I really enjoyed our evening over at the Mill in between the rain showers. Started off outside on the terrace as the light decreased. Very fresh sea bass, delicious ratatouille. Highly recommended
Great pub grub!!
Service historically always been poor , at least food was decent..until last time when I paid 13£ for a burnt hamburger and soggy fries
The location is beautiful but they need to sort the place
Not the first I say that
The last time I went was in the summer when the food took 1 HOUR & 15 MINUTES to arrive from the time of ordering and there were 4 children in the party. We were not a 'walk in' and had made a reservation a few days in advance. This was NOT acceptable and I did not go back for ages. A friend had a similar problem a month ago but I was pleased that judging by our experience this time the problem is resolved
This was our third visit to the Mill although the first on a Sunday. It was very busy but service was excellent and we didn't have to wait long to be served. However I was disappointed with my roast, as the pork and Yorkshire were overcooked and the parsnips and potatoes were under and there was no green veg at all. All in all it was a bit of a let down. Having said that the others enjoyed their meal as I have done on previous occasions. It wouldn't take much to improve the roasts and it won't stop us going again.
The food was rubbish, both burgers where burnt and the salad was bland. The waitress made it clear she really wasn’t interested what so ever. I wouldn’t waste your money!
The staff were all very friendly, however, the when we were there it took between 45 minute to an hour for our meal to arrive. Also we had reserved a table through Opentable but when we arrived they apparently had no record of the booking. Something to be careful of if you use the Opentable website. The location by the River Avon is a real plus.
As a popular place to head to in good whether, overlooking the weir and river, it is picturesque. However, the service was very poor, having to wait over 40 minutes for the starter to arrive, and another 40 minutes for the main course. We chose not to stay for coffee afterwards, due to other commitments. This place appeared to have plenty of staff, but was actually understaffed given the level of service.
The service was absolutely rubbish, the waitresses looking totally fed up and avoiding eye contact in case they were asked for something !
We sat at our table, whilst waiting to be asked if we would like a drink it was very apparent that there were many tables waiting for food, so with this in mind and the fact that still nobody had asked us if we would like a drink we decided to leave, the pub is in a great place but that’s as far as it goes.
Lovely food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most importantly they are dog friendly.
Really lovely spot. Beautiful view, excellent food and service.
We have visited the mill a lot and have always had a lovely evening. The staff are very friendly and accommodating . The food on Saturday was really good all four of us cleaned our plates!
Special occasion as my daughter got a promotion into London
The food was very good but slightly small portions I felt
Service was good the only slight criticism was it took about 20 minutes to get our round of drinks brought over
Would not stop me returning as I feel the amount of options on the menus is very good
I love this restaurant and food is always excellent.
I would ask to be further into the restaurant next time as a bit near the door/entrance.
Amazing atmosphere outstanding food over all a wonderful experience
Rude and abrupt service from the barman. The pork belly and scallops is overpriced for what you get. I know it is a fatty meat but there was very little meat in the slices we got. Disappointing.
Lovely restaurant. Great outdoor seating area. Had a Sunday lunch there and it was lovely and tasty.
Would definitely return.
Decent waterside location in an old Mill (presumably?), access is over a narrow bridge (with a toll payable each way) so can get a little congested as it's single track. Parking available onsite though & a nice location on the river. Rather confusing as we booked via the app but this is only for the restaurant area inside apparently & as we had our dog with us he was not allowed inside. It then became a free-for-all to find an unreservable table outside & the pub was very busy given it was Sunday lunchtime. You should perhaps clarify this on the app - the pub was listed as dog-friendly but then you can't book and have to take a chance or wait for a table. Anyway finally grabbed a table on the terrace but then you have to go to the bar to order & it was very busy with only two staff serving which was a bit crazy. Waited 20 mins to order food & drinks (quite some people gave up from the queue & left which would have been avoidable had they put more staff on the bar or offered table ordering service!) Even when the food arrived the servers could not take drinks orders you had to return to the bar & queue all over again. Despite the chaotic order process the food was decent, if unspectacular. The roast chicken was enormous and beautifully cooked, home made tomato soup also very pleasant, as was the crab & lobster fishcake with pea veloute. Overall if you can time it to miss the queues a nice location on a Summers's day with an adequate menu well prepared & reasonable value for money
Food was average and as we were the only occupied table downstairs think we missed out on service, was quite pricey for meal but pretty location.
Overall was good service apart from the welcoming. The guy that was at the front desk was not welcoming, he was quite blunt. The serving staff were friendly and pleasant.
Lovely peaceful location. Friday night was busy and we were at a table tucked away from sight so service was not as good as normal but we still enjoy going there.
Did not have our booking - staff over stretched, waited 1:50 for food to arrive
However did reduce our bill considerably
