The food is just ok, not delicious. For that price it should be much better. Ambience and service is good.

Loved our late lunch at the Annie, but it was fairly empty. Great menu and first class ambiance on second floor. This would be a better dinner spot, likely more active.

Loved the Red Snapper, the scallops and the rib-eye. The food was fantastic. The flowers by the host stand produced a beautiful fragrance that filled the bar area and we were big fans of the arrangement. Also really like how spaced out the dining room is. Great experience overall. ☺️

Looking forward to a New Year’s Day lunch on Saturday. Instead they had brunch, and horribly loud music where nobody could hear themselves talk

Three of my guests ordered the Huevos Rancheros and I ordered the chorizo enchiladas with scrambled eggs. All or meals were lukewarm. The presentation was beautiful but the meal itself was disappointing.

Have been here several times past few months...good location and nicely done on ambiance, but the service is subpar and the food is average at best. On last visit, new year's eve, there was only one hostess and she took a few minutes to greet us, had a hard time finding our reservation that had been made and confirmed several times. She only took us to the room our table was in but didn't seat us. Very young and inexperienced. Our waiter took at least 5 minutes to greet us and we're not sure he was actually a waiter. Seemed more like help staff who was covering. Less than polished, not friendly, seemed bothered to be there.

Cafe Annie used to be one of the city's most upscale and wonderful dining experiences. It still has the facade of being that, but below the surface, it's nowhere close.

Beautiful restaurant! My friends and I were treated very well. I haven't enjoyed a dinner out quite as much as this place in Houston. Very vibrant atmosphere. I wanted to stay and hang out, sad to leave.

Dined at the bar on New Years Eve and Stefan, Armando and Iris took great care of us. The room was very energetic as you would expect on New Years Eve. Our drinks were great and we had the oysters as an appetizer and dined on tenderloin and Red Snapper. It was a nice evening though we didn't stay until midnight

Ambiance and service was great. Our server Angel was wonderful. We went early in the afternoon on NYE and enjoyed being one of the few people there. The fish was a little on the dry side, and disappointing for the quality of what we were expecting. The crab cake tostadas were phenomenal! And we also enjoyed the lemon cake and espresso martinis. I would go back and have drinks and dessert, but probably not to eat. I may return to try the lamb, but not anytime soon.

We went during lunch time and they were preparing the restaurant for New Year’s. There were carts, boxes, and people all over around us as we tried to enjoy lunch. I would expect a restaurant like Annie’s to be more conscious about coordinating their activities. They could have easily close part of the restaurant and set up for celebrations there, rather than serving and having a set up right behind us. When we asked the manager, he was rude and clearly did not care. With so many other options in Houston for great restaurants, this might clearly not be a restaurant you might want to pick in the future. The food as ok and service was clearly not the best. What a shame….

It was one of the places I really wanted to go. The waiter (male)was not very welcoming or with a good attitude. It was strange right after 5 min we ordered the food arrived. It was not hot the food. I order a drink and didn’t arrive. I had to cancel the drink. Overall my experience with the food and service was not good. Definitely not coming back.

Quite good but a tad below expectations, perhaps due to an overworked staff. Food was good. Mushroom soup was a bit bland. Tortilla soup was - as always - phenomenal. Redfish was well prepared and the sauce was well spiced. Then burger was taller than wide and very well cooked; will ask to cook onions next time. The sundae was outstanding and the pecan pie was mainly pecans instead of syrup. Our waiters seemed overworked - to be expected during the holidays. Had to ask for more bread a couple of times (BTW, the bread is outstanding).

The food was great and the wait-staff was amazing. It pains me to leave this review, because while the food and service from wait-staff was great, them management staff was horrible with the exception of Hector. I had a reservation for the patio and once we arrived I checked in and I was extremely pleasant. The gentleman who I checked in with was the Assistant Manager, he was EXTREMELY RUDE. He did not want to be bothered. I let him view my reservation in my phone, because he seem to not believe I had one. He puts at a table in the back of the restaurant, I tell him I made a reservations for outside and says hold on and walks away. He immediately rushes back and says I don’t have tables for outside. We literally saw 4 tables open and I had a reservation for outside. We asked him for better seating he said “I don’t have waitstaff for that”. It was very disappointing, but considering I know the owner well, I will gladly share with him my experience. Thankful, mid meal, I ask for the general manager Hector and he apologized for the rude behavior from his assistant manager. I’m not sure if we were treated this way because we were black or because he was having a bad day, but it was a terrible start for holiday brunch.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at Annie’s. The Cobb salad that my mom ordered looked like the lettuce was old and the salad had no taste to it. We had to wait about 20 minutes before we even received a menu and then another 20 to place the order. We ordered appetizers and the waiter never cleared the table even when our main entrees came out, he just left them there. We were seated outside so there were flies constantly coming around the plates that needed to be taken off the table. Also, we didn’t even get any plates with our appetizers so we just used ate over them to ensure that we did not get any food on ourselves or waste it on the table. The service was horrible. I love this place and have referred several people here but this time I was thoroughly underwhelmed and had this been my first experience it would have definitely been my last.

We are disappointed to see you do not have non-alcoholic beer offered on your drink menu. We've asked for it several times and although our server managed to find some on previous visits.... at our Christmas Eve dinner there was none. We've noticed other good restaurants across Houston are starting to expand their drink menu offering non-alcoholic beer, it would be great if you considered doing the same. Apart from that we always enjoy our dinners with you.

Went for a nice Christmas Eve brunch - sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Food was good, but the service was slow and inattentive. We felt like the server was over the top is upselling add-ons (ie suggesting adding eggs and bacon to an order of French toast thereby doubling the cost, bringing bottles of still water vs tap water when tap water was requested, etc…). The most egregious charge was full price charges for coffee refills. It’s unfortunate that such a potential wonderful experience turned out to be one where I feel like I paid way more than I should have. We won’t be going back.

WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD WAS JUST SO-SO. On bone veal chop was almost all bone and fat! Minuscule meat! Far to pricey for the quality. HAD WANTED TO DINE THERE FOR A LONG TIME, WON'T RETURN FOR DINNER, MIGHT RETURN FOR BRUNCH

My girl’s group was having our annual holiday luncheon and we had a BLAST! A twin of one of our polo player buddies was at the next table (sorry, guy/ hi, Wesley!); and the food could not have been better. Well done as usual on the drinks and service- the ambiance is always well done and above excellent. We were so pleased. Thanks for a great Christmas Lunch.

The restaurant was packed, and extremely loud. Our server was working hard, but was clearly stretched very thin. My Cobb salad was basically tasteless. We didn’t order dessert because doing so would probably have added 45 minutes to an already long lunch - even though we had only one course. The renovation of this space is attractive, but I can’t say there’s anything positive other than that which would motivate me to return.

Stood at hostess stand for quite a while before anyone helped us. Person that seated us seemed put out that we were even there. Ordered a champagne cocktail for my wife and was brought a glass of champagne. Sent it back and was then told they had no sugar cubes to make the cocktail. Not the attitude or service for this level of dining.
Waiter was fine. Very attentive.
Food was okay but not outstanding.
