pulled beef) just didn’t work. Overall food was disappointing, atmosphere lovely & service good but ultimately we really want to enjoy the food!! My 14 year old rated the £19 burger a 6/10, shame.

This is a great pub/restaurant, I have just returned from it and after having the roasted beetroot starter with goats cheese, followed by the confit lamb ribs and chocolate cheesecake. Every dish was stunning! All parts of the meal were packed full of flavour and beautifully presented! My partner had the crab on toast, followed by the glazed butterbean burger, she had a massive smile on her face, so must have thoroughly enjoyed it. This is not the first time we have been here and certainly will not be the last, as it seems to get better every time we go! It was very busy, as it was mothers day, so was slightly noisy, but not loud enough to spoil the occasion, but the quality of the food made up for it! Try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!
