Fantastic food and very friendly accommodating staff
LovelySunday Lunch. Accommodated change in number of diners at the last minute. Good atmosphere and excellent beer and wine. Would highly recommend
Lovely Sunday roast, well cooked for a decent price. Dogs made welcome too.
Great location and a lovely welcome. Sat at table in bar so a tad noisy . The food was delicious served hot on hot plates . Portion sizes are large.
Great food and I love that you can start out by drinking an ale in the front yard - then come inside for a tasty meal and then end the night in the beer garden in the back.
Very busy during the Jazz Festival but our server was not fazed. He was very pleasant and efficient. The food was good quality and good value for money.
Excellent service , food and great value for money
I belong to not only the Wi but other groups and I would recommend the Beehive as an excelent place to eat
We went for Sunday lunch with a couple of friends and their new baby - we had a lovely time and the staff were so patient with the little one who was being quite fussy and loud throughout the meal (I think it helped we were next to a large table who also had a few smaller children!). The food was tasty as ever and our friends were thoroughly impressed.
We were accomadated really well with a couple of requests we had, service really good and food lovely. The only downside was the veg served all mixed together, but they arranged separate portion for the fussy members of the party. Would definitely return
Despite being the last night of Gold Cup week 9when I'm sure the staff would have been worn out) our Meal was delicious
Lovely Sunday lunch and great can take the dog.
Sweet potato wellington was delicious. Side plate of vegetables was too small for all 4 of us to share and they were cold and over cooked.
Table service was poor, were shown to our reserved table, given menus and abandoned. Eventually gave up and had to seek assistance from the bar staff.
Other tables around that ordered food after us got their food first. Messed up someone’s order by forgetting about their starters, just gave them their main and were told they’d have to eat their starters afterwards.
Bar had run out of our preferred bitter.
Table hadn’t been cleaned, still had confetti on it from a party the night before
Note sure what to expect but walked into a vibrant 'local' with all the buzz that is so often missing. Asked to be moved our of a quiet and empty room into the main bar - not a problem. Looked after excellently all night and even though we were the only ones eating the food was fantastic; good hearty pub-grub without the gastro excesses. Great beer, recommend the All Black.
Good food and excellent value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking very difficult.
For A quiet family lunch this was just right. Parking is challenging. Range of beers good and large food portions
Lovely Sunday pub lunch with my partner. Great atmosphere, prompt service (albeit the table wasn’t ready for half an hour but that was due to other customers overrunning their slot), and tasty food. The beer could be more varied, but a few were off tap. It was very close to town and the bus service, so we were able to both enjoy a pint without worrying about getting home. Am booking again for a few weeks time to bring my dog so will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere for the rugby. Superb venison stew and the pies are excellent too. Great beer. Lovely staff.
We had a great experience. Excellent food and service.
Amazing Sunday lunch with very friendly staff. The setting and location was perfect.
overcharged only by £2 so let it go as I would have given more as a tip
Delicious Sunday roast in cosy surroundings. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a casual place to dine in the smarter end of Cheltenham.
I booked online for a family get together and was left a voicemail 2 hours before we were due for pur booking to say they had double booked and wouldn't be able to acccommodate us. There was no offer for an alternative time or arrangement and we had to find somewhere on a busy Saturday evening in Cheltenham, which was difficult.
Lovely Sunday lunch, opted for 2 courses & both courses were freshly cooked & tasty.Lovely big wedges of lamb with plenty of freahly cooked vibrant vegetables with perfect roasters & veggies. We prefer a late Sunday lunch (2.30 - 3) and are usually disappointed as the roasters & yorkies end up dried out & inedible, but not at the Beehive. Delish! . Highly recommended
Good honest local with great food and beer. Doesn’t try to be flash. Decent value.
Seating is problematic. Made a booking and was seated at someone else’s table so we were asked to move near the end of our meal. Having previously not found a seat we tried using open table but if our reservation isn’t honored we aren’t planning to go back.
Food and drinks are decent.
A super Sunday lunch, with fab roasties and veg- not quite 5 stars this time as the beef was a little chewy.
Food and service were great. Awesome atmosphere
Not the best of welcomes received notice we would be seated upstairs followed signs for restaurant upstairs were stopped by a man asking where do we think we were going as if we were trying to rob the place! Explained we had a booking and were eventually led upstairs to be seated. After this unfortunate start ambience was good nice spacious room and food service and wine all good.
Had been told there was an event on so had bar seating. Very grotty, service was ok. Food not that amazing compared with other local independent restaurants. Mushroom burger made a member feel sick . Overall disappointing experience for what was meant to be a special retirement meal!!
Excellent Sunday Lunch, and very accommodating staff.
