The Belgian Arms
We offer really tasty British food that’s beautifully cooked, a great selection of wines and a really good pint.
The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and friendly. The Belgian Arms is the ideal spot for meeting up with family and friends, an informal business lunch or dinner and simply having fun.

Fantastic food roast dinner is Amazing great selection of fresh vegetables meat was so tender & tasty
Food good .servis not brilliant . While eating our meal we had people standing at the bar by restaurant so close could not move my arm to eat my meal . They should have never bean there . Spoiled the the evening with my partner . Could not wait to get out of there. 😠
We had a lovely Saturday night dinner here as a family of three. The food was fantastic, the service friendly and the setting lovely. Extremely child friendly and we shall certainly be visiting again in the future.
Part of the car park was flooded so 3 spaces not useable in full car park.
Dining room is rather dingy , lighting could be improved in parts of the restaurant
My husbands toasty bread was to hard to chew, he left most of it , my liver and bacon was very good , water glasses stained and old through dishwasher use, had to ask to replace them.
Staff helpful and efficient ,
Many allergy free things on the menu but chef will then review to check it’s all ok .
I quite liked this pub it’s very well priced and good quality a bit of tweaking would make it excellent
I am a regular here. It never lets you down. Took two friends and they loved it
It was a little noisy when we went for Sunday lunch as there was a private function.
Service and food were great. We had a mixed party of adults and older children, menu suited all.
Nice pub with lovely staff...my only gripe is its very nice but it's a bit expensive, £8 for a gin ? , very nice food but a bit overpriced for what you get , I had two roast dinners , two pints of Guiness and a Gin , two desserts and one starter and it was just shy of £80
As usual lovely food with good service it was very busy though obviously becoming very popular only one hiccup received the wrong wine and rather than complain we drank it any way
Had a cracking pub lunch here today!
Occasional visitor for the last ten years and it is as ever. Thankyou
Dinner with son on a Monday night the BA was buzzing as ever, food and service excellent
Great atmosphere, attentive service, a bit noisey to have a chat as felt sat in the bar rather than restaurant. Food OK but disappointed with veg curry as one mouthful blew my head off - should have had a warning!!
Promotional meal ran out, not their fault but we’re poorer the inclusive wine and then told after half hour of sitting that there was no promotional meal and wine was list price! After having a word they stepped up but not many British folk do
Had lunch with my daughter here as several of our regular haunts were fully booked. Lovely village location, food was superb staff beyond pleasant. Would throughly recommend.
Lovely lunch and great staff , nice relaxing venue
Food and service was impeccable. Beautiful village pub with a top class restaurant. Couldn't recommend enough.
Very pleasant Saturday lunch.
Great food and fabulous service - we all enjoyed our meals
Very good local pub with character in pretty village. Good food and varied menu. Very good attentive staff and service even on a very busy Saturday night.
Absolutely fabulous will be back for sure. Every course was just delicious 😍
This is my go to pub, but not after the other evening. We were on a table behind the door out of the restaurant and basically forgotten about. The service was terrible. I had the monkfish curry and it was watery and not very tasty. Very poor meal, not the norm for this pub.
Only criticism....waiter did not ask about allergies. Fish came with almonds , not stated on menu, and my friend has nut allergy. The dish was immediately replaced with nut free version. Well done for that.
This was our regular visit to the Belgian Arms as we stop there en route to the airport to start our holiday every year. It always feels like the start of our holidays and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the service prompt and friendly. One small complaint was that we had booked for our meal well in advance but we were shown to a small side table whilst customers who appeared to have arrived 'on spec' were shown to larger and more comfortable tables. I only noticed this as we were eating our meal when it was too late to do anything about it. It didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the meal - the fish and chips were excellent.
A little hidden away gem, limited but good menu, good location especially al fresco
Great food great pub and live band added for a great evening
As regulars for over 30 years, we think the pub is as good as ever as a restaurant and the service on this occasion was impeccable. However, we find it odd and frustrating that the main menu rarely changes. we would like to go more often. The two beers offered were flat, cloudy and lifeless. That said, we went on a Sunday recently and had the best Sunday lunch we have ever had there. It also welcomed the dog with us.
Really impressed. A small local pub win an absolutely stunning out door area. Food was absolutely delicious and staff extremely friendly. Thank you.
Great food and drinks; defiantly would visit again.
Fantastic roast dinner & pudding. Lovely service polite waitresses
As always a brilliant Sunday Lunch. One down point, however, is the time taken to serve the food. We arrived at 12.30 and yet it was almost 13.15 before lunch was served and yet we all had roast lunches which are usually served really quickly. We couldn’t understand why it took so long.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at The Belgian Arms. I had smashed avocado with poached eggs on toast and the eggs were cooked to perfection. My husband had the chorizo scrambled eggs and again the food did not disappoint. A spicy Bloody Mary for each of us rounded off the meal and started our bank holiday weekend rather well.
Delicious brunch with a lovely view of the pond and old country pub feel.
The Belgian Arms is an excellent pub with fantastic food. The great vegan menu means there is something for everyone.
Perfect in every way! Consistent food quality! Never a poor meal!
Sunday roast to die for. Great service, great food, lovely atmosphere.
Very good Sunday Lunch. Couldn’t fault it. Well I could but truthfully it was very good !!
Enjoyed the evening and the food was good could have had a little more music but that’s just a personal preference
Have t been for some time...food was ok ... nothing special and a rather mixed menu .....some pub classics...few restaurant dishes and even a curry!! Not sure it knows quite what it is!
Had a really good dinner meal; actually a business meal combined with friends for drinks and nibbles - so service was nice and flexible. Food was excellent on this evening. Overall Belgian Arms has kept high quality food coming out of the kitchen and improved ambience. Eating outside is particularly popular and they must just make sure there is plenty of smoke FREE tables and smoke doesn't drift onto non-smokers. Be great to exclude smoking altogether!!
