We loved everything! Cannot daily anything!
Very disappointing. Strange choice of food. Not to everyone's taste. Mainly for healthy eaters. Good desserts. Nice bread. Good coffee. But expensive since we did not eat very much!
Very nice laid back Sunday lunch great service with lots of choices of starters mains and desserts
This Sunday carvery is really good value!
Enjoyable put a bit pricey, I would choose a different starter though next time - the Goats cheese starter was slightly disappointing.
Wonderful service and delicious meal. Cannot fault a thing!
Great service, great food and really nice ambiance. Loved it here 10/10 would love to give more, will definitely be coming back
Tasty food and good service. Chef looked after us and prepared vegan gravy. Thank you
Staff extremely friendly and professional. Nothing to much trouble.Especially the brasserie staff, food fantastic and chef accomadated us when we asked for something not on menu. Chambermaids so friendly, room very clean, roomy, and beds like fluffy clouds so big you could get lost on them.
Cant wait to go again.
Lovely restaurant and food! Waiter was amazing! Thank You!
Lovely food, very tasty and great selection. Service was excellent too. Will definitely be returning.
Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, delicious food will definitely be going backxxx
I booked a table in the Brasserie for my boyfriend's birthday and we were greeted by staff who were very friendly and wished my boyfriend a happy birthday. The restaurant was not too busy at 7:30 but very stylish and comfortable and overlooks the Spa area. We were shown to our table and I asked to see a cocktail menu which was promptly delivered.
My boyfriend and I chose to order the same dishes which were the Prawn Cocktail and Lamb Chops, the food arrived fairly quickly with enough time between orders to chat and enjoy the atmosphere so we didn't feel rushed at all. The food itself was absolutely delicious with special mention to the Garlic & Rosemary Lamb Chops which were HUGE! I've never seen such big chops especially served in a restaurant and you get 3 of them. The dish was around £20 so I thought it was really good value, especially for what is a fairly swanky restaurant (although feels really informal and not snooty at all). Unfortunately we could not fit in a dessert but both vowed we would return in the near future.
great place with great staff, friendly, professional and helpful
The food is excellent, a good choice, would be nice to have a specials board maybe.
Food was served piping hot, but waited a while for the main course.
I had a brownie for dessert, this should have been served warm but was cold and a little dry. Far from the standard of brownie I would have expected.
Food in general was good value but drinks were expensive.
A very enjoyable experience, food quality and ambience were very good.
Food was very average. Steak did blow me away, rather fatty lots of gristle. Disappointing
Great food and great service
The brasserie doesn’t serve the menu at lunchtime. There is only a buffet. So I paid £60 for 2 plates of salad.
They couldn’t find my reservation.
Noise level was high.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the service- I told them on booking that it was my husbands birthday and they remembered and brought him a little cake! Steak was very smokey and tasty. Quite expensive- over £100 for both of us, with a glass of prosecco and a glass of wine each, and that was with mains which were on the cheap end of the menu. Still, was a nice evening and a good option if you are staying overnight and don’t want to go to the more formal ‘restaurant’.
Fantastic food and g
The service was damaging would highly recommend
Atmosphere and service were excellent however, the food itself was the true highlight. Everyone at the table couldn't stop saying how good the food was. I recommend the whole sea bream, beautifly cooked.
Food great staff very friendly Christmas decks amazing
Lovely lunch with the family. Nice selection of food and very helpful staff. Would definitely go back.
Our waiter was amazing he really looked after us and made us feel comfortable. The food was outstanding and portions were a good size and good value for money aswell.
Well love the idea of not need for parking and beautiful country view. Lots of lovely selections of food. We had lovely time.
Thank you 😊
Great venue for meeting friends for lunch. We were very pleasantly surprised as we didn't know what to expect. The staff were lovely, from the welcoming staff on reception, to the bar staff as well as the waiting and kitchen staff. All were helpful yet professional. The food was really good - a great selection on offer and just the right amount - and fantastic value. We will return, next time as a larger group.
The Brasserie at Sopwell House is a lovely open restaurant set out to look like an Orangery. It feels light and airy and never over crowded.
The lunchtime food is buffet. Small plates of delicacies set out around a central display area. The plates are replenished constantly so are never empty. It’s beautiful food. Lovely flavours. Beautiful colours and a great choice whether you are a vegetarian or meat eater. There really is something for almost any palate.
It was our third visit to Sopwell and we enjoyed it immensely.
Yes but try to avoid when restaurant entertaining groups .
I was very disappointed with the afternoon. I brought my parents to the brasserie as a treat, unaware that the a la carte menu would be unavailable. Sadly, the buffet was all that was on offer. The choice was limited and the food was cold, perhaps because it was towards the end of lunch, but having spent £30 per head I would’ve expected better.
Sopwell House itself is lovely, the reception is warm and inviting, but I wouldn’t recommend the buffet to anyone for the price.
Virtually empty to my surprise, the food was at it's usual high standard, the service efficient as always. An enjoyable experience.
Nice informal atmosphere although the wines could at a more competitive price
The food was delicious. My only complaint was that I ordered my Lamb chops medium and I felt they were a little rare. The sticky toffee pudding was divine!
Service was excellent and we both had a wonderful meal.
Was a lovely venue. Service was excellent.
Limited food choices, but still tasty.
Excelent service, great food and the staff were brilliant.Chantel was excellent even bringing a birthday cake out for my wife, thank you.
Good variety of food and pleasant service from chef and waitress, Restaurant feels much improved now you aren't surrounded by people in dressing gowns!
Lunch was buffet style with an array of different cold and hot options to choose from. All excellent and very tasty.
Quality, service and general ambiance excellent. Only criticism is the wine list with limited options for those who want their wine by the glass.
Lovely lunch and chance to catch up in a very pleasant ambience with dear friends. Friendly staff and buffet excellent selection and choice.
