                                                                      The only factor of the restaurant I don’t like is that all sides are alacarte. No entrees come with sides and you must pay for them separately. If I go to Grotto or Carabbas or Federal Grill, they don’t charge for them

                                                                      Good restaurant with a very varied menu, excellent quality food. The service was fantastic our waiter was really great. Would recommend for a business dinner or for a fun night out. The front room with the bar is a little more lively if you like that, we were in the back room which was a little more quiet. There’s also the outdoor porch.

                                                                      Annie Cafe, in its various permutations, has been a Houston mainstay for decades. It remains at the top of its game. The restaurant has a warm and inviting feel to it. The bar area is particularly comfortable with banquet seating along one wall. The food remains fantastic with a few old friends like Annie’s tortilla soup on the menu. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. I almost hate to write a good review for fear of more people rediscovering this Houston gem.

                                                                      Beautiful atmosphere and pleasant experience. We had a stunning view from our table. Our server was exceptional and friendly. The manager checked on us a few times to make sure everything was perfect. Their appetizers and entrees are all fantastic. My favorites to order are the Crab tostadas, Ahi tuna ceviche, Scottish Samon and Red Snapper! So delicious! I love dining at The Cafe Annie for all occasions. Sarah Ghandour

                                                                      We chose to go to The Annie Cafe clear the table because we were clearly done, get silverware after the second course since they took our silverware, ask the waiter to bring items we had already ordered since he forgot, ask for refill our water, we specifically said no mushrooms on a plate and they added mushrooms which also took 15 to bring after all other plates were brought out, also had to get up twice to ask for the dessert and one time for the check. I have been to cafe Annie several times but that will probably be my last. Their server was incredibly disappointing and not worth coming back.

Food was vey good, but the lamb chops did not need to be smother as they were with so much red sauce. We were there for a special occasion and the waiter did comp the dessert.

Do they do it on purpose or have they become deaf???

                                                                      The service was the worst we have ever experienced at a fine dining restaurant. There was a 40 minute period between our appetizers and entrees where no one came to the table. No one came to refill our water. No one came to see if we needed another round of drinks. No one came to give us an update on our main courses. We were simply abandoned for 40 minutes. When the entrees did finally come there was no apology on the delay. There were multiple Maitre d’s in suits that also never once came to check in on our table but visited other tables. We have lived in houston for a long time and will unfortunately never be back to the Annie because of this experience.

When the waitress came to service me I asked why I wasn’t in the seating area around people. She explained to me that area was “for people with reservations.” Mind you, I had a reservation. Not going back. Don’t waste your money here.

                                                                      We ordered The Post oak Burger. Which is a great burger if it’s cooked properly. Managers are aware and walk through the restaurant for consistency and accuracy.

                                                                      Another great meal at The Annie! Our server Chris was most professional and offered great suggestions - the Crab Tostada starter was a home run. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening!
