The Bailiwick Free House has opened under the leadership of Steven Ellis previously of The Oxford Blue in Old Windsor with his wife Ami as head pastry chef. Nestled on the gates of The Windsor Great Park, The Bailiwick will be a gastronomic destination for locals and visitors to enjoy the very best produce that this naturally plentiful area has to offer. Steven’s training under the tutelage of Clare Smyth MBE at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay has enabled him to offer a sophisticated twist on familiar dishes.

Food as ever was tender, tasty and beautifully presented. Every staff member we spoke to was super friendly and seems genuinely happy to serve you. They are so accommodating, we would not hesitate to recommend and definitely be returning.

Food is always excellent and the service attentive and friendly. This is our regular pub and when we take guests there they love it too. I highly recommend it!

The waiting/Bar staff were incredibly attentive. We visit regularly for drinks when passing on our walks. We deduced to visit for food for our anniversary. The kitchen were amazing as I am gluten free due to coeliac disease. I left full and very happy. We will certainly be visiting again . Thank you

We go to the Bailiwick every year for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant itslef is very charming, the food is always amazing, service polite and efficient.

Been to the bailiwick a few times now and have had a great meal every time, I always worry that returning to a place you really like that one time will be bad and put you off, every time its been great service beautiful food and a really warm welcome, staff that know about what there serving and talk you through what you have been served but not in a pompous posh way but a proud to serve way because they know the foods good. it was the first time we had been to try there Sunday roast and it was for my wife's birthday, as usual great food and loads of it, and all cooked perfectly also a cauliflower cheese that actually tasted of cheese. thanks for another great meal

Unfortunately, the menu has not changed since we started visiting The Bailiwick. There was obviously a shortage of staff as each course took a very long time to arrive. I ordered chips with my main course which were, obviously, forgotten but when they did arrive were inedible as they were undercooked. I am vegan but each time I eat here there is never any protein in my meal…. Such a disappointment as we took two sets of friends with us.
