Lovely meal but disappointed as we had booked for the special curry night which was cancelled, no one thought to email txt or phone me to tell me so we were very disappointed . Compounded by the table next to us having curry which apparently was the “only one we had”!!!
Saturday lunch. Party of 6. Excellent food, friendly service.
The food and service were very good but the room where we ate was cold. The radiators near to our table were not switched on.
The food was good as always, only problem we couldn’t hear one another as there were three young men who were rather raucous, loud, swearing and laughing loudly which spoilt the evening
A great menu to select from- portion sizes were ample, well cooked, well presented and very tasty. Good service and fair prices for both the food and drink. First time I had visited but will definitely be back again.
We are new to the area and decided to try out local cuisine for our anniversary. We knew we'd be safe with pub food because my husband's quite fussy... We were very impressed with the food - not just basic pub grub- it was like a higher standard for delicious pub grub! Will definitely recommend to others and be coming back for some of their special nights ( pizza/ 2 for 1 etc). Lovely cosy pub feel too (but not cramped) staff lovely and friendly!
I booked to take my elderly mother and uncle for a pre Christmas lunch. Service was brilliant, food very good. Would definitely book again. Requested table was arranged.
Am frequent visitor, the restaurant was very busy being Christmas week but we were not hurried and the service was acceptable.
Food good. The only fault was we were sat by the glass patio doors at rear of the restaurant and it was very cold, there was a draught through the doors and with all the glass the cold seeped through. Needed to sit with coats on.
Excellent food and Service. Slightly spoiled by noisy parties nearby, but its Christmas!!
Had the Christmas party menu on Saturday night and it was very enjoyable. Really good service and great value. Thank you
Really enjoyed my visit to the Angel and Harp . Food was lovely and staff friendly . Perfect for an evening meal with my friends . Would recommend .
We have been a couple of times to this restaurant for lunch, so decided to take friends for their first visit. The venues was warm and welcoming and we were well received by the staff who saw us to our table. Menu was generous and inclusive and staff were helpful with assisting with our choices . Three of our party opted for the Haddock as a main course and this proved to be a wise choice as the fish was superb! The haddock was beautifully cooked with a light batter coating and the texture was delicious, breaking into flaky mouthfuls. The French fries and the peas were also very tasty. We finished with coffee and mini pastries, all of us having enjoyed a delicious meal with first class service from the staff. Well done Angel and Harp and we will all be returning .
Good standard as usual. staff friendly. Different chips are awful. Please change back to originals.
Food and service good

Despite log fire the table area was really cold ,we moved to a slightly warmer area, finished meal in empty restaurant which can happen to any establishment
