The Brasserie Lancaster

We had a lovely meal although it wasn’t without its hiccups. Firstly, we waited for an hour and 20 minutes for our starter whilst everyone around us (who came in long after us) were having theirs. We told the waiters, we’d simply been forgotten about. We had our starters and they kindly knocked this off our bill. The main came out pretty quickly after that but then they also forgot the sides that we ordered with it (pretty frustrated by now) which took another 10 minutes to come. We didn’t bother with a dessert as we’d been in there a good 2 hours by now. The meal itself was lovely, the waiters / waitresses were apologetic and friendly. The service - well that was s**t shocking.

This is a stunning Hotel and the decor is beautiful. The Christmas decorations were up and looked amazing. We went for lunch, three friends for a chat and a catch up. We all agreed that the food was delicious and presented very well. The staff were attentive and polite and looked after us very well. We liked it so much we've decided to go back next month!

Dissapointing service, lack of hospitality check, main was awful and food was generally overpriced considering portion size, missing elements for sides, poor attempt at an apology/good will at the end and would not recommend to a friend/would not return.

Excellent food and really good value, all staff friendly and attentive. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We will definitely be back soon.

Food was 10/10! Amazing value. We were put in the back room on our own which was nice but lacked atmosphere. Due to being on our own also we had to wait a bit in between to get served. Overall great value and we will be visiting again.

Afternoon tea with family and food was delicious . Presented well , decor lovely just a shame we had to ask for our pot of tea and then some scones as they hadn’t been brought to us.

The renovations to The Kings Arms Hotel are a vast improvement. Opening up the ground floor and creating a Brasserie works very well and the new glass additions help flood the ground floor with light, making it a very pleasant area to eat in.
We had lunch and found the menu quite limited - ‘brunch’ options are served, we hadn’t realized this beforehand. However we all enjoyed our food, it was cooked and presented well.
The service was rather slow. We were left for long periods waiting to be attended, initially with our menus waiting to order and again after our main course awaiting desert menus - we had to ask for these.
The staff, however, were pleasant and welcoming.
I think if we return it will be in the evening as the dinner menu looked better.

The perfect venue to meet up for an inexpensive, delicious lunch with a colleague or friend. We’ll be back.

Excellent service, attentive and friendly whilst not over the top. valentines menu was wonderful... nice to try some different dishes, great to have complimentary fizz and cocktail shots, rose and chocolates at the end was a nice touch.

Absolutely love the place. I’ve been for bottomless brunch with friends and for Sunday lunch with my husband and each time everything is brilliant.

We went to this restaurant for our anerversry, the food was great as was the service.

We were very fortunate to eat in a small dining room which was brilliant for our party of 8 people. The staff were very good. We did not have to wait for anything they were professional and friendly. I would recommend this place as one of the best in Lancaster. Just what Lancaster needs.
