    A busy night with many Christmas bookings but as a couple we still didn’t feel rushed. Quality of ingredients excellent and cooking standard terrific. It was our first time here but we will be back. My only negative point is something the restaurant can probably do little about: noise levels. It was so noisy that it made chatting a bit difficult but I’d be confident that it’s less exuberant once the party season is over. Staff are very good too. Great venue

    Waited 55 mins although we had pre ordered and only had a main, 2 tables that arrived after us were served before us and the deposit had not been taken off the bill. However food was lovely and excellent value for money.

    The service was really good, good atmosphere, the quality of the food was very good. We would have liked the choice of bread on the side and maybe some background easy listening music would have been good. All in in it was a really nice night

    2nd visit in 4 days with elderly guests each time, who loved it. Just a lovely, relaxed venue with a great menu. I was concerned it would be exactly the same 4 days but I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a completely different meal 4 days later. Staff all friendly and helpful especially our main server - don’t know her name but she used to work in Bannatynes. Glasses, long brown hair. Excellent service from her.

    It was our first visit to Back Street. We enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and service was good. We enjoyed our food but felt the main meals were very beef heavy which left us little choice. A pleasant evening. Thank you

    Dined here last night. Food was excellent and kids menu had great choices. Cocktails were lovely especially the Bob Marley. Baked Alaska is delicious. All staff very attentive and nothing was too much for anyone. Thank you for a brilliant evening

    Friendly staff ,excellent service, tasty food at a reasonable price. The chicken Kiev was too big but everything else was perfect. Especially enjoyed the macaroni cheese.

    Excellent service, good surroundings and central. Starters very good. MC - ribs good(huge). Beef B OK - plain. Lentil burger disappointing - dry. Poor presentation. Disappointing as had been better in the past.

    We have now been to ‘The Back Street’ a number of times either as a couple or with friends. On each occasion the food, service and value have been consistently to a very high standard. The serving staff are always pleasant and attentive with an informal but always polite approach. The only slight downside is that when full it can be a bit noisy but that would never put us off returning. Great wee restaurant!

    Another fantastic meal! We went for Wednesday Steak night and it didn’t disappoint, the steak was cooked to perfection! Great value for money also. Hats off to William and all the staff.
