A terrific pub with fantastic food and super friendly staff!
Everything was perfect,
The thing that could let people down is the meat is to rare and not everyone likes it that way
This has been our local for thirty years but it has over the years lost some of its vibrancy albeit with an improved decor. It has become a pub again and with friendlier bar staff will soon be a treasured and welcoming local hostelry. We will be back - often!
Although this has been my local establishment for at least 10 years I have seldom frequented it but the ambience has changed drastically for the good and after the delightful evening we had recently with friends at the Belgian Arms resulting in a combination of good company, excellent food , good service and cosy ambience we will definitely look forward to make this a more regular visit with friends and family
We enjoyed a great girly evening with lovely service - all the Staff are so friendly & cheerful & welcoming... Thankyou! :)
Lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent food and brilliant with my two young children. We will definitely be coming back!
Family birthday lunch
Good food great service the whole evening was a nice experience.
Would recommend it for an all round lovely evening.
We attended my wife's birthday and it was a fantastic experience. The Menu was fantastic and the Lunch above expectation. My two Children had a great day.
A longtime venue for us had mildly disappointed us of late but this visit was a revelation for us.
We found the staff very friendly and efficient although there were some waits. We have never found the staff lacking but they were better this time.
The food was excellent and I liked the Vegan options. My wife was impressed by her Sea Bass.
The desserts were better this time and the wine was very good.
The beer as always was good.
It was a big improvement to have the Specials printed.
We would prefer a monthly menu change but we are fussy i.e. Cote regulars.
We will be back soon!
Great evening and meal where although it was busy, the waitress was very attentive
Excellent. My wife had possibly the best fish and chips ever.
Good Food, Great Service, Lovely Atmosphere - Highly recommend.
It’s just alright ! Nothing more to say really other than I had been to Tom kerridge restaurant Coach for lunch so the Belgium arms had a lot to live up to the food was outstanding g and service slick and professional
When the Belgium arms first re opened it lived up to its sister restaurant the Royal Oak the maitre de was brilliant and it had an air of being a good restaurant from the outset ! Not anymore no organisation no one owning the floor and food mediocre I had skate with black butter my dry skate was accompanied by a catering style round circle of black butter on the side ! Never had it that way before! Just need to invest a bit of money into making this place an outstanding pub right now it’s very ordinary indeed
Friendly welcome, nice food, good service. Nice evening.
Went out for Valentines was a really lovely special menu. Me and my fiancé thought the menu was creative and very tasty. Will be returning soon.
Great service great food definitely recommend to friends
A wonderful meal, served by attentive and professional staff. Have eaten here a few times and their food, staff and excellent service will ensure many more visits from us. See you soon.
Excellent, friendly service, prompt response to requests. Food was lovely, good portion sizes and well presented. Overall ambience in the pub was great, friendly, calm. Busy for a Monday night which was good to see.
Great meal love very service. Friendly and welcoming. New menu was just the best. Seat in front of fire was probably only my stake but once it cooled All was good - and the water jug was topped up frequently to help! Definitely returning.
My first visit since the pub changed hands. The staff were very welcoming and efficient but I thought the food was over priced. Then when the rugby came on full blast almost above my head.... it was time to leave and I won't be rushing back. Shame.
Simply the best Sunday lunch in the area. Love this place!
Hi The business lunch was very good and enjoyed by all. The only small comment I have is that the lamb rack I ordered was not pink as requested and a bit on the fatty side.
thanks

Meal was ok Desert had to go back . Service no good not enough staff .
The Belgian Arms, been here a few times now, great atmosphere, lovely food, all staff very attentive and helpful, nothing to much trouble. Would certainly recommend if you have not been yet.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Very enjoyable experience.
Great roast dinner pudding was delicious too highly recommend it & will be returning
Great Village Pub, with lovely food and service, worth a visit
We had heard mixed reviews, but thought it was time to try for ourselves.
the result was excellent, best Sunday lunch in the area.
The food was excellent, the service friendly and relatively quick. The attention given to my overseas guests very patient.
Great day in Belgium Arms! I love the place and the food
The four of us had a really good meal - traditional fish and chips being the most popular and certainly the best we have tasted for a long time. Very large portions so couldn't quite manage to clear the plate. Perhaps lighter starters might be better next time!!
Christmas Dinner
Had a lovely birthday lunch - food very tasty & fabulous service!
We had a lovely meal the roast beef was perfect. Every one enjoyed all 3 courses !!!
The pub had a lively atmosphere. Shall definitely be returning. All the staff was friendly.
Had booked online but table was in the main bar which was very noisy. Expected to be in the quieter part of the restaurant. Service was mixed with waitress asking if we wanted to know the specials before we had the main menu then just gave us the menu without telling us the specials. Then she left us quite a while before taking our order. It was busy so a little wait for mains but food excellent. Best fish & chips ever. Waited 20 mins for cheese course so again service slow for what we ordered. Didn't feel a tip was merited.
Booked a table for 3 on a Wednesday so expected it to be on the quiet side. It was, but a shame as it’s a very cosy pub. Menu was varied and I had a starter from the specials menu. I ordered beef stroganoff on toast, I’m a big fan of the dish and it didn’t disappoint. Very nice and also in the large side for a starter (I won’t complain).
Despite being quiet, the service was a little on the slow side. We weren’t in too much of a rush, but we were hungry and it was a relief when the starters came along.
Would recommend - I’ve been before and the menu seemed to be of a higher quality than before.
What a find! Went here for Sunday lunch, not expecting anything hugely special, but the food was exceptional, and the service was good. Will definitely be returning!
Met a friend for supper on Monday night. Pub was busy, cosy and very friendly. The food was excellent, I had a lovely steak and kidney pie with mash and steamed vegetables. service good. I will definitely visit again and would strongly recommend.
Always good value, service and food. Been many times with just a few of us and as a group and the same level of service and quality of food is high. Many thanks
