When we arrived at the establishment, the landlady refused to honour our reservation as she said they no longer use Opentable to take bookings. We therefore left the establishment without any food or drink. We were so disappointed by this as I have a confirmed reservation.

Went for an evening meal for my husband’s birthday. Food was amazing as always. I had the Chicken Niçoise salad from the specials menu which was delish. Children loved their food & my son ate the whole fish in his fish & chips & my daughter ate most of her portion of pasta. Ella & the other staff serving us were fantastic - thanks for a great evening everyone!

Its a little gem of a place for lunch time dining, the service and quality of food is very good with a decent wine list and a nice selection of beers and soft drinks. My only issue was the seating, old church pews that keep you bolt upright are not good when you have back issues, I found the seating incredibly uncomfortable

We had a great family lunch. All of the food was excellent - fish and chips, steak pie, pizzas, risotto - all were superb quality and great portion sizes! Lovely drinks too, especially wines and ales. The staff were excellent - friendly, welcoming and professional. Thank you!

Had a lovely meal at the Ash Tree as always food excellent service was very good especially as it was so hot we really felt sorry for the staff but it did not affect the service we received eg friendly quick . Would recommend the ash tree for the food price and service

The service was exceptional, all the staff were polite, friendly and efficient. The food was gourmet restaurant standard, certainly not a pub restaurant! Only negative comment is that dogs are no longer welcome inside ( they can go outside where there are picnic benches, not ideal for a fine dining though). If I could take my dog I would probably eat here weekly.
