For a more relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy the equally impressive culinary creations in a more informal setting outside. More casual than the main restaurant, but just as decadent, The Terrace is a fantastic place to meet with friends and take in the wonderful views of Bracebridge Pool – perfect on a summer’s day.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the majestic and historic Sutton Park, offering a unique and memorable place to dine, drink and relax.

Good quality food. Beautiful location and excellent service
What a really pleasant surprise it was to dine here with friends. We had the Xmas menu which was excellent. Service was spot-on and the atmosphere just right. We shall return. Iain
Great food- looked fantastic and tasted it too!
First visit to the Bracebridge since the change of ownership from the Boathouse.
Put on the table next to the entrance door.
Very cold night outside, consequently we felt it at the table, feet were like blocks of ice, the girls had their backs to the door and were very uncomfortable.
Food when cold quickly due to the location of the table.
The restaurant was busy which meant the noise level was high with a constant din.
Positives, the food presentation and taste was excellent, staff very efficient and accommodating and the set up is good apart from table 14 in the winter.
We all had the Christmas set menu, which I thought came with coffee but we were not offered any?
Would I go again not sure.
We enjoyed an enjoyable lunch with first class service. My only criticism would be that the restaurant was cold.
Excellent menu, well executed. Friendly and helpful staff.
For UK this is a reasonable attempt at high end although we've paid similar prices for making the level high end.
All said, you won't be disappointed as the menu choice is restricted so I presume they get the quality right.
We were first offered a table in a near empty resturant next to the kitchen which is very noisy with staff collecting the dishes and just a perforated barrier in between. When we declined and stated our guest was having a birthday celebration, we were offered another table with a lake view if we could depart in 2 hrs.
The meal was very enjoyable with a touch too much attention from the staff although they were always very polite and accommodating.
The food quite high quality and one dish we asked how the sauce was prepared and once more, the staff accommodated us with the ingredients and preparations. We will try to recreate this at home as it was devine.
The ladies of our party had dessert. Their faces when they tasted them were a picture of child like immense delight that really sealed the evening off in a most positive way.
Then the staff presented a birthday surprise which was both appropriately modest but very exquisite.
We will return here again many times but look forward to a wider variety of dishes on offer and perhaps something a bit more bold.
We left a tip on top of the 10% service charge as it was well deserved.
Lovely surroundings but uncomfortably cold. We were sat in full length coats for the duration of our meal, which for such a significant price spoiled our enjoyment of the evening and food.
The service charge was very significant and not pointed out at the time of paying.
Little cold think problem with heating and music too loud
Excellent food, ambience, location and great service will definitely be going again.
It was a miserable wet night but the warm of the welcome more than made up for it. We were offered a choice from a winter menu with a quite gamey but varied selection. The food itself was to a standard well above expectations full of flavour without being too rich and pretty to look at too.
The wine list started at a reasonable price level and we tried a mid-list Viognier which was slightly oily and full of flavour as one would expect, it went well with the fish courses and was strong enough to work with the excellent Veal Cutlet too.
It was dark outside so we couldn't enjoy the fabulous view but the standard of the meal showed that the restaurant can stand up perfectly well on it's own and will surly be visited by the man from Michelin very soon.
Family lunch, can’t really say much about this place. The views over the lake were pleasant, the service impeccable, the food was excellent, albeit I still think it’s at the pricer end of the market. No complaints about anything
Excellent Sunday lunch also a la carte available would definitely go again, good service too
Excellent, very helpful staff. Really enjoyed a special birthday meal
We spent another evening at the Bracebridge with our nine year old daughter, and our friends and their daughter. First of all, our daughters were treated wonderfully, having Mocktails at the bar to start with and being allowed to either order from the Terrace menu (where there are pizzas etc), or from the a la carte menu (on the basis of half sized/half priced). The food was, as usual outstanding, especially the Tomohawk steak!! The service was super, all members of the team there are super friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough for us, and the atmosphere is lively and friendly. We're looking forward to returning soon!
Nice welcome on arrival and lovely area to have a pre-dinner drink/cocktail. Nice table overlooking the lake, must be one of the nicest restaurant views.
The food was presented beautifully and main courses were enjoyed by all. The veal millanaise is served differently but tender and tasty.
10% service is added to the bill at the end which is well worth the money for the attentive and pleasant service.
This is my second time here, this visit better than the previous one with the food exceptional again but the service lacking.
I recommend this restaurant highly!
My only negative would be that the restaurant felt cold on arrival and struggled to maintain temperature.
