Excellent facility’s
Worst Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten! The service is dreadful don’t think they have a very good manager to set example! It was freezing cold as all doors were open on a chilly day! Blowing a breeze all through the pub. When the food came it was cold, dry gravy was thick and never tasted mash like it? The staff clearly need customer service training. Then when we ordered bread and butter to go with fish we get rolls that you eat with soup? Not sure what’s happened as a year ago this was a lovely pub with beautiful food? We sat wondering if the head chef has left? Won’t be returning what a total waste of money
Disappointed with the overall quality of the food and the fact that certain starters were not available. We asked for a break between courses but this didn’t happen as the chef apparently had cooked our main course and it had to be delivered.
We had to wait 20 minutes at the bar to be served a drink as there was only two staff in and when I asked about food they said the chef was only on to 6 and this was 5.45 so I don’t get to have any food also no hand sanitizer when you walked into the pub it was a bit poor really.
Lovely family friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious 😋
Good pub food. Clean and friendly ambience. Staff were helpful and polite.
Having read menu on line chose what I wanted arrived at pub to find a reduced menu, which would have been fine except anything vegetarian was not available. Had fish and chips which was only option when it arrived batter was soft fish was dry. So will not be returning, shame as it is our local pub. Very disappointing. Also names and telephone numbers were taken in a book and left at reception open to the public this is breach of personal data.
I’d like it more if Staff wore face masks or face shields. Food was nice tho.
There was a long wait for food, even though we had booked and when it arrived 2 hours after our table booking it was ok. Social distancing Gould be much improved as we still had to go to the bar to order food.
We placed our order 4 adult meals and two children. At the point of ordering we were told no max and cheese, or super food salad not a biggy as a vegetarian I opted for the veg burger and the lovely server said she’d do it with jacket potato.
20 mins later I’m told there’s no jacket potato’s and there is nothing else on the menu i can eat.
We cancelled 4 adult meals and went without.
We went to order the children desert no chocolate brownie or fudge cake they ended up with a packet of malt eases behind the bar!!
The girl behind the bar couldn’t apologise enough and it wasn’t her fault I felt sorry for her. 2 waitresses for a packed pub, running out of food and we all went hungry. Really disappointed we normally love in her and never have any issues with the food.
Had to ask for cutlery
Was given no sauces and only 3 vinegars for 4 diners
Food was nice but we had fried chicken platters (lovely) however the gravy came in really small pots that wasn’t half full so here really wasn’t enough for the whole dinner
I love the boot for beer, entertainment and atmosphere but it wouldn’t be my first choice for an overall dining experience
Delicious roast, great service and well thought out set up for Covid.
nice enough food booked a table that was a waste of time gave us somebody else's and we had to move
Tasty food for good value welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Great service.
Had some lovely meals at The Boot with family and friends and never been disappointed with the food or service. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Overall it’s a place to relax and enjoy the food and ambience. Would recommend a visit to anyone.
Unexpected delight. Extensive menu. Live music too
