Excellent Sunday lunch. Service was timely and staff were friendly and helpful. Generous helping of fresh meat and vegetables. Homemade Yorkshire puddings and a tasty cauliflower cheese. A very tasty gravy too! Choice of meats and other menu options. Good variation of real ales and craft beers.

Lovely welcome, lovely atmosphere, service was quick. Had food from the specials board, loads of choice between the specials and the standard menu. Will definitely be returning

Lovely Sunday lunch for 6 ( 4 adults and 2 children). Plenty of choice and very well cooked food . The boys enjoyed the outdoor play area , but ai would particularly like to mention our server who was really friendly, really witty and very efficient ( sorry I didn’t get her name). We only live down the road ( Taff’s Well)) so look forward to a few return visits in the future

Fabulous food as always went with friends had a really enjoyable night and a free bottle of wine which was unexpected, lovely touch to our meal.

This was one of the best Sunday lunches I have had when eating out. I think it is hard to reproduce a great home cooked Sunday lunch. I can not fault the lunch, 4 vegetables served with meal, including mashed suede! Home made Yorkshire puddings, which were fab and proper roasties. Staff and customers are lovely, service is great. Not much more to say other than, even the visiting dogs are friendly and most well behaved! Eaten at the pub a few times over a few weeks recently, it's a great pub.

We managed to book in the day before which is very unusual as it is normally booked up very quickly so was really pleased to get in. The Sunday lunch was amazing. Choice of beef, lamb, Turkey or belly pork. Vegetarian on offer too. The meat was tender fresh and tasty. Real homemade Yorkshire puddings snd ‘proper’ meat gravy. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. There was ample on offer for the two of us. We also had the cauliflower cheese which was excellent and perfectly served with a tasty crunchy top. They always roast their carrots which are always fab. The restaurant was busy and more children this time because it’s school holidays I guess but it was still a pleasant dining experience. Service was prompt and the staff were friendly and engaging. Great choice of beer, real ale and lager on offer as well as other bar options. A really tasty Sunday Sunday, I would recommend a visit!

As a rambler, I walk 4 miles from home through the woods to this wonderful pub. The food is amazing and particularly great value on a Wednesday evening - a bottle of (nice) wine free with two meals. The menu is great as is the food, and, whilst I do not generally eat chips - the chips are proper, from fresh. The staff are really welcoming, friendly and more than helpful. Service is great. Also, which makes it lovely, the other diners (and their dogs - never heard a dog bark there!) are lovely. Been there a few times there now, it is going to be a regular walk and eat place for me. I hope you also enjoy.
