The Bank is Bude’s resident Cornish tapas bar set alongside the tranquil surroundings of the River Neet in North Cornwall.

We pride ourselves on our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, providing the perfect accompaniment to food made for interaction and sharing. With a variety of seating options to suit all, relax in our main restaurant and take in the stunning views from our uninterrupted glass wall over the Bude Marshes or dine in tranquillity in one of our private dining pods away from the buzz of the main room.
Just a short walk down our beautiful Bude canal and beaches, we welcome all to dine with us, stop for a quick drink or ice cream with takeaway options available to continue your stroll.
The atmosphere is often described as electric and welcoming to all who dine with us.

We offer our main restaurant as a private event space with exclusive use of our private dining pods optional depending on size of your party and event style. Overall a good experience just a few little niggles. A bit of inconsistency with a couple of the dishes the battered fish was nice but one of the three was well over cooked and not pleasant nor easy to chew likewise the belly pork. Of the three pieces two were quite dry but the third ok. Staff were friendly as ever, and all three of us enjoyed the dining experience.

Fabulous as always. Food delicious. Some menu changes which were needed and make a nice selection. Staff as always were delightful. Would have got five stars overall but Chablis at £20 a glass needs to be served very cold. They did their best when I complained but it was too late really. The manager was very receptive to my complaint though and I’m sure it was a one off. First complaint I’ve ever made during regular use for 12 years which says it all really. Highly recommended, see you again soon.

Had a really lovely meal at The Bank once again! Staff frendly and professional and appropriately perceptive to diners needs. In their favour is that they don’t overdo the questioning about ‘how are things , how is your food ?..’ as can happen in other establishments with the repeated interruptions . We had a great table with a lovely view - Will definitely be returning.

Phenomenal place to eat in Bude, lots of choice, all 3 courses were of very high quality and we were in a really quirky private pod overlooking the riverbank. Highly recommend this place for dinner.
