Food delicious, but service was VERY slow. Waitresses lovely, not sure what the delays were. A couple of extra requests incorrect/missed but rectified quickly. One of the main courses lukewarm as though it had been sitting around for a while. Would definitely try it again though 😊
Food was absolutely 10/10, would highly recommend the pork belly. Service was second to none, and our group has a brilliant time. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Great experience at The Bowery last night! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food, cocktails were gorgeous! Definitely will be visiting again soon!
Last minute lunch time treat.
Very welcoming, staff lovely, food choices good.
We both had steak sandwich, delicious 😋
Food was very good service was shocking
Service staff were very abrupt and rude and food was slow coming out and then luke warm. A shame as have had a very positive experience in here before, not sure I’d come back
Service was terrible, had to ask for menus after 5 minutes, had to ask for drinks, took half an hour to clear our empty starters and then 20minutes on our mains and a Fanta I ordered at the same time. Won’t be back ever, and spice girls is not an appropriate song choice for the ambience of that restaurant😂
Food was OK, music a little loud for enjoying a meal and a chat. Put on a table in the corner which you could barley move out of. Food was OK though nothing to write home about
The food was just lovely & the staff very pleasant & helpful. The noise level was way too high especially at this time of pandemic & everybody had to shout. People behind got up to dance in a very narrow space & no senior member checked or tried to stop them. So my overall experience was good & bad.
Pretty enviroment, food was very good and with a nice presentation and the prices were not very expensive
Food was delicious and service excellent. Very friendly staff.
Beautiful surroundings with lovely staff
Lovely treat to end the week..Friendly service, tasty food and very relaxing.
Dinner took a very long time and the service was very slow. Dinner could have been warmer and one of our meals was incorrect. We were one of two tables in the Bowery. Very disappointing.
Mostly greats service from the very welcoming staff.
Waited quite a long time for food and then 2/3 dishes came out roughly 10 minutes before the last dish. Monkfish (x2) was good, burger was late, fairly cold, over cooked and dry. Chips were outstandingly good.
Fantastic dinner with attentive staff and great background music to add to the ambience.
Can't wait to return again 😊
Service was brilliant. 3 from 4 of us loved our food
Great veggie options. We normally do not choose vegan dishes but we found the risotto & veggie burger great choices that didn't short change on anything. I think I even may prefer the veggie burger to the meat one....
Efficient and pleasant service
Good selection on menu
Everyone’s food was very tasty and filling
We had a voucher which was the reason we visited The Bowery. It’s was lovely. Only reason we didn’t give a 5 star rating was that the table and glasses were dirty and the food was a bit under seasoned.
Excellent restaurant, extremely tasty food and lovely atmosphere, I visited at the weekend with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing evening.
Good Atmos and vegan options. Staff nice. Will be back
Food was to die for, the monkfish was so good. Cocktails delicious and the bar staff great crack.
Venue is nice and is great for drinks but wouldn’t go back for food.
6 of us out for a family dinner. Got seated on circular table at the back. Lovely atmosphere and plenty of room. We got a mixture of steaks (quite pricey and sides are extra) ), burgers absolutely delicious and supreme of chicken. Everyone thoroughy enjoyed their meals. Would highly recommend
Service was appalling, waited an hour and half for main course. Plus several drinks orders never appeared and had to be requested a few times. Chronically understaffed, would not recommend.
Food and atmosphere was lovely but service was extremely slow. We had to ask for our bottle of wine four times and it only arrived with our mains - not with our starters. Quite a long wait between courses - we sat down at 8pm and didn’t have dessert until 11pm! After we had the bill no one came near us to take payment so we had to pay on the way out.
Food was lovely! Service was fantastic they were quite good at keeping us up to date with our order status as it took a bit longer than expected. It was a bit weird that half of our party got their mains and had finished them by the time the other half got theirs. It probably would have helped if we had pre-ordered food as we were a large party.
One hour waiting time from Starter to Main. We had to remind one of the waiters that we were still waiting for the food and it seems that they had forgotten, since the next table, which had arrived later, was already eating. We don't even get a discount for bad service, which is what is usually done elsewhere if this happens. Even having spent over £ 100 on our dinner.
3 steaks not cooked as ordered. Very disappointing as it meant that effectively we paid £34 each for chips, onion rings & pepper sauce as steak was inedible. We complained and a very nice manager offered to take food off the menu. He also offered us a drink, which we declined as my husband was driving. However when the bill arrived we were surprised to see that only one of the meals had been deducted. To be fair, I had asked for a doggy box as I was going to cook the steak when I got home, but as the entire dining experience had been so awful, the dog was the recipient of the leftovers. This was my husband's 66th birthday. He chose the Bowery as he believed it would be a dining experience to remember. We will remember it, but not for the right reasons.
Of note, the staff were lovely. We would / could not fault their service.
A great night, food was lovely. Very noisy though, difficult to hear friends across table.
The arrival of the robin was definitely different, however some of the tactics to catch it left a lot to be desired. The service seemed to drop a little, the staffs mind were possible focused on the bird as I had to ask for more drinks, see where my dessert was and then ask for cutlery to eat said dessert. Food was lovely, as it’s our local we’ll be back no doubt.
Had a lovely meal food was excellent
Device was very friendly and efficient
Enjoyed the experience
Service seemed slow service. Drinks came after food which could be as understaffed. Still a lovely meal
Amazing food, you won’t be disappointed. Staff very friendly
Not worth a visit our dinner was awful waited an hour for it to come out only to be cold then received anothet one ten minutes later obviously the same one reheated nearly impossible to get anyone's attention Do not reccomemd it
Just 3 ladies on a night out for food and drinks .
Lovely food .
Cool decor .
Good waitress service in bar .
Girlie catch up which was perfect! All staff and managers couldn’t have been nicer!
Good/decor/service good. Music far too loud despite requests to lower volume.
Had seafood pie which was tasty but not very warm. Service was slow initially but improved over time. Did not appreciate service charge for a table of 5. Tipping should be voluntary and based on quality of service.
