For a more relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy the equally impressive culinary creations in a more informal setting outside. More casual than the main restaurant, but just as decadent, The Terrace is a fantastic place to meet with friends and take in the wonderful views of Bracebridge Pool – perfect on a summer’s day.

Lovely food can’t wait to go again. Staff was wonderful and we had a prefect night.
Fab first meal out after lockdown (and a first proper date!)
Ambience and service is spot on and the food was incredible!! Not cheap but then you get what you pay for!
A wonderful evening had by the two of us. Great food, great wine and good atmosphere in a wonderful setting by the lake.
Can’t wait to go again.
My partner and I frequent the Bracebridge often, it really is a stunning venue with exceptional food and lovely staff, it is most definitely one of our favourite places to dine, this following note refers to one night only but I thought it worth mentioning,
We dined on 12/04/2021, opening night following the lifting of restrictions, everything was as good as ever, staff, food, setting, all excellent and top class. We were however put off by a large group of young lads (no older than late teens) occupying a centre table in the restaurant, they were very rowdy, very drunk and very loud, the language in particular was pretty foul and I would have expected the staff to step in to either calm them down or move them on, instead they just plied them with more alcohol and as such the noise levels went up, to be honest this spoilt the evening for us as we were constantly distracted by their antics, noise and bad language, this is a one off as whenever we have visited before it has been spot on, I do feel you need to be careful not to drive people away by allowing rowdy groups of teenagers to gather getting far too drunk, keep it classy or you could drive away good custom, I am all for groups having a good night out and getting drunk together, I just feel that is more suited to a broad street bar environment rather than a nice classy restaurant, we will be back as we love the place, just hopefully on a night when we can actually enjoy the ambiance rather than being sat listening to foul mouthed teenagers who can’t handle their drink.
My reason for the poor ratings is that we never actually got to eat at the restaurant as it was closed upon our arrival. We accept the covid restrictions were a major factor but no had the manners or common sense to contact us to let us know the restaurant would not be open despite contacting me on text and then email two days before our allotted time to confirm we were still coming. I was aware that the restaurant was still serving take away food from the kiosk so staff were on site but again no one could be asked to leave a message or text me to say the restaurant would not open as planned. I tried to call the restaurant seven time on the day of the booking but a voice message simply said "Nobody here and you can't leave a message" this was despite someone picking the phone up and replacing the receiver when they heard my voice during one of my calls. Hardly 21st Century customer service. I understand the issues of covid restrictions and fully accept that this was major factor in the mis-communication but surely someone could/should have let me know. I spent money on a child minder and taxis for nothing. Simply poor customer service. Please disregard the values I entered for the quality of food etc as I had to enter a rating to get to this page.
Fantastic experience once again at The Bracebridge! Amazing food and drinks, plus friendly attentive service. What more could you ask for! Our favourite place for a special meal out
The perfect setting. Delicious fish and chips.
Thank you team Bracebridge for making everything so Covid secure. So sad that the restaurant has had to close for another lockdown but very appreciative of you keeping the kiosk open.
Wonderful food, the best Roast lunch ever! and great service too.
Great night out, brilliant food, great atmosphere and location. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
Excellent! Beautiful ambiance! Lovely food!
Only negative was it took a while for our orders to be taken however once we had, it didn’t take long for drinks to arrive and then food. This is fine if you go relaxed n in no rush. Our waiter was also very quiet but he could have been new, just needed a little more confidence as I asked about need for side dishes. This definitely didn’t put us off wanting to return. I want to book outside table next time as it looked so pretty with fairy lights n cosy with heaters!
Overall a nice meal , but table placement not so good we were right next to the till with at least 2 to 3 members of staff gathered around throughout our meal. not great, the other side of the table booth right next to the kitchen with washing up going on lots of clattering of dishes . I would request another table if sat here as really not good. When our party came to leave two waitress standing around till chatting to which we couldn’t get by and with social distancing , really not ideal the staff should stand aside to let customers by.
Food good but really would suggest moving of this table and staff to be more professional .
Generally all good. My low rating of value is my personal prejuduce against service charges.
Just include it on the price of the food. I find it unpleasant to be whacked for a further 10% on top of the menu price. It also stops me tipping the waiting staff.
Food, service and setting were all amazing, can't wait to go back when it reopens x
Excellent throughout, food and service and unbeatable setting.