I would recommend it to a friend purely for them to check it out for themselves. A beautifully furnished restaurant with equally beautiful views. The waiting staff were very attentive and courteous. Felt a little bit of 'a vibe' from the Maitre d' who before we had even sat down, asked us if we'd like to order drinks, then seemed a little miffed when asked to give us a minute to settle in... Limited lunch menu for Saturday afternoon dining and an £80 bill for 1 soft drink, 2 cups of herbal tea and fish and chips thrice was not my idea of value for money.
Beautiful location, restaurant decor was a high standard as was the service. My main issue is it's not fine dining, the quality of the food was good, the presentation wasn't great which isn't an issue if your spending £40 on a meal for two, it is when the bill is £100. I had veal which is normally served as a small escallop, I was served a large breaded cutlet on the bone with spaghetti plonked on the side of the plate which I didn't feel was 'fine dining'
Food was amazing and I had the curry and it was the best I’ve ever eaten and service was just perfect Lee was outstanding always attentive and kept our glasses topped up and professional and friendly.
Beautiful restaurant with stunning views.
Impeccably refurbished and in keeping with its original style.
Service and food super and we’re looking forward to our next visit.
Absolutely gorgeous food, fabulous service and a beautiful setting.
Lemon Sole and Beef Curry were delicious. service good and the atmosphere was great.
This is our fourth visit and it just gets better and better. Although, had some doubts over the menu as we couldn't really find anything that really turned our juices on. I may be a philistine but I really don't think you can beat the Bracebridge Prawn Cocktail starter even at £12.50 a pop. In all honesty, when we saw the menu online we nearly booked elsewhere, but the day was saved by the day's special.
Beautiful location and an excellent place to go to for a special occasion. The food was very good, I had the calves liver, which was superb, and my wife had a tender steak, which was cooked as requested. Warm, friendly and attentive service. A little too pricey to visit on a regular basis.
The price of the food means that it should. Be of the highest quality.
It is not.I had a fillet steak at £28 which only included undercooked onion rings
I had to pay extra for chips. The steak was tough.
I would not recommend this overpriced pretentious restaurant
Really enjoyed, food was excellent and service was friendly yet professional. Pricey maybe but I enjoyed and happy to pay for what I had.
A bit tricky to find in the dark if you are not familiar with the area, but was well worth getting lost for. Service 10/10. Waiter’s knowledge of the menu was on point. Food AMAZING! Every course was well worth every penny.
Would most definitely visit again and recommend.
had a wonderful birthday meal here, loved it - the service was excellent
Excellent food and service. Only complaint was young children in the restaurant who were quite noisy at times
I met friends for brunch and it was wonderful - food was delicious, staff were attentive but not overbearing and the view was amazing. It couldn't have been better. Will definitely go again.
Disappointing. Location stunning but doesn't make up for the mediocre food. Tasty but not 2 Michelin starred that they promote. Nice but would not return to eat in a rush.
A very noisy birthday celebration spoiled for me the beauty of the night. My second visit at The Bracebrdge but many at the Boathouse.
Poor ambience eg 3 tables with total of 8 dinners for 1300 Thurs! But excellent food and service. Do not like the very hard reservation system offered by Opentable, credit card details upfront etc. However, reasons for going this way well explained by staff. Even so, a disturbing trend!
My partner and I had a wonderful evening here with beautiful food and I have to say that the service was excellent. I have heard alot of negative comments about this restaurant since it reopened so was a little unsure about what to expect. Thankfully our experience was wonderful and we look forward to another visit very soon.
Great food and service in idyllic surrounds.
Only downside was the coffee, but the food was delicious.
The service could not be questions, as all the staff were very attentive and professional.
We all liked the ambience, but it was found to be quite noise at 19:30 on a Friday.
The Menu choice was less than expected. The Tuna was found to be slightly under cooked & a 16 oz Rib eye steak was a bit tougher than expected.
But all in all the four of us had a very enjoyable evening and will be returning.
Fabulous and tasty food - excellent value and great service. Highly recommend particularly for special occasions.
Warm welcoming and food was served hot!!!
High quality customer experience stemming from highly professional ownership. Fantastic location, brilliant service, great food. Top drawer restaurant.
Nice location great food the view on the web site is great. Our view was watching the chefs cook and people visiting the toilet. We arrived by Uber unfortunately the resturant WiFi wasn’t working there was no phone signal. The resturant called for a local taxi which would arrive 10-15 20 min later no taxi. Resturant called to check arrival time 2-3 min we waited 35 min before calling a different taxi which arrived within 5 min. Shame as it spoilt a good evening.
