All the young wait staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The wine was chilled and good. The parfait starter arrived quickly and was delicious. Mains were generous and beautifully presented. Good selection of desserts that finished off a memorable meal. Stayed at the hotel and would definitely eat at bistro again.

There was a good choice on the menu. We ate main courses only but what we chose was very tasty and nicely presented. The portions were substantial and the flavours very good. The meals were slightly expensive - but not overly . We were nicely impressed with the quality

Food was absolutely delicious but I think they were short staffed as the service was slow. Seemed like one girl waiting all the tables on her own. Fortunately we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t matter too much.

Although there is choice enough for most people, you have to be prepared to wait a while to be served at the table. We waited a while before anyone even checked if we’d like a drink, then another long wait for the food. There are staff, but they don’t seem to organise themselves very well.

Service was excellent, lovely friendly helpful staff. My Asian duck salad sounded appetising from the menu, but was disappointingly bland in taste. My husband enjoyed his dish of braised beef.

You don’t get much food on your plate. I ordered the shepards / cottage pie and for a meal priced over £20 I expected more? I left the restaurant still hungry. For the reason above I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the bistro, but at the same time I wouldn’t bad mouth it either.

Menu was fantastic, the waitress made my request to the chef to change an element of my dish with no issue’s. The food was quick to come and such good value for money.

Service was sketchy. Long wait after given dessert menu to coming back for order. No offer of drinks menu when we sat down, and no checking later if we wanted more. Chicken was too tough to eat and waitress ignored the comment. My food was good, and wine lovely.
