Another excellent meal at The Back Street. We always visit on our regular trips to Dumfries as the food and service is always exemplary.

Very nice meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Had steak meal for two with a bottle of wine. Thought it was good value for money.

The service is friendly and attentive! The quality of the food is solid and tastes good (burgers) to very good (salmon, haggis). The egg with haggis coating on the starter menu deserves a special mention. The actually very inviting ambience (open, cozy, modern) is somewhat impaired by the strong kitchen smells. Overall recommendable!

Went for steak night and it did not disappoint. Excellent value for money and the steak was cooked to perfection. Front of house staff were really helpful and nothing was a problem.
