The Botany was an absolutely fantastic restaurant, with very few tables perched high up on a little balcony with amazing views in every direction. Would absolutely go back.

We decided to stop at this rooftop because it was two doors down from our Airbnb. We specified in our reservation notes that we would like an Acropolis view and they did seat us on the end with the view, however only one person was facing it. There’s only about two tables in the rooftop that have a front row view, otherwise you may be seated with a blocked view or no view at all. We got the bread and olive oil appetizer and it was good, however, the ratio of bread to olive oil was completely off. When we asked for more olive oil to go with the huge piece of bread, we were not told yes or no just ignored. The entree was good, but not spectacular. Overall, it was a good experience but a few things could’ve made it even better.

Unfortunately, our experience at Botany Roof Garden was very disappointing. The service was poor and slow, far below what you would expect from a restaurant in this price range. The prices are high and the portions are extremely small, while the quality of the food simply does not justify the cost. It feels like you are paying mainly for the location and the Acropolis view rather than for the dining experience. We were looking forward to a pleasant dinner as a couple in Athens, but left very disappointed. There are many better options in the city in terms of food, service, and value for money. I would not recommend it.

The Botany rooftop is not just an incredible view of the acropolis, but a destination for fabulous food and service as well. I left a note that it was my dad’s birthday and they were so accommodating, gave us a table with a lovely view, and were so kind. I would love to come back next time I go to Athens!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with very welcoming service! From the very warm greeting from the general manager to the spot-on food recommendations and wine pairings from our waitress, everything was expertly done! We will definitely visit The Botany again once we return to Athens.

Amazing food!! The views from rooftop were spectacular and the entire staff are to be commended for their service and hospitality. We were treated like family, and they even took beautiful pictures of us with the Acropolis in the background. This is a very classy place. Would highly recommend for a special night out !!!
