Every element of our afternoon tea is lovingly made in our farm kitchen, and like the rest of our menu, follows the seasons with unique details. Bubble & squeak not traditional, just chunks/cubes of root veg mixed with crème freche, not crispy as advertised, be aware if ordering & eggs on top undercooked, had to send back to the kitchen. Service polite but slow.

Good ingredients interestingly served in beautiful barn. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly and the barn conversion creates a pleasant environment. always busy with diners of all ages, popular with dog walkers

Was an unnecessary waiting time to get seated because the ‘hostess’ was just taking her sweet time. When we did make it to the front of the queue she didn’t even seat us, like she had everyone else, just pointed to our table. The barn breakfast was disappointing, snotty eggs, underdone bacon, overcooked rosti, cold beans, cold toast. The tables were so close you couldn’t get up or down without having to disturb neighbouring tables. We wanted to order another round of drinks and cake but no one came to clear outer table. Eventually we just left, pretty sure we could have left without paying the bill as no attention was being paid to us.

In spite of the fact that it was October we were very comfortable and quieter in the outside covered area. Excellent service from delightful young servers and the food was of the usual high and freshly prepared standard.

Had booked for early breakfast on 22 October 2023. Service was very efficient and friendly. Our breakfast arrived on very hot plates however we found that the food itself was luke warm. It was obvious that the breakfast had been sitting on a hot plate for a while before being served? We really like The Barn Kitchen but we like our food to be very hot too!

Having not visited since the pandemic (and well before the Barn Kitchen was opened) this was a special lunch celebrating our wedding anniversary. The team in the Barn couldn't have been nicer, making specific mention of the special occasion regularly! Service was immaculate with special mention to Jo and Amy our lovely servers. Food was, as expected, great with high quality local ingredients, freshly made with fantastic presentation and generous portions. The beef brisket burger and cheese and onion tart were wonderful - and the fries were made with real potatoes. No frozen chips here! The scotch egg small plate starter and chocolate brownie dessert finished off a great experience. Thank you to one and all for a memorable visit - we must make sure that we don't leave it so long to the next time

One of the best and most delicious vegan afternoon teas we've had to date and by far better than any vegan afternoon tea we've had in a number of London's fancy hotels. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommend and will defo be back again soon...thank you 👍

We enjoyed every aspect of our first visit so much that we went back again three days later. The food was fresh, tasty and excellent; the service that little bit more special than being just friendly and efficient: and the ambience exceptional. The Barn Kitchen can certainly be very busy at peak periods but every effort is made to find everyone a table, even without a booking although this is recommended, and to explain why there might be a delay in taking orders and providing service because of the large number of customers.

We were a bit early for lunch but made welcome all the same, lovely coffee while we waited! Lunch was flat breads, one with goats cheese and the other tomato basil and mozzarella …..both were delicious! We were not rushed and would definitely return. Very noisy inside for breakfast/ brunch but quieter for lunch. Young staff are great! Friendly, helpful and definitely have a sense of humour! I think needed for this kind of work.

An excellent location and consistent with everything it has to offer. Food always good quality ingredients. On this occasion fried eggs slightly undercooked and poached overdone but this is a minor point because the dishes are really fresh and tasty. Missed a few side orders but came out quickly when this was pointed out. It is the service, however, that makes this venue stand out. Always friendly and personable, while keeping an eye on everything without being intrusive. A great local “go to” place on our shortlist.

Excellent service as usual. All the staff are wonderful at The Barn Kitchen. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. The grilled prawns are completely delicious but more focaccia is needed to make a more substantial lunch (& to mop up all the lovely juices).

Lovely, friendly staff, but they were very busy. Not enough staff on duty? Good food, well presented , but no gluten free bread, so had to have chips instead. Kept waiting before being seated. Quite noisy, but nice atmosphere. Nice to see the bbq, if we had wanted it.

It was a very pleasant experience. I’m glad I had booked as it made seating easy. It was a nice experience specially as the grandchildren were attending a course in the Yurt. We thought the food was quite expensive.

We had burger and chips. The quality of the burger was very good as well as the chips. Although there are warnings that some parts of the menu come from different kitchens (the flat breads / pizzas are from the outside kitchen) I didn’t expect to have to chase down getting the chips after the burgers arrived… The welcome was great but on this Friday lunchtime all the people waiting the tables seemed very busy which made it hard to get attention… The atmosphere was very good and we will be back… lovely design and a great burger