We booked and ate here for my wife’s birthday, we have visited the old boat house restaurant a few times before so we’re looking forward to seeing the changes. On entry we were not disappointed, (we had previously commented that the place could have done with a freshen-up so was pleased to see the changes). The restaurant still retained the character that the building had but appeared fresh, modern and inviting, the menu was a nice mix of classic dishes with a good choice of starter and desert. My wife started with the scallops which were delicious, I went for the baby ribs which were equally as tasty. Mains were a traditional cheese burger for me which was very good and my wife went for a halibut served with cray fish in a burnt butter sauce- delicious. With a side order of buttery mash a large glass of red wine and a soft drink, (we were too full for desert) the bill came to around £89 including a 10% service charge, a little more than some places but we thought it was worth it for a special occasion. We will visit again as we both saw other items on the menu and other orders coming out that we would like to try.
Thank you for an excellent lunch. Delicious food as before.
The food was delicious and the surroundings were beautiful. However, decaf coffee was not available and then we were served coffee with almond milk which had gone off. The coffee was replaced but the cup had not been washed out or replaced. The waitress removed the price of the coffee from the bill but we were not compensated or apologised to which was disappointing.
Lovely food in a beautiful environment. We sat outside and it felt as though we were on holiday. Food was stunning. Steak perfectly cooked. Felt like fine dining. I will definitely come back again and take advantage of the set menu offer. For me on my own my food and drink came to £75 which was very expensive but it was a much needed treat.
It is in a beautiful setting and the restaurant is very lovely inside. Outside seating is great now too - good luck through what we know is uncertain times
It is some time since I last had a somewhat disappointing meal there in surroundings in need of refurbishment so I was very impressed with the refurbished dining area. The service was excellent, the meal would have got an extra star but for the slightly tough duck, though the sauce was excellent. The white New Zealand wine was excellent, my Wife's favourite, though I thought the price a bit high. My wife and I are somewhat elderly wearing hearing aids and found conversation difficult. However all in all, a very pleasant Lunch.
Great service but value for money was not there,my wife myself and our 8 year old son 170 pounds does not entice people to go out to spend money, mackerel starter very plain best thing was the pesto couldn't taste the fish, steaks both fillet and tomahawk were cooked really well, atmosphere poor but not the restaurant's fault, the boat near muckley corner a little more expensive but far better quality
A Lovely setting for an evening dining experience with good food.
Well thought out and organised outdoor dining. We were kept warm by outdoor heaters and protected from the elements. Xx
Lovely meal. Tastefully presented. Friendly helpful staff.
Setting well managed in these difficult times.
We had a lovely meal at the Bracebridge. The service and food was very good. The portions are very generous on the main courses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go there again. There is also a large covered seating area outside and this looked lovely and was very popular.
A great little Haven with great food. I would go back there & hope the outside area, that has a COVID friendly atmosphere stays after the virus has cleared. Well done. Paul Hughes
Had a problem trying to arrange a different time change on the day from evening to lunch time as no one answered the phone or emailed back. Other than that a nice experience
What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We chose to sit outside, heaters are there also blankets should the need arise. The food was superb, the service excellant all of the staff are very friendly happy and very happy to help you.
My family and I had a lovely memorable afternoon.
Thank you Claire and her wonderful team
Great food, very attentive staff who are very keen to make your experience as anjoyable as possible. Good ambience, great location.
Lovely place, food was exceptional and service second to none. Highly recommended
The food was amazing and only bested by the service 😋
I was really surprised at how relaxing and warm it was to dine outside at the Bracebridge. Will definitely be returning there. Food lovely, staff very friendly and helpful.
As always excellent. The staff are a delight.
Simply amazing 10 out of 10
Fabulous meal could really do with a small childrens menu other than that superb x
The food, drink and service was super, as always!
The outdoor restaurant seating adaptations that run in line with covid guidance are great. It meant I could meet my two friends for lunch without breaching any current Government guidance. It’s been very well thought out with heaters and a new overhead covering to ensure your are warm and dry (I will probably take a blanket in colder weather). Strangely, the partitioning screens actually enhanced the experience in that it reduced noise from neighbouring tables and made it feel more intimate.
Great place, lovely staff, stunning views, would highly recommended
Excellent experience all round. We were seated outside (to comply with new rules) and the area was lovely great views before sunset, we’ll heated and spaced out and a great atmosphere. Food and wine were delicious. Service fantastic!! It isn’t a cheap restaurant but worth every single penny! Will definitely be coming back soon!
Lovely place and atmosphere, just didn’t like the food . But excellent service
Brilliant restaurant, never disappoints. Cannot recommend enough.
