Good selection and well cooked food, with some good ales behind the bar. I had ham hock scotch egg for starters, which was served with the yolk just right. My wife had the poached pear. Main course for me was the steak and ale pie with buttery mash and green veg. All well presented and the pie was piping hot. My wife would have like more choice for vegetarians, but opted for fish and chips, again all cooked and presented well, if you like chunky chips, crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, you will love these chips. We didn't have room for the pud. Will try and do better next time.
Superb quality meal cooked to perfection. Great choice menu at reasonable prices. Service was first class. Drinks menu very good.
