We stayed in he lodges for 2 nights for a friends 60th birthday and booked The Boathouse for the second nights dinner - it was a highlight of our trip! The staff looked after us so well especially Michael & Mellisa & Michael used his mixology skills to create a fantastic display of colourful cocktails for the 5 girl! It was amazing! Food was fantastic & great atmosphere too. Thanks everyone - especially Michael & Mellisa & we will definitely be back!

Food was good and a lovely menu for all different types of allergies/preferences. It took quite some time for us to both get the dessert menu and the bill. Which was surprising since under half of the restaurant was filled with customers.

This place has amazing views, the food was nice but felt it was over priced for the portion size. The service was incredibly slow, took 25 minutes before our drinks order was taken, we gave our food order at the same time. Our starters came after 30 minutes, but we waited a further 50 minutes before our main dish came. The two waiters kept apologising but felt the problem was an understaff kitchen.

We had pre-ordered Sunday Lunch; we received a phone call earlier in the day to ask if we still wanted Sunday lunch, we confirmed we did. On arrival we were shown to our table and received our drinks order efficiently; that’s where the efficiency ended! We were told there was only one chef on and there could be a wait; ok but 1.45 hour wait is not acceptable and once the food came it was inedible; dried up beef; frozen mash, broccoli, a few other potatoes and a burnt Yorkshire pudding. I must add that at no moment should the house stuff be blamed for this they were put in this situation by your senior management; short staffed and inexperienced chef in the kitchen, the service should have been stopped way before this situation got so bad. We were not the only people to refuse to eat their food, the plates should never have left the kitchen, we left still hungry and very disappointed on the last night of our holiday.

We chose to eat here on our night away on the main holiday park. We booked our table, and glad we did as folk being turned away at door as fully booked (A bit bizarre as hardly anyone in at the time, leaving people a bit perplexed) Our meal was lovely but quite pricey for what is just nice pub grub. Our bill for 2 adult mains, 1 child main , a side of bread and 2 soft drinks was £58. The restaurant had automatically added a 10% service charge too. I would always leave 10% in a restaurant, however I found this quite cheeky to be honest on a table of 3 only ordering mains only. Also if I had not been inclined to check the bill closely could have missed this. Staff nice enough but stood in the doorway a wee while to be noticed, again quite strange as restaurant near empty even though fully booked. We would come again if staying on site but more for convenience than anything else.
